- Not just a marble battle, but the entire war.
Armies travel randomly across the map, engaging in combat if they meet. Once conquered, towns will produce more fighters for the player. Whenever the army goes to the home city or a friendly town, it will reinforce itself with fighters.
Fighters gain experience by scoring kills. If a fighter gains enough experience it will level up, gaining perks like additional hit points, speed and/or equipment.
Destroy all the enemy kings and armies to win!

Predstava, the tale of a marble's hubris leading to their downfall. Predstava started off by slaying the purple king. He was a fierce warrior, and Red's strongest marble. But he was not the blood warrior, though like the blood warrior, he was mortal.
He kept slaying countless foes, and proving his skills as a fighter.
But overtime, he got sloppy. He got cocky. He relinquished one of his two blades, thinking that he only needed the one blade to destroy all, since all fell before him.
At first, he was fine. He had the endurance, health, and damage to accommodate. But what made him so deadly and so strong before was his two handed style, not 1 handed. He also was significantly more vulnerable to attacks with more of his body approachable. It was the last few battles. He brazenly went against no-named soldiers and pillaged outposts... but somehow, his health got low. He kept getting cornered and instead of using his two swords to cut his way out, he simply tanked the damage. He was now leaving battles with nameless villages with half health. And though he recovered physically, his mindset did not.
And in his last battle against sofjet, his hubris would be his downfall.
It was now sofjet vs Predstava. Sofjet was only freshly level 3, and Predstava was level 7: a 4 level difference. Easy peasy he thought, no need to take out my second sword. But this was a costly mistake. At times where his left side would have been protected by his second sword, he instead took axe hits to the face. And over time, this added up. Combine that with the ferocity of Sofjet, passed down to him by the more humble kingslayer KTOTO, and Predstava had met his match. In the end, he fell from grace and from the land of the living due to overconfidence.
That’s exactly what i thought as well! Such a good story with a good message. Don’t get too cocky or you’ll face the consequences!

This reminds me of the blood knight of episode 3 or 2 I'm pretty sure it was. Glad to see its return
I am so so happy to see predstava performing that well. Even tho I lost one of my swords (definitely not because of hubris, just to be clear!), I enjoyed that match to its fullest. Big thanks for that!

a tactical genius with talent for the spear incomparable to any other, a marble with the unmatched ability to avoid attacks and dispatch foes with grace, planning, and whimsical elegance

A skilled berserker who dealt the final blow to an insanely talented red fighter who was utterly dominant from the start, up until his encounter with Sofjet the legend himself
It is not tactical genius to have the enemy run straight into you. It’s skill to stab them
And yet you cannot forget the almost powerful Predslava the King slayer. Albeit he killed the king rather early on, he obtained a huge reputation for being the level 7 red marble before being killed.
And Sofjet just got lucky is all.

This is actually peak cinema, the lack of a canon story makes it so you can imagine a story that you definitely will enjoy, and watching my blue underdogs grow strong in order to fight a threat that was completely dominant from the very start was PEAK, definitely never dropping this series, this is UNBELIEVABLY hype considering it’s marbles bouncing around randomly, 11/10, story made me shed a tear
You don't even care that the purple king was unfairly slain not two minutes into the story.

level 3 marble : can level up, but there is still chance of die
level 4 and after : *REAL ESTATE*
Once you reach level 4, 5 and 6, or even 7 if you’re active enough, are quite achievable, if only because it’s so difficult to die

Level 7: lose one of your weapons and become 10x weaker than you were at level 6
The level when the marble changes weapons: basically level 2
super happy about the changes made to spears. they were definitely the weakest before.
Now they are the strongest and overpowered, you can't hit them from behind because of the shield, you can't hit them from below because of the spear shaft, you can't hit them from above because of the helmet, and you can't hit them from the front because you will get killed by the spear.

@@JohnCena-le1jj that's just straight up wrong. your perception is completely warped by your already pre-existent bias and the fact that one of the main heroes in this episode was literally *A LEVEL SIX SPEARMAN, ANY* marble at that level deals ridiculous damage. *NORMAL* spearmen at *NORMAL* levels do in fact deal *NORMAL* damage. Also you can't go around saying spears are overpowered when one of the heroes at the stat screen was a spearman who died at *level one* and who many marbles of other classes manage to outlevel, outlive and surpass.

Sofjet and Kototo were the best duo there ever was. They singlehandedly (with a little help) took down the red kingdom.
They would have been destroyed by the Red hero if the game didn't take away one of his knives when he leveled up to 7.
If he attacked the Blue army when he was still level 6 (which almost happened 3 times but every time the armies missed each other) he would have destroyed Blue army and won.

Predstava was a legend. Slayer of kings, slayer of kingslayers, slayer of any who stood in his way. Always hunted down any marble that gained a reputation to look for an honourable battle. Never needed more than a few marbles in his army, only having more for show. Even after his final fight, his name still holds firm across the land which he once walked on.
This probably seems like a funny thing to say after a 43 minute video, but... I feel like the Kings should all start at level 2 or 3. They're a little too easy to kill. It should take hella luck or some battle-time in the field for a group to be able to take down a kind and his men in the castle. Make the Kingslayers REALLY feel like they've gone god-mode at some point! But that little thought aside, these are always a ton of fun to watch, always looking forward to the next one!
I would also suggest giving their guards a level or two, as well, to make them an honor guard of sorts for the king.

