You can get this if one or more heater plug " glow plug" has broken, some have a cylinder pressure sensor built in this is where the error comes from when the sensor breaks
Recently I get this message. Check with OBD2 intake pressure and figure out that I get this message when pressure exceed 220 kpa. ECU cut down engine power. So check electromagnetic valve that control bypass valve in turbine. I had a hole in rubber pipe
Mine has been doing this for some time.Reset it but it came straight back. Got the car serviced yesterday and the Garage found a faulty glow plug. New plug has fixed it. Yippee! 2010 CDTi.
@@tyronegarey1419 yes it's glow plug and has a built-in cylinder combustion measuring sensor. it could also be the glow plug side of it itself. a quick scan will show which one is faulty. they are quite expensive at around upward of £100. you need a 12mm deep socket and a torque wrench to torque it to 10nm. it's a 5 minute job.
After the faulty part has been replaced do you need to reset code or will it reset its self and stop coming up with service vehicle on dashboard My faulty part is the radiator thermostat Look forward to your reply
Generally it comes when you have a faulty glow plugs or the turbo pipe is cracked.. of the turbo pipe is cracked the car will loose power and go in to limp mode! After the erasing the code it will come back if you don't address the matter in hand! Thanks
@@dibasohel1655 If it is indeed one of the glow plugs done .. it's okay to drive like that.. the car needs them to start and also for regenerating the filter particle ! You might have issues starting it if it is very cold outside! Worse case scenario .. car won't start!

It’s on my customers insignia because it has a DPF fault and it’s in limp mode, I’ve deleted all the faults and removed the Dpf but I’ve got to get someone to remap it and remove the Dpf from the ecu to cure it
I have the same on my opel corsa 2015. And it doesn’t only show that, the car actually loses power after the message and as I change to higher gears on freeway the speed drops and after sometime it becomes normal. This needs to be addressed, I don’t wanna be burnt in car. This looks like it’s an opel issue.
This message just came up on my car today during driving. I dismissed it, and I managed to get home. Do you know if it is a serious problem, or it can wait a couple of days? The car was fine when I drove it back, and still I have to use it today. I just don't know wether I can drive it or not. Thank you!

Thanks for this my brother put a blow off valve on my Astra gtc it messed up my car so I've took it off and now I have this message and the engine light is on with this blow off valve it was down on power and ran rubbish I've took it off and so if I buy a code reader and clear it it should be ok you just saved me from going to Vauxhall and paying stupid money out so thanks alot
No problem 👍, for engine scan buy any ELM37 Bluetooth from amazon or ebay for £10 to $20 and should be more than enough to pull the engine fault codes.
You also get this message when nothing is wrong. Vauxhall are waiting for a programme update (should be this month September) to correct an over sensitive sensor. Same problem with my 2017. Message says fault, no fault found, Onstar statistics says all is ok. Not a problem there but get it checked at main agent. (Mine came on once a week!)

I know its many years now. Mine was a split hose ( intercooler/turbo hose ) it had cracked before, 9 month ago, why dont know at all, but message not there anymore, and its only a temporary fix ( gaffatape and strips ) i did, of course i will replace soon. Replacement cheap the hose, pretty expensive for a peace of rubber...
Wish i saw this vid b4 I sold my Insignia sri 1.6 turbo. It was a gorgeous car! Had it for 4 yrs, drove like a dream for the first 3 yrs. Then it gave me all sorts of problems. In the end had to get rid of it. Still thanks for ur video, made me nostalgic.

M-am dus sa fac o comanda de un set Beru GE126, dar nu aveau decat o bucata. Am comandat-o si joi imi vine.

I have a "faulty" glow plug in my 2013 2.0 biturbo insignia diesel, but I've been driving with the service message for over 2 years and it has not affected performance. I think it appeared because i cold started it too quickly in -25 degrees a few winters ago. The local repair shops don't dare to change it incase it snaps, they don't have the proper extractor for it either
My fault was MAF Sensor I replaced the sensor and deleted the fault but the service vehicle soon light is coming back i already deleted it 3 times it keep coming back but i fixed the problem i had

Is it possible to clear this error automatically? Yesterday it was giving an error about the adblue system. Adblue error is gone, but after running it for a few km, SVS message appears.
I am getting the p1050 error. Checked with the diagnostic device in Bosch Car Service, the error has been cleared, but it reappears. SVS warns only once every time I run it. I think it's a problem with Adblue level sensor. I'll have to change.@@GicaPhp

I think your car is trying to do a particle filter regeneration and you stop it. If before that, on idle, your instant consumption is 3 l/h instead of 0.6-0.8 that shoukd be the problem...
Coolant fan staying on is normal your car is probably after doing a regeneration of your dpf mine does it every so often if I do short runs my car is opel tourer 2016 220 bhp model, so I got it deleted and done a power remap from Avon tuning and car runs like a dream and fuel economy is amazing egr deleted also

