Had the same type of problem with a rad city 4 . The bike shop on 103-104st & 2nd Ave has the cables long enough but if you need the black part - the housing for the cable to slide through yeah shit out of luck.👍
that error 30 is terrible the problem was a bent pin in one of the connections check the pins real good i mean real good maybe you will see one of them folded down
I had to change the wiring harness. First I did the troubleshooting routine to narrow down the problem. It was either the wiring harness and or the motor controler. I tried the cheapest part first. There’s a chip where the wires converge. It goes. I got the part from rad for $45 tax and delivery included. It’s been around a month and it’s working for now. I have no idea how you guys keep even a cheap electric bike from being stolen in the city. Big chains and a U lock. What a pain
this guy that worked on that bike is a hack he cut the plug off to put it back on lol he should hvae just put a t 90 on it and would have only been one plus changed lol
I HAVE A RAD ROVER BUT I WEIGHT 220 POUNDS AND COULD NOT GO UP SOME MONTAIN HILLS. CALLED RAD ROVER TO SEE IF I COULD HAVE A 1OOO WHAT MOTOR ? NO . ON UTUBE FOUND A POWER UPGRADE BY CHANGING SCREEN AND PUT IN A 30 AMPTHING INSTEAd of a 12 amp ang got to boost my power up to 1500 whattsbut so i would not damage anything brought the power down to 1200 whatts and let me tell you that going up hill my wife cant follow me with her rad city3 and she weighs 120 pounds so if you want to get more power check radrover upgrade videos on utube

Very disappointing. I wanted to buy a used 6 with 500 miles. All I read is controller and wiring problem, this is not the case with fat tire folders. No problems. They lost me as a customer. One guy waiting 15 months for parts. Totally unacceptable.
Yeah the company is doing really bad they opened a store in New York and about to close down they selling the 6 for $1199 or $999 and they still can't get rid of them Terribke they lost me as a customer too

Would 52 volt battery would work on 48volt rover ?
Yeah 48 and 52v is considered the same class yes it will work in fact it will work better no lag at all none bike feels alive
It's the controller you need to worry about with the battery voltage, all Rad controllers are good up to 60 volts, so do not try a 72 volt battery.

Get a fast charger it should cut your charging time in half if it takes 8 hours to charge a quick charger will take 4

I gotta fix the motor $75 and the Controller $80 but the bike is super fast and will be like new