On the contrary, I LOVE that any random person can become Kingslayer by chance and become strong. :)
I suggest the king stay lvl 1 and only make the guards lvl 2 or 3.

I think that like narratively this is the best but there were some other really cool ones
At some point it looked like a Red Kingdom victory, but the grand strike of the Bandit Faction against them gave the chance for the Blue Republic to destroy both, and get revenge by slaying the Red King. Awesome!

Not really, what gave Blues the win was that the Reds' strongest hero lost one of their knives when they leveled up to level 7.
I think this conclusively shows that the axe marbles are categorically the strongest, and the hammer marbles the weakest. One of the axes took out a roided up hero four or five levels above him, a level *seven* and an army of hammers barely managed to take a town with a significant numbers advantage. So much for a specialty unit.
I think it comes down to two things mostly. Hitboxes and shield boxes. The stuff that hurts you, and the stuff that stops hurtboxes from getting at you and all. The axemen have a lot of both. Especially when they gain levels and start spinning around. There's a reason one of the most lethal heroes in this entire series was an axeman who held his axes close to his body and just span. Three quarters of his body covered at all times and minimal openings to hit, and a whirling ball of death for everyone else.
Meanwhile the hammerers are incredibly slow and large, and have no protection at baseline. Their weapons don't shield them at all, they're incredibly difficult to connect with, and most of the time don't even do appreciable damage. Their slowness also means their effective chances to hit are also considerably smaller than a unit exactly the same but with a faster spin. I think the hammerers either need to be brought to par with other units vis a vis size, speed, and health or they need some sort of helmet. So they have at least some protection to begin with.
I'm really not sure axe marbles are the strongest. Sure, they can do a lot of damage to large groups if they get lucky, but if you pick a random axe marble in this video or previous ones they tend to die just as often as a sword marble, and their defenses are surprisingly easy to slip through due to how if their axes both point in the same direction they have a massive weak spot (although if you fail, you die). Based on how they are placed on most maps, they are intended to be around the same power level as knights, but if you have an equal amount of axe marbles and knights and get them into a fight, the knights win basically every time. They are definitely more powerful than most units, but considering how much xp they give when killed and how easily that happens to unleveled or level one axe marbles, they can sometimes even be a hindrance in an army. The defense problem isn't as bad as they level up (when they get the helmet), and I definitely wouldn't call them weak but with their massive offensive potential, mediocre defense, and high xp reward on kill they are a risk-reward strategy (or maybe glass cannon would be the better term?). It's just the times they do get lucky and succeed are really memorable, much more so than other powerful units, so they seem stronger than they are.
I completely agree with you about the hammers though, they really need a buff
actually in hindsight looking closer at this video the axe marbles don't die nearly as often as I'm pretty sure they normally do. Maybe their hp was increased? It seems like they can tank hits that in the past would have killed them. Alternatively, I could just be wrong about axe marbles in general and I'm misremembering how often they die
I would agree that axes are the strongest. But from my observations the hammer actually does a lot of damage when it lands, enough to bring heroes to near death. It also seems to slow the target it hits, making it vulnerable.
Hammers have been the weakest unit for a few videos now. Even with the bad spearmen AI, their reach usually made them decent in some situations. Hammers feel like they have nothing going for them.
I'm more confident in an army of basic short swords than I am with an army of twice as many hammers.
I can't even tell where their hurtbox is most of the time. I watched like 2-3 times this video where a hammer smacked full-force into the side of a marble and didn't even register as a hit, then - in the same fight - the corner of the hammer sprite barely passes within 40 pixels of the target and the target just collapses and dies instantly. I have no idea what's going on with them, but the hammer's graphical bounds do not seem to align with the programmatic bounds at all.
But yeah, the twin axe berserkers are nuts. Maybe it's an illusion of being the only tier-1 dual wielder, but they seem like they spin so much faster and have way less openings to be hit in compared to any other tier 1 unit. You can never really hope to kill an axe berserker for free; at best, you're either trading your life for theirs or you're high enough level that you can soak the damage to kill them.
I honestly just think that hammers should be unblockable or at least some level of advantage to make up for their slow attacks.

I suggest that the ball holding the hammer has a special effect that can temporarily deflect the enemy's weapon, but the ball holding the shield is not afraid of this special effect.

