Respectfully, I've never seen anyone ever ask for a bite from someone's Lunchable (unless they were starving, or it had chips). These poor cuties were trying so hard to be honest and still be polite. They're adorable.
Lunchables were a rare commodity for my family. I would definitely ask if my friends had any.
@@bluchismoon I think my mom and grandma thought Lunchables were a gimmick to make money off of people who had a lot of disposable income or were lazy (didn't want to put in the work). Most of the time my mom sent me to school with lunch, it was a sandwich on wheat bread (which I bartered as often as I could for a sandwich made with Wonder Bread, Skippy and strawberry jam. I was a little kid -- I wanted what tasted good.🤷♀️😊).♡
When I was a kid my friends and I would share the nachos Lunchable! The pizza one was weird to me even as a kid but I loved the nachos one.

I always wanted these growing up but they were too expensive for my family to buy. I had friends share them with me sometimes and I thought they were pretty good. The Nachos were my favorites.

Even as a kid I always found the "pizza" lunchables to be really weird. I liked the other types much better. Also they weren't usually still cold after sitting in my school bag for 4 hours before lunch. 😂
Same. I preferred the wraps and nachos over the pizza. The pizza one is only fun to play with than it is to eat. Lol I used to draw faces with the sauce.

When I was young, the pizza lunchables came with a chocolate packet and m&ms to make a dessert pizza on one of the breads. Eating that when sick was like the peak of my childhood food memories. There were even larger luchables that included canned cola for a time instead of capri sun. I understand the need for change due to high obesity rates, but these new ones barely even have enough cheese to cover half of a single tiny pizza.

Let them see what school lunch looks like in America and maybe they’ll understand 😂 Some kids have to eat school lunch though, as they live in an area where government pays for school lunches because families are so poor. Some kids, school lunches and school breakfasts are the only meals they get. During COVID shutdowns our local school was making bagged meals for parents to come get for their children, because there were many concerns that some children would be going hungry. Then you have kids that bring their lunch to school because they have special eating needs or because they don’t like what the school serves (school lunches are never something to brag about). Lunchables are an option, but many kids bring sandwiches, chips, fruit snacks, and actual fruit and veggies. My niece is a really picky eater and likes fruit and veggies (which aren’t really plentiful in school lunch) so she takes her lunch a few days a week.

These were invented way after my time. Everyone at my school ate the cafeteria food. It was the most delicious food ever. If I see any of my old school cooks out in public, I still tell them they are the best cooks ever.

Lunchables was just a cool thing we’d see on tv. And they were like a weird little status symbol among kids. Like, “dang you got the one with the crunch bar and caprisun?” It was a cool little snack as opposed to a full on meal 😂. They don’t taste super good but they’re a super nostalgia trip
That is the WORST lunchables out of them all I never understood it lol. Cold pizza lol I love the fact that they get nutritious meals there in school. Growing up my school had the healthy option as well as the unhealthy one and you kinda just picked.
The only one I could eat as a kid was the nacho one. Those salty chips with the Caprisun were 👌🏻.

I looooove the pizza lunchables! As a 30 year old now I still get it for lunch or dinner from time to time and when I go camping I just throw in like 12 of these for breakfast lunch and dinner in the cooler and I’m set! Hahahah
U should have them try different luncables , my fav is nacho cheese and salsa and they come with one piece of candy and a juice , my 2nd fav is the crackers with Turkey meat and cheese

I never go these as a kid.. and I also never had school food until I was in hs.. my parents would bring me home cooked food. My mom was not a fan of packing my food in the morning because she would say that the food would go bad so I had to pick up my lunch from the office everyday. It was always hot home made meal.
i never got lunchables as a kid because they were too expensive. if you ever saw a kid with the lunchable that came with a capri sun you knew they had money. once i became an adult i finally got to try lunchables and honestly yeah they’re not that great but it’s totally the nostalgia that makes me want them from time to time
the pizza ones taste better after microwaving for 10-15 seconds but more of after school snack then lunch, when I packed for my sons it was more sandwich,wraps ,chips,pretzels, fruit cups, jello, pudding ,vegtables with ranch cup and fruit.

Yes, the "it's good and bad" and the kid who said he didn't like it, but had no choice, he couldn't help eating it. That encapsulates food in North America. A lot of it is 'not good', it tastes 'not good', you can tell it's 'not good' for you, but they're made in such a way that it appeals to the lizard brain part of you that craves starches, salt, sugars, and fats. A lot of fast food (and convenience foods like these Lunchables) tend to contain more of all of those things than it ought to. Sometimes they'll add, for example sugar, to something that normally wouldn't have it (or at least not nearly so much of it) so that part of your brain that instinctively craves that thing your body finds especially convenient or necessary for life (though not in those quantities) gets activated and says "Yes, we want this!" even as your overall palate is going "this isn't very good." For example, that pizza/marinara sauce? As I recall, it's quite sweet. Not so sweet that it's confusing as a pizza sauce, but still much sweeter than [good] pizza sauce is usually.
This sort of tactic is used the world over, of course, but it's especially prevalent over here.
there is a method to make these... u use a total 1/3 of the sauce on all 3 of the bread thingys and toss away the leftover sauce... put the cheese ontop evenly nuke it in the microwave till the cheese melts and fold it like a taco and eat it that way... only way i ever ate those i couldnt imagine it to be tasting good cold.. i still eat a couple for a snack every once a while n im 36...
also wish they brought back the deluxe lunchables with that lil dill sauce thing u squeezed with the andes mint chocolate candy with it... with the sauce n 2 diff actually deli slices of meat with 2 diff crackers and 2 diff cheese... thats the actually the best lunchable
