Brilliant idea, just one thought though, put another frame that is hinged so that it can over hang the rear end of the loaded logs, fit a hand winch with pulleys up one side to the center with a pulley for your winch cable you can then lift the logs up to the height of the load and onto the loaded logs in the same manner.
I'm really liking your log loader trailer! I get some 'gimme' wood from time to time and that rig would be the bomb to get it home. Good video fer sure!
If you added a smaller arch at the end, and a second light weight winch to pull it up, you could lift those logs right off the ground and set them on top of the pile with minimal human effort.
They are definitely harder to come by. And when they are around, they are generally pretty trashed. It’s just under 10’ tall, 5.5’ wide. And 12’ over all length. All made from 3.5” .025 wall tubing.
Well I don't know what makes your trailer " Best in the world " bit I think I have to disagree, I see you doing a fair bit of labour , it's still a great trailer though.
I see some negative comments, but I also just saw you load seven large logs, ALONE.

Nice. So your upright is stationary then. Sweet setup.
Pretty sweet design! Did you make this? Easy to load, but how do you UNload it???
When you try and stand the logs with the winch get a wheel chalk and pit it under the stump as you stand it up...

Thanks! It’s proving itself very valuable.
That is purdy slick.

That worked quite well....
That will make a old man out of you quickly, if you keep lifting and tugging that way. good video.
It's good exercise
Or it will make you strong. Just a different way of looking at it. 💪🏾
It will keep him young, or irreparably broken. LIFT WITH YOUR LEGS. 👍
Nicely done. So where do the logs go from there? Do you have a sawmill?
dave....all you'd have to do is drop those off at any of the multitude of guys that sell firewood.
GD ingenious sir!
I have been looking for a trailer like your trailer. It seems very hard to find one. Thinking about just fabricating a trailer.
What are the measurements of the trailer just to give me an idea. Thanks

Thanks.
Is that a single or double axle trailer?
Neither kinda. It has two spindles mounted directly to the frame, no suspension.
Does that fit thru the MacDonald's drive thru?
Depends on your overhead clearance.
Good point. I'll stop by McDonald's, for measurements, before building mine.
Great load!
Use two straps when picking small logs
Try using double slings to lift the whole log at once
Caught a fish!
Good viedeo
So did you build this or buy it? The more I watched this it is an accident looking for a place to happen
Sounds like Donald Duck got trapped between those logs... may want to check that !
Check Matthew Cremona log trailer .
Yours is good , but getting those logs on top is a bear .
Not quite but ok for smaller stuff
BACK SURGERY BEFORE THE AGE OF 40
Wow , the best. not really but pretty cool.

Thanks for watching!
