Royce's wife gave birth to his child at the same time and the same hospital where his grandmother was dying. Royce had his First Major concert that same day. Mostly right, except it wasnt all the same day. On wikipedia it talks about the significance of the numbers 5 and 9 (it's more than just his height) and he says"... his grandmother dying on the fifth floor of the hospital and his child being born on the ninth" idk if that means same day or not tho. But he met eminem on December 27th, 1997 at the age of I think 19. So that couldnt be the same day. Yea they werent childhood friends, although royce moved to oak hills, michigan at the age of 10. Idk how close that is to Detroit though. But they were work friends and then Royce rejected dre's signing offer and signed with a rival company, and they actually beefed for a while. If you listen to PST 2 of The Invasion you'll hear em diss royce in a line about his drug use and jewel encrusted durag. They never went at war though, and Eminems only dissed him once in his career and given him a ton of lyrical praise.
