um as a disabled person who's still isolating and masking and getting angrier and angrier at this mass-disabling event that causes neurological disease but that everyone thinks is "over," can i just say how incredibly cathartic it is to be watching julian responding with proper shock and urgency to the idea of covering up a neurological pandemic so as not to show weakness 🫠

Chief, Martok, Odo, Worf, Dukat, Kai Winn, Nog, Rom, Vorta/ liquidator Brunt, Cassidy, Zek, Morn, Joseph Sisko, adult/old man Jake, Founder, Ezri, Mr Eddington, Iggy-Vorta, cousin Gaylor, Lee Nalis, Kai Opako & the rest. For a 30 year old show. It is not dated at all. If they make it HD, wow. Compare to TNG, the characters had hardly any arc (except Data). From the 1st series, to the last, they hardly changed. DS9 Kira with PTSD, angry & hating Cardassians to a happier, more open-minded & having a very close bond with 2 Cardassians. O'Brien & Bashir had a strained relationship, then went on to be best friends. Dax being intimidated by Curzon, then confronting him, going from a thoughtful, tentative person to a fun loving, crew favourite. Odo was a complete introvert. Awkward & shy. Then opened up & fell in love with Kira, completely different. Jake & Nog having a great, believable friendship. Jake, becoming a writer, Nog joining Star Fleet. Quark, only caring about profit. Then putting his life on the line for a Klingon he hardly knew. The only character I have ever seen get an apology from Worf in public. His & Odo's relationship was so entertaining. Worf in TNG was good, but when he joined DS9 we got Klingon episodes. We got to see Klingon Worf. Very interesting. Captain Sisko, going from a bitter (from grieving), excellent Captain & father, but just doing his job. Then falling in love with DS9 and Bajor. He had visions/visits with the worm-hole aliens/prophets. They singled him out, then becoming a religious Emissary to the Bajorans. The complexity of not wanting it, but respecting the faith of others. When he was around Jake or his Dad, he changed, you could feel the love. Also when he was with Dax, a different side came out. At the end when it was all out war, he was ruthless., Yet altruistic. An episode when he tried to save some Jem Hadar cos they were being duped by their Vorta. An episode where he was chasing Mr Eddington, he was ruthless to the point where I was disappointed with him. But Eddington duped him & Star Fleet. Sisko had range, happy, sad, love, hate, anger, confusion, vulnerable etc. Picard was 1 dimensional compared to Sisko. Picard held back. He was commanding, clever, brave, but these aren't feelings. He was not a people person. He was superior, kept a distance from the crew. They were on a science vessel. He acts like a general in the British army. They are hundreds of years in the future, he just looks miserable, irritated & shouts. The reason I am saying this is, a lot of Star Trek fans, won't watch DS9. They are scared to, cos they know it is better than TNG,.

Alexander, Nana, Terry, Armin, Andrew & Cirroc. If I had to use 1 word to sum up your performances - SLALOM. You got on those skis, hit the slope, never touched a flag & when you got to the bottom, Avery was there, proud as punch. I am going to make an assumption. YOU ALL KNOW DS9 IS THE BEST STAR TREK. Why is it timeless, a transmogrification, a masterpiece Trek? My theory- Ira, Robert & other writers put their heart & soul into it. All the actors did the same. Everyone worked so hard, put love & dedication & creativity into it. Picard was written 1 dimensional compared to Sisko. Arrogant, a snob, egotistical, aloof & superior. More like an army general. Beyond criticism. In the 1st episode when Sisko explained about his wife's death, Picard just dismissed him. Ok, Picard was not in control, but he still killed alot of Starfleet. Couldn't he even express regret? No, he just ignored him & took offence cos Sisko dared to confront him. He didn't like children, had no humour, a stereotypical upper-class British officer, stiff upper lip. Sisko was a super-dad, a friend to his crew. Tough, yet gentle when needed. Showing feelings to a point. You are all legends, thank you for your legacy of the best Star Trek.

I'm overjoyed watching this. Thank you so much. Two of my favorite characters in my favorite Trek story. Realizing as I write that having the Elim Garak and Bashir open a story would be one of the best ways to do it as, it been said many times, listening to each of these two actors speak is an experience in itself that people would pay to have. Although there are/were so many brilliant characters and actors in DS9 that choosing this pair to open from any other pairings would be splitting hairs. I wish this companion series was found/seen more by fans --- it was never shown by any algorithm and I discovered it by chance. Thank you so much for continuing the stories of these characters.

My Dad’s experience was crazy. Dad picked me up to go to lunch and when I saw the colour of his skin I insisted we go to the doctor. Then we went for blood work. A couple of days later the doctor called with the results and had already sent a referral to an oncologist. The oncologist’s receptionist filed Dad’s referral and blood work away. When we didn’t even hear about an appointment after three more days my sister called the oncologist and discovered the doctor never saw the file due to the receptionist’s “error.” Too many men don’t advocate for their health care needs due to the social pressures on men to be self reliant. Dad was an excellent model of this. So my sister and I kept apprised of everything. Dad was diagnosed late stage three but had a tremendous surgeon and great care during chemo. We got a bit over two years after his diagnosis. I’m so glad Armin is a part of the PanCan project.

I am so late to DS9 - it's taken me over 30ish years to watch the show. TNG and Voyager have been my faves, never gave DS9 much thought, until 2 weeks ago, when I deceided to give it a shot - haven't looked back. Currently on my first rewatch and have gone to love it. I now understand the draw the show had/has - the characters, the stories. In the past I did catch small bits of the show but wasn't completely drawn to it, although Bashir ;-) did had my attention. He is now my fav - his passion for his work and his ackwardness, him stricking out with the women. Felt sorry that he never had a GF untill the end. Found your YT last night and is now watching as many episodes as possible. Keep up the good work..
