I saw him at a convention once in Glasgow. He was talking about some of the plays he performed. To demonstrate, he turned around when he turned back he was completely different, the way he stood, his mannerisms, the way he held his head, It was amazing to watch.

@@ptonpc I saw Shimmerman twice, the second time was many years later, but the first was in 1999 and he was fantastic with the mannerisms and everything you just said. He actually got special permission to present to us (a small Oklahoma con) by satellite or some other means the penultimate and the finale of DS9 (I think it was possibly 2-3 weeks or so before they would air). Suffice it to say, it was amazing watching the finale of a series for about 3 hours with other fans just as hardcore as I was at the time. It was very emotional as well. There were definitely tears in the room. And I know I definitely got a chill with the fire caves scene as well as when everybody was leaving the station and thinking back on the memories the crew shared.

@@ptonpc it's been 20 years and when I think about the ending of DS9, that usually always comes to mind. And yes it was quite extraordinary. And because it was a smaller more intimate con, at one point I even sat on stage with Armin. It must have been after one of his talks during the convention (thundercon 8) or actually before the presentation of those episodes at the event Saturday night. There was very few people sitting around in the chairs so now that I'm thinking about it, it would have been after official end of the Con for the day when they were tweaking things as far as the equipment stuff before the movie presentation when people were still trickling in for the scheduled night event. He was talking to a few people around the stage including me. A correction earlier, I believe it was less than 2 weeks, definitely less than 3. I might be mistaken a little bit but I believe it was just a handful of days before the penultimate episode was supposed to Air and like a little more than a week or so from the finale.

Its amazing how they bring up so many past references of past episode events and characters even another series altogether with Voyager and yet I remember them vividly. I also like the fact they put new events within the 25 year timeskip that were real game changers to the all the characters involved in this series dealing with loss. Garak losing Zael, Bashir losing Ezri and Ken DAX, Jake and Quark losing Nog. All of that setup a deeper meaning.

That was brilliant, thank you ever so much to Alexander Siddig, Andrew Robinson, Cirroc Lofton, Armin Shimerman, Shana Collier, Matthew Campbell, Craig Alan, Mynda Bullock and anyone else involved in it's production! As a sometime physics tutor, teacher and occasional physics advisor to writers, I'd like to pre-empt anyone pedantically saying 'You can't have a geostationary orbit over a planet's pole'. You can, if the magnetic pole and the axis of rotation don't line up - if Cardassia is like the planet Neptune and it's north and south magnetic poles actually sit near (or on) it's spin-equator then you can definitely have a space station in geostationary orbit over the north, and a shuttle in geostationary orbit over the south on the other side of the planet. So there - counter pedantry deployed.

So wonderful to see Garak's character again. He stole every episode he was in. He is my favorite character in all the series. Thank you all. I introducing my hubs to DS9 during lock down. He has had his interest piqued by Garak as well.

This is our time's version of the 1940s Superman radio show - I love this. It's about story and performances and not just ships and pew pews. I'm just amazed that 20yrs has pasted and DS9er Players are doing their own show and it's fan-fracking-tastic. I also like tying in the other franchises too. This is something special.

Thank you so much to everyone involved in putting this together. The joy on the part of the actors is palpable, and the care at which past events from other series were worked into the story is just another thing that makes this series so special. DS9 always felt the most 'real' of the Trek series to me and this was seamless without feeling pandering. If only Rene' were still around to come growling in out of nowhere "..QuarrK!" Much love to you all and perhaps the Nagus might grace us with his presence in the future?

oh wow... So all of this is amazing, if you close your eyes and listen it feel exactlly like Ds9, all of the actors are doing an amazing job reviving their characters. But when Quark showed up, I straight up got shivers down my spine. It's so good, i don't even need to close my eyes, I can not see anything else but Quark. And considering how much prostetics he wore for the role, that is saying something!