Am cheltuit cât încă o masina si sunt disperat
Poate DPF-ul a ajuns la sfarsitul vietii? sau ceva il satureaza imediat cu soot (injectoare? Antigel? Ai inspectat cum arata dpf la intrare si iesire? este patat? Daca iti place masina, atunci cred ca varianta cea mai buna este un dpf off si gata.
@@GicaPhp Am fost cu ea la diagnoza, a iesit senzorul de presiune diferential, dar m-am ciupit repede si am zis sa ma uit daca nu e spart furtunul de la intercooler si chiar asta era, ma bucur ca mi-a trecut prin cap ca baietii deja voiau sa imi schimbe senzorul .Masina imi place foarte mult, probabil la un momentdat cand o sa am niste bani o sa-i fac dpf off. Dar de la ultima oara cand am dus-o in service, mergea impecabil.

My mechanic can not turn off this message as he does not have correct diagnostic machine he says I have to bring to main dealer. Main dealer is very expensive. Do you think this is true or maybe there is some other fault???
Any OBD scanner can read the engine codes. If none found there you will have to find a scanner that it will read all the other systems like abs, srs, etc
Hi! I have an error right after I start the engine on an Insignia 1.6 Turbo. The error is "Engine Power is Reduced". The car works and there isn't any warning light yet. Can anyone give me a hint where to look? The turbocharger - wouldn't be lack of power? The speed is not limited.
@@GicaPhp yes fault code came EDC 17C18/19P2282 - Air mass meter. Error Message. This was changed today. However 16miles later same pop up arrived on dash.
@@RiderReview perhaps, should have checked wiring, power and grounds before going for a new sensor. I had one a while ago with a blown fuse and another garage changed the maf and fault came back.
29% it means your due a service in the near future. But if you get the message on the screen it means you having a fault. Scan all your sistem using a diagnostic machine.

I have this message on my Vauxhall Astra GTC, I had an oil service and it came straight back on, garage scanned it and said it was the dpf blocked, got this to do a forced regen, it went through and the message was cleared, it came straight back on, now been told it is one of the glow plugs needs replacing, does this sound about right?
Any fault code in the Engine ECU will flag the "Service Vehicle Soon" message. Scan for fault codes and post them here so we can have a chat about them.

Hi Mick, in your case this error is telling that there is a problem in the position of the turbocharger vanes not reaching the desired position. This could be caused by quite a bit of problems. Most commons being sticking vanes in the turbocharger, vacuum lines split, solenoid faulty or if it an electronic turbocharger boost control can be the unit itself along with many others like wiring, corrosion, soot etc up to ECM.

I was at the light today in the wrong lane .... so i put it in drive and as soon as the green going to yellow on other side I accelerated fast and furious like ,so i cut in front( had a long f day) so as i was accelerating i recive this message service soon and my car wouldn’t accelerate when i press the pedal just very slowly and the rev went up with every pedal touch.... next thing i call my mechanic asking for advice (im crap at how everything works) he told me pull to over switch off then start on again..... i did that and the car goes super smooth , message appears again .... but now does not appear no more..... it just happened so not sure what that might be..... maybe trying to spin the wheels on a 2l auto diesel is too much🥺😁?
Just scan for stored errors and see what comes up. When you have accelerated hard, the engine moved and pulls the wiring, the hoses and may cause tensions on one of the connectors or an air leak. I recommend a quick scan to avoid any future problems.

@@GicaPhp i have got the thermostat changed alongside the cylinder temp sensor from the main Vauxhall but it he issue is still there. Now all a sudden they are saying to me To the the o2 oxygen sensor + 1 glow plug which is faulty. Oil pressure switch They told me to replace all 4 glow plugs. Cost is another £684 inc VAT total thieves!! P0135 o2 sensor heater circuit bank 1 sensor 1 component defective P06DE engine oil pressure low component remains closed P2A00 o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1 malfunction These are the new stupid errors! Can you help in anyway and main declares are keep on ripping me off. They are saying there is nothing wrong with turbo pipe or in take valves etc. -

I also have a message time to time, no codes found with my ODB-scantool. But my problem is faulty parking radar. Wireloom is broken. There is no generic codes for that but i take it to my Opel-dealer and with their scantool they figure it out. Just go to your Opel-dealer, they will scan whats wrong.
Oh have to mention.... i got my Opel J 2011 sports tourer 6 months ago. Really nice car so far. Faults that i have found were faulty boost sensor(faultcode P0236, sensor renewed), broken radar wireloom(no code, renewed near future), faulty valve cover(faultcode P0171, cover renewed) and faulty purge valve(no code, LTFT and STFT both 20-30% with obd-scantool livedata, valve renewed, valve was stucked open causing lean condition at idle). At this time im planning to put a PCV Fix kit from Cruzekits.com, already ordered.
For me: I replaced thermostat and cylinder temperature £650 including labour DIDNT SOLVE THE ISSUE!! now they are replacing the o2 oxygen sensor and faulty glow plugs along side oil pressure switch. Let’s hope it fixes the issue. If it doesn’t it’s definitely a cracked turbo pipe.

