Hafa Adai everyone, depending on the steamer size and amount of tamales, you steam an average steam pot of Tamales Gisu for 30 minutes. It takes 35-40 minutes in my extra large steamer that holds 20 medium sized tamales. Of note, experiment with your steamer to get the perfect consistency. The tamale should be firm that it holds its shape and texture but not too mushy. Hope this helps. Adios everyone!
The U.S. Food Code (2005), which is the basis for the standards for Food Safety , states that food employees shall wear hair restraints -- such as hats, hair coverings or nets, beard restraints, and clothing that covers body hair -- that are worn to effectively keep their hair from contacting exposed food.
