Finally! A demonstration that is helpful! Too many people print where one cannot see how it's done but describe it which defeats the purpose of a HOW-TO video.
I've watched Katrina from Moven Grace who states that the material you use to cover the DTV affects the end result. For example if you want a glossy end result you'll use a teflon sheet, if you'd want a matte end result you'll use parchment paper. I know everyone has their own styles I thought I'd share what I've learned. Lmk what you personally think. Stay crafty and safe god bless.

No high priced sub paper, but have you seen the price of the DTV? $2.75 for a 8.4 x 11 sheet or... I paid $145 total for a box of 50 sheets of the DTV and 50 sheets of the TTD Mask 😯😳

The siser print and cuts a bigger area. I really don’t want to have a to buy a whole new machine just for that purpose but I will of cricut doesn’t change theirs 😩
Thanks so much for posting your video. Made my first time using DTV and the TTD mask less intimidating. Love the result! My t-shirt turned out great. My days of using HTV are at an end. Nothing beats the vibrant colours I got using DTV.
but how durbale is it, see thats the problem. i know tis not like screen print or plastisol but
how is it compared to DTG, DTF, amd regular vinyl. How many washes can we get if careful

So excited when I found this printable HTV and your how to video! Unfortunately, my images aren't printing correctly! Ugh! I had this same issue with my printable vinyl. It must be my printer settings, but I can't seem to figure it out. I see you use the same printer I do, just a newer model. Any chance you can help a girl out?? It seems to be spilling too much ink onto the vinyl. You can't see any of the white outlines around the letters and there are droplets of ink on the edges.
Is this similar to the Starcraft Printable vinyl? If so, which do you like better?

This was all so intimidating, but you have helped me tremendously lol, the look you get in at around 9:23 where the Cricut goes off on its own, is pretty much the look I get all the time trying to figure out this machine...😂 the ghost of craftypants skeleton falling off... priceless... thx again, keep up the great work.

I accidentally on purpose bought this last weekend and it was amazing 👏
don't you hate it when you do things accidentally on purpose? LOL
I just bought DTV and someone said that you need to let the ink dry for 24 hours or place in under a heat press (not closed) for 5 mins. Also they said to let the image sit on the transfer sheet for 24 hrs before weeding.

Hey Michael! Love you videos. Angie Holden showed how you can move the picture to another mat and you can fit more on a sheet. I haven’t tried it but I wanted you to know.
Thank you so much for this video! Really helpful!! I am having a really hard time getting the design to stick to the mask even after going over it with the squigy a million times, I even asked my husband to do it for me in case it just needed more pressure....any ideas/suggestions!?
Soooooo true! Cricut needs to change that print size for the print and cut. Really!
I'm so glad I found this video. I have been using a different printable vinyl but I couldn't find the mask that wouldn't pull off part of the ink. I'll try this!!

I can't use a transfer sheet on this? The lady I bought it from said it's no diffrent than an htv pattern transfer???? I'm about to use it and don't wanna waste it. TIA love watching you!!
I have not had good luck with it holding the ink after a few washes the color completely goes away
With siser easycolor? I've been looking for a wash test on it with 10+ washes but can only find 1 wash tests on yt.

This looks very intriguing. I would love to see a break-down of the cost of the DTV vs sublimation. Would it be more feasible to use the DTV for small projects and use sublimation for larger projects? Just wondering.
Probably depends on where you live. Here in Australia they cost $40 a pack (5 sheets) so I will only use them on dark fabrics and use sublimation on white fabric as more cost efficient for me

They currently cannot increase the print size due to where they installed the camera that reads the registration lines on their prints. I use word to print larger.
Can you share the instructions for how you made it bigger in Word?
@@Wrightn221 normally in Word you create a blank document, then insert a picture. From there you can resize the picture by dragging the little arrow that appears on the frame surrounding the picture, to make it bigger or smaller.

Then you still can't use print then cut. You'd have to cut by hand.
I know you said you can't use the regular clear transfer. have you tried it though?
My TTD mask didn't do that. My TTD I got from 143 basically didn't pick up the Easy Color at all. I have a ticket in with customer service. I think they accidently sent me HTV Mask paper insted of TTD. I got like a white outline of my image on the mask and nothing else. lol Luckily, I have plenty of Easy Subli Mask, so I used that.

what is the best way to transfer a photo to a piece of cloth . dtv or sublimation. I realize if I use sublimation I have to use 100%polyester. I would be using white fabric.

I'm confused about the cut size you mentioned. I have the Cricut Maker with the long mat and it shows I can cut a maximum size of 11.5 inches by 23.5 inches.

Love that you are so genuine that you leave in your "mistake" about using a dark shirt and with the skeleton falling down 2x! So funny but so authentic! Thank you for being you. Just hope mine comes out anywhere near your beautiful designs. Do have one question though, my design has white letters and not sure whether the print and cut will cut them out because when I go as far as the mat, don't see the letters outlined like it is going to cut them. Think I might try just plain paper first to see what happens instead of messing up the expensive stuff. If you know, would love your input. Thanks again!

You had a much better result with the loose pieces then I did applying the mask. When I was doing it it keep picking up the pieces off the mat before I got close enough to apply the mask. Any idea how to help with this or what I am doing wrong.

I quit buying ink for my injet once I had a Laserjet and Sublimation printer. I actually have the injet in a recycle pile right now. Please tell me I don't need to dig it out and buy ink for it again!

If you have a sawgrass printer and are having problems with it grabbing the film, tape a skinny piece of paper across the non printing side.
do you have to use the siser mask with this? can you use regular transfer paper?
What happens if you use it in a sublimation printer? Cause I may have printed it from a sub printer… 😳

Hey Michael, aka Mr Crafty Pants, silly QUESTION, If some crazy someone wanted to change colors in a sublimitation file is that possible? IF SO, how? Subject for another tutorial. TY Michael for you great video tutorials! I've got to get my self in gear & catch your live/premiere videos!
The material you're using is amazing! Gotta get some! TY!
If it is an svg and has not been flattened in DS, yes colors can be changed. So if you have an MCP file that you want colors changed, download the SVG, change your colors, then flatten for p/c. Otherwise it would need to be done in canva, illustrator, or
inkscape most likely.

The shirts were cotton, from what I understood, as it's not sublimation. This is the alternative to "sublimate" on non polyester clothings.
So for this I could use a regular printer for printing the design? 🤔 i have a canon inkjet printer. I really don’t know much about this stuff 😅.

You could use the remainder if you add smaller images to your Cricut Canvas

Both are great, but the Siser seems to be on another level in terms of quality and stretch!

Can you print this out using your regular printer settings for size ie A4 and then just cut it separately with your cricut
You are my favorite! What type of heat press are you using? Also, does the DTV feel heavy on the shirt? I used printable HTV one time; and couldn’t stand the way it felt.
