Im quite excited, I found an fx16 GTS on marketplace with near mint interior. Its a little more than id like to spend at 6k but with how rare the car is, and how nice the interior is, I'm willing to spend the money on it once I finish saving. Im so pumped to have a chance at owning one.
Just ordered front and rear bars for my ‘87 FX16 GT-S. Thanks for doing the prototyping legwork, and for carrying the torch for us AE82 enthusiasts! Keep up the great content.
I like the Whiteline FSB on my 00 GTS but on full stiff it's a bit too much understeer prone, on the soft setting though it's well balanced with the coilover settings and Eibach RSB. Looks like your front bar is single position so no worries about that, you just get what you get. Would be handy if they made the front 2 or 3 position adjustable to match the rear bar but I guess that's not possible with that style of front link or the room available.
Australian jzs147 aristo community got Selby to make swaybars back before they were bought out, no idea wat happened to them (the blueprints) since. I got a set of front and rears, super rare!
Are the original sway bars and Whiteline's the same diameter? Just wondering if the improvement comes from the sway bars, or the new stiffer bushings...
I’ve been really liking keeping it original but with some minor improvements. It works so well as a daily that you can enjoy on backroads in comfort. On the other hand, an engine swap or turbo would be amazing 🤩.
8:07 unmistakable talking heads, you have great taste in cars and music
Love your videos mate, they are informative and a great source of inspiration, keep up the great work.
Merry Christmas from the Kiwi's in New Zealand!

I'd be Satan because of how hard I'm playing devil's advocate, buy it for the holidays lmao
if you have the funds and have somewhere to store it who cares its not like youre going to find another one
I used to have 89 ae92 gts with with the rare trd front and rear sway bars. It made the handling like night and day no adjustments needed.
Fantastic video 👍🏽 always love seeing your Corolla. Thank you for sharing 👍🏽

Man 2 door AE82s just look so damn cool, we only ever had 4 doors and Seca's here in Aus.
You need to get this thing on track with the new sway bars! It could probably handle some seriously big tires now too, love the build!
Thanks Alex! =)

Just a heads up, Whitine is owned by Nolathane. Super pro is their direct competitor.

I had Selby antisway bars on my AE82 sedan 20+ years ago, they were a good thing.
@@Legotruck82come full circle in this video then hey!

All aftermarket bars have a larger diameter. Poly bushings just reduce rubbers compliance.
What's your future plan for this fxgt?

LSD when?
When I’m in a good mental space and surrounded by people that can make sure I don’t tear my eyes out while tripping b@lls. That’s when I’ll try LSD.
