VERY helpful video! I ordered an Eline pipe guard for my 2022 KTM 300 XCW from Slavens and almost returned it. At first it didn't seem to "want" to fit at all. I didn't know I could pound my Eline guard into submission until watching this video. It fits very nice and tight.
Wandering your thoughts about the carbon guards not absorbing any impact energy and actually causing the pipe to distort and not seal at the cylinder or even damaging the cylinder flange.
Good trick BUT why didn't you run tail through the clamp far enough that you were bending the solid metal portion of the band on the second bend --not the slotted portion? That's extremely weak where you bent it now.
Hello: The carbon fiber guard is lightweight and requires very little strength to keep it attached and the clamps, even in the slotted portion, are very strong.
I put a 2 inch hole clear thru my new E line pipe guard on the first day of riding. looks like fiberglass with one layer of carbon on the outside. Very dissapointed. P3 said thiers is full carbon so i have orderd one . We will see how it holds up . Vet trail rider..
The pipe in the video is a Fatty but we also have carbon guards for the Gnarly and stock pipes. slavensracing.com/shop/carbon-pipe-guards-eline-ktmhusaberg/

Sorry, I’m not going down that rabbit hole.

When is the beta steering stop video coming?
Thanks for the reminder. I forgot to make that vid before I sold the bike. I'll try to borrow a bike and make it.
Nice and clean 👌
Thanks a lot
Does this fit the FMF gnarly?
If you have an FMF Gnarly, buy the pipe guard for that pipe. You will have an option.

Why does it matter if the clamp shows in a “crude” way as you said in the vid? Why break a process if it works. It’s a dirt bike, not a golf cart
Hello: If you are ok with crude, that's fine with me. I prefer my bikes to more refined. To each their own.
Nice job
Thanks!
If guys are really calling you on how to put on a pipe guard they might wanna try golf instead....
I'll have to plead the 5th.
Yes the old fashioned way is common sense, but this is a pretty slick way. Thanks Jeff... And GOLF is awesome too lol
