I’m an American guy in my 50’s, and I like to eat clean, somewhat low carb for the most part. So plenty of protein and vegetables. I love pizza and burgers, but won’t eat them. Anyway, here is the 5 I mostly eat at:
    1) Robin Hood. 2)The Sportsman, Soi 13. 3) Salad Factory 4) Tops Food Hall Deli where you can sit at the counter 5) Beef Eater Steak House.

This is the beauty of the Pattaya area, the choice of restaurants is amazing. From budget to top end and most nationalities catered for. Even the surrounding areas (darkside, Jomtien etc) have great choices

I agree 100% with good variety of restaurants in Pattaya area, but beer selection sucks big time. No good selection of craft beer bars, micro-brewery’s (except Hops), etc. just awful. I am traveling in DaNang and now Saigon. What a great craft beer micro-brewery and craft beer scene. Very popular. Getting my good beer fix here before I go back to Pattaya next month.

In terms of foreign food, here's a run down of some of my favourite places... so far.
    Breakfast - Nickys
    Mexican - Taco Taco
    Indian - Alibaba
    Japanese - Ronin
Steak - toss up between Beefeater and Patricks
    Kebab - Istanbul :)
There's so much to choose from though, Patts is great for food in general.

There can’t be anywhere in thailand that has such a great choice of restaurants and mostly fantastic value, you are spoilt for choice

To find a great place for breakfast is absolutely Life Saving thanks. Most Thais have no idea what western breakfast is. Normally the little frankfurter type sausages and insipid reconstituted pressed ham are abominably appalling. Some of the traditional handmade Thai sausages are amazingly delicious if you can find them.
Tell viewers never to buy steak from a Thai. It's cheap because it's Buffalo that died of old age. Need a farung restaurant for this and if it comes from Australia it won't be cheap but they know steak.😅
Saving this video for my next visit thanks mate

Yes I get it, we’re in Thailand but Thais really are pretty clueless on basic Western food. Recently made the mistake of going to a place doing a Mexican buffet, not sure what they had been thinking but for cripes sake, steal some recipes or talk to someone who knows this cuisine don’t try to do something that you don’t know how to make.

One of the things that really blew me away about Pattaya, was the sheer variety of and high quality of the food choices I had there. Best Pizza I ever had was at Pizza Italy near Soi Boomerang. Some Amazing Breakfasts at places like The Hideaway. Robin's Nest was good as was Witherspoon's. Chunky Monkey (I understand is closed) was decent and the list is so long I could spend hours listing places. Best Value for me was the Breakfast at The Hideaway, which you passed at the 2:30 mark in the video. Amazing amount of food for a very low price, plus the staff and owner were really excellent!
    Love your videos. Great work.

Trev, David Strachan interviewed the lady owner in Kungs a month or 2 back. Basically they moved across the road where they are now to a bigger premises but have kept the old place which they intend to open as a late night fast food/takeaway outlet when things are "back to normal".

Someone might be able to confirm this, but I heard The Nest is not the same as Robin’s Nest. It’s the same building, but they have a new owner and new chef. I think the old owner is now the manager of the new Witherspoons (at the old Rcon) and the old chef is there too. So it might be worth checking out the new Nest to see if the food’s just as good as the old place. I remember their all day breakfast were great, as well as their Sunday roast and chilli con carne. I even had a few deliveries from there to the condo I was staying at, including some Thai food for my guest.
The Beer Garden is another good place, of course. A great way to start the evening if you’re planning to party down Walking Street, and sitting over the water as the sun sets makes it that much better.
The other place I liked has unfortunately closed, and that’s Retox (both of them). Did anyone try the breakfast challenge at the Retox that was on Soi Lengkee?

I live on Thai street food when in Pattaya but when getting cravings for European food about once a month or so, I always went to THE BERLINER on Soi 13 with huge portions of German food, mainly pork. Loved their EISBEIN WITH SAUERKRAUT.
A friend also told me about the famous Sunday Brunch at THE MANTRA RESTAURANT, but I’m not the open buffet formal restaurant dress code guy and never went there but I was also told that the chef there had Michelin-stars, so must be good.

For Mexican food I always liked going to the Blue Parrot located on soi 13-3 near the penthouse hotel just off of Beach Road. The Blue Parrot has been around since the 80's. I first went there in the mid-90's. Served really good Mexican food one of the only places in Pattaya that did. The original owners sold it quite a few years ago and it has changed hands at least another time. It's now called Sue's Place. I haven't been in for a number of years so don't know what it is like now.

And my favourite the big piping hot bowell of beef stew with a big bowell of mash. Great prices to. The Thai guy who ran it had worked in big hotels in London . Haven't been to Thailand for ages but seen it on your videos, great place. Ps they were all around 80 to 100 b. I should think that they haven't gone much up in price. Great value. I don't usually remember the names of the restaurants I go to, so I can't really recommend very many. If you like your steaks, the Beefeater is my favourite. Hey Trev, just came back from a 30 day holiday in Pattaya (as you know) and the best place I have eaten is The Sky Gallery in Pratamnak. This is a different category restaurant. The food is excellent, but it's not cheap. For two good steaks for two persons you will need B2000 in your wallet. And if you want a bottle of wine with it, you'll need another B2000. The view is awesome. If you really want to impress your Miss with a romantic dinner, The Sky Gallery is the place to be.

thankyou so much for doing this video when.. I first came to Pattaya, I had the hardest time finding food western food other than Mc Donald's which gets old fast. Beef is a real issue in Thailand because many Thais dont eat it or dont know how to cook it. I can eat some Thai food but most of it smells like garbage to me so I can't do it great work again thanks

At the Second Rd end of Soi New Plaza there is a great restaurant it has green and orange decor the food is magnificent and cheap, I had the best green curry there.

Yes Trev is now the Pulsinella Risto-Pub but still does roast dinners. They're on Grab and I had a roast beef at 219thb plus 10thb delivery last Sunday (about 100thb cheaper than competitors). A large portion of very good quality beef plus yorkshire, mash and roast potato, 4 veg and gravy. For the money the best value I've had since living here 2 years and will now be my go to place for a roast delivery.

    Grottino Pizzeria and Osteria ( หมู่ที่ 5 179/137 Naklua 33 Alley )
Could well be one of the best Pizzeria's i've been to, i ended up going there several times during my stay in Pattaya.
The food was affordable, the pizza's were great, the owners quite personable and attentive (along with their pretty good wait staff).
After you pay your bill, the owner will often present you with a shot of limoncello.
Fair warning though, if your walking back towards Terminal 21 on Pattaya-Nakulua you WILL come across some rancid smelling open sewers. hold your breath or risk losing that great dinner you just ate.

Im not sure if this is considered a 'sunday roast', but the Lek hotel has a very decent buffet. From what i remember, it was 150 baht in 2019. There is a range of authentic thai, westernized thai and more. If you stuff yourself here once a day and eat another 60 baht street food meal you should be set for food with a budget of 220 baht per day.

Another great informative video Trev. Seeing you eat that English breakfast reminded me of watching Kev in Thailand doing the same. He always said before he ate a meal, “Now, no drooling” 😀 he is sadly missed. I am just about to watch part 2, I am hoping you will suggest a good fish and chip place. Whenever we travel we generally look for a good place to eat fish and chips. In that regard, if anyone is going to Singapore I would suggest Smith’s , a bit expensive, but very nice. 😀