@@GicaPhp Glow Plugs was diesel....I was told it wasn't an expensive job but tricky and it tricky goes slightly wrong and thats not difficult to get wrong....it becomes expensive.
@@GicaPhp I have no fault code on engine. I have 8 fault codes for monitor, I can not see what it is. But when i remove engine fault then goes too service indication passing away, but its coming back after 1 day.
I have vehicle service soon fault on dash board when I start got it diagnosed Nd said no 2 and no 4 glow plugs were were showing to much voltage so changed battery and glow plugs and problem still there any help be great ?
Service vehicle soon is for engine faults only. If the abs or airbag system is faulty a service abs system warning will display instead.

This massage keeps coming up in my insignia than goes away after few days and comes back on after another few days and so on
Mine does exactly the same. Prob about a day later

In the car above, was the crankcase ventilation heater circuit (pins in the connector corroded).

Do a systems scan first and see what faults you have and we can talk about it.

Well I ignore this and my car broken down on a motorway. When I parked up 15mins later had a huge puddle of engine oil on the bottom of car. Got car recovered and now waiting next week for it's check up. Any ideas? We think the car is game over

Did you scan the fault codes? It is possible to have the thermostat faulty, but fault codes would help .

Is it possible to clear this error automatically? Yesterday it was giving an error about the adblue system. Adblue error is gone, but after running it for a few km, SVS message appears.

I am getting the p1050 error. Checked with the diagnostic device in Bosch Car Service, the error has been cleared, but it reappears. SVS warns only once every time I run it. I think it's a problem with Adblue level sensor. I'll have to change.@@GicaPhp

You could have a faulty temperature sensor, or bad head gasket, you need to scan witha diagnostic machine to be sure. Guessing is not good!

I think your car is trying to do a particle filter regeneration and you stop it. If before that, on idle, your instant consumption is 3 l/h instead of 0.6-0.8 that shoukd be the problem...
Coolant fan staying on is normal your car is probably after doing a regeneration of your dpf mine does it every so often if I do short runs my car is opel tourer 2016 220 bhp model, so I got it deleted and done a power remap from Avon tuning and car runs like a dream and fuel economy is amazing egr deleted also
Salut, am un opel insignia 2.0 din 2008, o am de 3 ani si am cam avut o gramada de probleme cu DPF, acum doua săptămâni am scos o din service dupa ce am reconditionat turbina si am curatat si DPF, astazi mi-a picat din nou, regenerări făcute la timp, mers supraturat, maine o sa ma duc dar bănuiesc ca iar e de la dpf, recomanzi anularea? Am cheltuit cât încă o masina si sunt disperat
Poate DPF-ul a ajuns la sfarsitul vietii? sau ceva il satureaza imediat cu soot (injectoare? Antigel? Ai inspectat cum arata dpf la intrare si iesire? este patat? Daca iti place masina, atunci cred ca varianta cea mai buna este un dpf off si gata.
@@GicaPhp Am fost cu ea la diagnoza, a iesit senzorul de presiune diferential, dar m-am ciupit repede si am zis sa ma uit daca nu e spart furtunul de la intercooler si chiar asta era, ma bucur ca mi-a trecut prin cap ca baietii deja voiau sa imi schimbe senzorul .Masina imi place foarte mult, probabil la un momentdat cand o sa am niste bani o sa-i fac dpf off. Dar de la ultima oara cand am dus-o in service, mergea impecabil.
Pai daca ai eroare pe senzorul de presiune diferentiala, inainte sa il schimbi il poti proba, ceea ce ai facut si ai gasit o alta cauza. Bravo

My mechanic can not turn off this message as he does not have correct diagnostic machine he says I have to bring to main dealer. Main dealer is very expensive. Any OBD scanner can read the engine codes. If none found there you will have to find a scanner that it will read all the other systems like abs, srs, etc
Hi! I have an error right after I start the engine on an Insignia 1.6 Turbo. The error is "Engine Power is Reduced". The car works and there isn't any warning light yet. Can anyone give me a hint where to look? The turbocharger - wouldn't be lack of power? The speed is not limited.
You need to scan for any DTC on all systems, as it may be a pending fault

@@GicaPhp yes fault code came EDC 17C18/19P2282 - Air mass meter. Error Message. This was changed today. However 16miles later same pop up arrived on dash.
@@RiderReview perhaps, should have checked wiring, power and grounds before going for a new sensor. I had one a while ago with a blown fuse and another garage changed the maf and fault came back.

