You ought to weld a small drop leg jack to the back of the trailer so you don't have to carry that big floor jack around to the back every time. Or like I did with my dump trailer, I cut a couple 4x4s to the perfect length and put a handle on each one to just place under the back of the trailer to support it while loading my skid steer.
It is belt driven. There is a guy on TH-cam under the title Canadian woodworker that has his Saw hooked up to an electric motor if you have power nearby.
Good morning Nick how are ya? You have a great set up! I am amazed at your trailer backing skills!!! I completely suck at backing a trailer. I live over the hill from ya in pioneer, I have a hd36v2 trailer mill. There are so many trees over here. The Caldor fire and the beetle make lot of logs. I hope to be cutting about 100 feet of redwood in a month or 2 for a tree guy. Being a retired guy with a sawmill keeps me busy. I hope to get my shop fixed up like yours. I love making beautiful wood furniture. Any way thanks for sharing, hope to meet ya some time soon. I’ve learned a bunch from ya! Have a great day.
Thank you so much for the positive comments! I started backing trailers for my dad when I was 14, I don’t know why but I can always get it straight! I am so glad you enjoy milling as much as I do. if you have the bug for it, it is so much fun. I would love to come over and check out your operation when I am in your neighborhood!!
I like the idea of using a floor jack instead jacks mounted on the trailer. I'd get an aluminum one so it's light.
Nice system!
Nice job dude!
Well done I put the wiring in to plug into the back of the truck thank you
awesome -- great job on all fronts -- right to the point 7 practical! Thanks
Glad it was helpful!

I'm impressed by what you are doing.
Thank you!!
Is your arch 2”x2” square tubing?
In sweden we dont have trailers like that, I wish we had, it's my full time job, to work with trees.
How is the power transferred from gas engine to blade? Is it possible to bypass the engine and plug it in to line voltage?

Great video and description as always Nick! What size truck are you using, 1/2 or 3/4 ton? Keep up the great work man!
Thank you Jeremy! I have a 2005 3/4 Chevy Duramax diesel. Appreciate the comment 😁
I just want to give you some advice put a battery near your winch and hook your jumper cables to the battery are you going to melt your battery cables

The small wood bandsaw is a Laguna 1412.
