Thank you Ash for the video. A lot of good choises. I have to look them up when I see them. Haven't seen most of them around here.
I've been occupied with a lot of things the last month. Mom sadly passed, so a lot to do around that. Dad isn't well and my girlfriend broke her leg a few days ago.
Hoping it gets a little less buisy soon.
Take care Ash. Happy new year!
    See you soon.

Awwww, man….shocker ! You’re Breaking my heart dude. But, alas,…. I’d have to agree that the Laphroaig is just too expensive. Looks like I need to pick up a Glen Scotia. We don’t have that one here but I’ve heard the Victoriana is a good one.
Cheers Ash and Merry Christmas again ! Thank you for the great content this year….looking forward to what you’ll be bringing 2025 !

It's a great list for sure Ash, any of these would easily be a winner for a lot of people. I was surprised with your choice but also not :) It is a solid solid dram but that 16 is just sooo beautiful I just can't bring my self to knock it out of the race. Well thank you for the video and the countdown of the regions. I hope you had a lovely Christmas my friend and roll on 2025 with bigger and better drams!

The laphroaig is still my favourite of the year, I just love it but recently it’s become discontinued and is now £120 not the 85 that it was so I couldn’t choose it over a £50 cask strength aged Campbeltown and it does taste really good too! 🙂 I imagine it’s been done to make way for the very expensive 18 year old (laphroaig) cheers Sertug! Same to you, let’s make 2025 with even better content!

Another great video Ash. Haven't tried the glenscotia Cs, but I think you said previously that was travel retail so not come across it in my shopping yet. Like the 10&15 tho. For my own fave of the year it's tough, I've managed to get hold of some pretty decent bottles... But I think I'd be torn between the Filey Bay STR or a whisky shop exclusive bladnoch canasta cask. It's 18/19 yrs, a little pricey tbf but 😍😍😍😍 have a good few arran but the 10 is still my fave and you inspired me to try benromach (now have the 10,15 and 10yr tripple distilled) so looking forward to seeing your pick of those 😁 that's gonna be a tough call

True and now the laphroaig 16 is becoming discontinued according to some comments previously and I’ve just checked and it’s jumped from £85 to 120 so I just couldn’t make it the winner even though I love it. I just can’t do whisky over 100 so I’ll have to find a different laphroaig! Let me know how you get on with benromach, I’ve only had the 10 so far but I really enjoyed it, the 15 should be a big step up 😊 both that and the Arran are fantastic value!
Your whiskies of the year really interest me, I’d love to try a better bladnoch and Filey bay isn’t a massive way away from me, I do want to try more English next year. I’ll look out for the STR cask, cheers! Hope you had a great Christmas 🎄

Haven't tried anything from Glen Scotia besides samples. I'll get to them eventually. So much to try!
I'll give mine to Bunnahabhain CS 2023, and Ledaig 10 in second probably. That said I will open Port Charlotte 10 before the year ends, so you never know :)
So I tried the Bunna 14 Feis Ile on Christmas, and urgh was it a disappointment for me. Very vinous and sour. Heavy on berries, but mostly in the upper end of the taste spectrum so to speak. Probably something red wine-lovers would enjoy, but it doesn't fit me at all unfortunately. Imagine a Bunna CS being my top pick and another Bunna CS being amongst the forgettable ones.
Cheers and a good new years to ya. Keep up the great channel

Oooh, interesting. I would personally go the other way with the bunnas, absolutely love the 14, I guess because of the reasons you dislike it, full of red fruit, very sweet. The 12 Cs I really didn't get along with, I wanted the 12 but amped up, but it was a completely different beast. Have you tried the 14 with a drop of water? Really changes the balance of flavours.

@@nicktunney2733 That is interesting yeah. The 14 is juicy for sure, not sure about very sweet though. Found it to be spirity as well. Do you enjoy red wine as well, or was that read wrong? :) The 12 CS I find to be uniquely nutty/almondy which I enjoy greatly. The Bunna saltiness fits very well with that as well, I think. I did try the 14 with water, but only had the neck pour thus far so will give it more chances. Maybe some of the elements I dislike settles down a bit, and hopefully I can enjoy it more

@@mormorgranat 100% with the nutty/ almond. Making me want to revisit it now 😁. I'm really not a red wine fan (so far anyway), but do love the richer deeper dark fruit of a good port, so I guess that's why it works well for me. Be interested to see how you get on once it's settled a bit. I'm always amazed at the difference between neck pour and a month down the line.

Haha that’s the thing, there’s always more to try! 😅😂 I think you will enjoy the port Charlotte. Interesting! I love unpeated Bunnahabhain but not every cask finish works. Happy new years! And thank you 🙂 more to come from me in 2025