29% it means your due a service in the near future. But if you get the message on the screen it means you having a fault. Scan all your sistem using a diagnostic machine.

Eroarea poate fi stearsa, insa va reaparea daca nu este eliminata cauza. Scaneaza erorile si zi-mi ce erori ai, apoi sa gasim cauza si sa o remediem.
I have this message on my Vauxhall Astra GTC, I had an oil service and it came straight back on, garage scanned it and said it was the dpf blocked, got this to do a forced regen, it went through and the message was cleared, it came straight back on, now been told it is one of the glow plugs needs replacing, does this sound about right?
Any fault code in the Engine ECU will flag the "Service Vehicle Soon" message.
Scan for fault codes and post them here so we can have a chat about them.

Ask them to scan all the systems (abs, srs, etc), not just Engine.

This message means that you have broken one or more glow plugs, thats all. You need to replase broken glow plug.

Hi Mick, in your case this error is telling that there is a problem in the position of the turbocharger vanes not reaching the desired position. This could be caused by quite a bit of problems. Most commons being sticking vanes in the turbocharger, vacuum lines split, solenoid faulty or if it an electronic turbocharger boost control can be the unit itself along with many others like wiring, corrosion, soot etc up to ECM.
You can have the same problem with a petrol engine

Verifica daca geometria variabila se misca foare usor (tija deconctata) fara nici un fel de impediment. In cazurile intalnite de mine vinovatii au fost doar geometria variabila sticking si actuatorul pentru geometria variabila.

I was at the light today in the wrong lane .... so i put it in drive and as soon as the green going to yellow on other side I accelerated fast and furious like ,so i cut in front( had a long f day) so as i was accelerating i recive this message service soon and my car wouldn’t accelerate when i press the pedal just very slowly and the rev went up with every pedal touch.... next thing i call my mechanic asking for advice (im crap at how everything works) he told me pull to over switch off then start on again..... i did that and the car goes super smooth , message appears again .... but now does not appear no more..... it just happened so not sure what that might be..... maybe trying to spin the wheels on a 2l auto diesel is too much🥺😁?
Just scan for stored errors and see what comes up. When you have accelerated hard, the engine moved and pulls the wiring, the hoses and may cause tensions on one of the connectors or an air leak. I recommend a quick scan to avoid any future problems.

And £200 for a thermostat and a sensor! And a £120 diagnostics charge. A whopping £700+ bill and no guarantee.

@@GicaPhp i have got the thermostat changed alongside the cylinder temp sensor from the main Vauxhall but it he issue is still there.
Now all a sudden they are saying to me
To the the o2 oxygen sensor + 1 glow plug which is faulty. Oil pressure switch They told me to replace all 4 glow plugs.
Cost is another £684 inc VAT total thieves!!
P0135 o2 sensor heater circuit bank 1 sensor 1 component defective
P06DE engine oil pressure low component remains closed
P2A00 o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1 malfunction
These are the new stupid errors! Can you help in anyway and main declares are keep on ripping me off. They are saying there is nothing wrong with turbo pipe or in take valves etc.

I also have a message time to time, no codes found with my ODB-scantool. But my problem is faulty parking radar. Wireloom is broken. There is no generic codes for that but i take it to my Opel-dealer and with their scantool they figure it out. Just go to your Opel-dealer, they will scan whats wrong.
Oh have to mention.... i got my Opel J 2011 sports tourer 6 months ago. Really nice car so far. Faults that i have found were faulty boost sensor(faultcode P0236, sensor renewed), broken radar wireloom(no code, renewed near future), faulty valve cover(faultcode P0171, cover renewed) and faulty purge valve(no code, LTFT and STFT both 20-30% with obd-scantool livedata, valve renewed, valve was stucked open causing lean condition at idle). At this time im planning to put a PCV Fix kit from Cruzekits.com, already ordered.
For me:
I replaced thermostat and cylinder temperature £650 including labour
DIDNT SOLVE THE ISSUE!!
now they are replacing the o2 oxygen sensor and faulty glow plugs along side oil pressure switch.
Let’s hope it fixes the issue. If it doesn’t it’s definitely a cracked turbo pipe.

@@GicaPhp Glow Plugs was diesel....I was told it wasn't an expensive job but tricky and it tricky goes slightly wrong and thats not difficult to get wrong....it becomes expensive.

I have no fault code on engine.
I have 8 fault codes for monitor, I can not see what it is. But when i remove engine fault then goes too service indication passing away, but its coming back after 1 day.
