They sell a pry tool for lifting the plastic tabs out without breaking them~but it is a tough job either way. Some tabs require lifting the center of the tab first then you can pry out. Thanks for making the video. Amazing how many Highlanders are banging in on the drivers side like that. Cant believe how little rust you have under that one. I live in Massachusetts ~lots of salt on the roads in the winter
Thank you for the tutorial. I'm a newbie. I'll be using this to remove my bumper and repairing a dent. The most difficult part was removing the bumper but I was able to loosen it by wiggle the side bumper outward and then down. Thank you
Thank you very much for your video! It really helped me to easily replace the rear bumper on the Toyota Highlander Hybrid 2006. I also did not have a clip at 2:23. Another suggestion for those who do this is to drill small holes for hex screws before installing the bumper, otherwise it will be difficult to do because the wheels are too close.
Hey, thanks so much for very informative video! I bought a new one prepainted to match from Ebay for $172, will use your video tips to put this on a friend's Highlander, and saved him $650! Thanks Again.
Also PrePainted - www.ebaystores.com/mbiauto?X-EBAY-API-R1-V3=R1V3 Note: type in "toyota highlander rear bumper 2006" or whatever year in the search bar and many options pop up
I know this design is sturdier than the way Honda just uses a bunch of the plastic clips, but damn these cars are annoying to work on. I'm trying to do this right now to pop a dent out

That Highlander is a CA vehicle, so no salt here.

That is a good tip. It will definitely be a lot easier to drill before the install.
O
Great video

Popping out the bumper is free! You can't beat that!