I like to believe that KTOTO had a mentor role for sofjet and that they have a strong friendship forged in fierce battles together
Predstava seemed like a complete psychopath, just watched his entire army die in front of him just to face a strong opponent in the end.
I think it would be cool if the spearmen's weapon changes into a halberd once they reach level three. like how the bandit captain got a sword once he reached that level
Then they'd need to loose the shield, as halberd is very much 2h weapon. Maybe a light glaive instead, with slightly longer blade hit box
as a rebuttal, a spear is also very much a two handed weapon, yet they still get a shield at level one. and while some spearmen did use shields it was not common.@@CaemmYsWoed

@@timothywilliams9366that's just wrong, in classical times spears were used with shields, and they weren't short at all, same with medieval times, they are literally known as the most common weapon, then they got replaced by pikes but it was because of guns, at that point shields became redundant

Died on 1-st minute 55-th second.
His home tribe has attacked by Orange kingdom. He fought for his tribe furious and managed to kill 5 enemy soldiers. Even though his all tries he was killed by soldier SignaltoGround.
Predstava, the angel of death flying through the battlefield picking lives like flowers in a garden, killer of the purple king. He often went wandering in the countryside. Many say if he hadn't lost his arm to illness he would have died of old age and never on a battlefield.
Predstava(7lvl) - "I'm kill your King! Get out of my way!"
Sofjet(4lvl) - "Don't say his name!"
Man from the start to the end, the journey of KTOTO from blue was legendary and how he led his team to victory, absolutely epic, great video man, hope I can be in the next one.

Ending the round with Sofjet and KTOTO linking up is the best thing I've seen in this series
Sirrobster the Captain was a big part of why Blue won and why Ktoto is still here today. He and his warband were able to propel Blue out of the gutter and his men saved the whole nation.

If "he" still had 2 swords he might very well be alive for some time after that moment, since there were a few times in the fight (where he would die) that it could actually hurt or maybe even kill the blue marble... 😢
That's so stupid, this cost Red the entire game. They would have won if the "level up" didn't take away one of the weapons.

You know @LostMarbles, I'm super impressed by your dedication and patience adding, removing, readding, and modifying all the features of this simulation. I imagine there must be hundreds of reruns that just don't turn out quite right and no small amount of frustration on your part when they don't.

The most frustrating is when I'm deep into a run that has a really nice storyline and I notice a gamebreaking bug and spent hours trying to fix it :(
Just recently I encountered a bug where, after destroying a city, the attacking army would lost a random number of units. I only noticed it after doing multiple runs because I usually don't pay that close attention, and spent a lot of time troubleshooting it. It turns out it was a change I made days earlier, where I briefly toyed with the idea of allowing cities to be conquered again and set the "Can be Captured" flag on the city, and forgot to turn it off again. So what was happening when winning a battle against a city: the city would be captured, and a random number of units would be transferred as a garrison, and then immediately after the city would be destroyed.

It was a rogue, not a swordsman. And the rogue lost because the game took away one of his knives when he leveled up to level 7. If he was level 6 he would have destroyed Sofjet.

You can't hit them from the back because it is blocked by the shield, you can't hit them from below because it is blocked by the spear shaft, you can't hit them from above because it is blocked by the helmet, and you can't hit them from the front because the spear is there which has the longest reach in the game and ridiculous damage.

@@notthatbad42 That's me! The story of Predstava kinda just, like, wrote itself in a way. I added some extra bits of narrative flair and framed it into the context of a story, but nearly everything I mentioned happened in the video.
Predstava DID get taken down to half health by a nameless village. And his flank was what had cost him.
A tale of a warrior's sorrow:
KTOTO had aspirations of the fight, so he went to battle with his trusty spear and shield. He began killing his opponents and learning the ways of the of the spear, fighting sword fighters, archers, axe wielding giants even! But only to realize that his true heart lied in an opponent worthy of his mettle!
In the distance he saw a strong woman (Who we now know as Prestava the rogue fighter) much much stronger than he! But then tragedy struck as KTOTO saw the battle-axe wielding barbarian Sofjet slaughter his worthy opponent! So from then on KTOTO fought in honor of his late Worthy opponent.
Nah from my perspective it was the opposite, thought of my two blue boys as brothers wanting to see each other again at the end of the war and they did, I got so sad when Sofjet had to fight the king slaying red warrior and leaped out my bed in excitement as Sofjet locked in to see his family again.

the fact that you can just make your own story with this is amazing, and the fight between Predstava vs sofjet was just perfect. Spear units are now viable even at low level as they can just play defence and get kills or rush and take one or two soldiers out before they fall. Overall i think this series is much more improved and im glad about that because this is just fun to watch.
*suggestions:*
language changing: change the level-up text to "[hero] has advanced to Level [x]!"
bounty: kingslayers have a bounty of +25% xp drop on death for every king killed (which means if a kingslayer dies the fighter who killed them gets more xp than usual, the xp dropped increases if the kingslayer kills another king beforehand)

Blue was prepared to fight Predstava and potentially kill him, but upon seeing the armies, they were terrified, they ran back and King Jordon Tyo was slained by none other than Predstava, Blue faced 13 casualties, half of them from Predstava, while Red only faced 6
KTOTO and predstava, these two are opposites of each other
predstava, right from the start, was very experienced and became a dominant enemy, a very aggressive person and one who was unbeatable until he kept on getting cocky and lost
KTOTO, a spearman who trained in the arts of the spear and slowly rose up to be one of the greatest heroes, instead of being aggressive, he decided to be a tactical genius, raiding Red to increase Blue Dominance.
And Sofjet, the one who ended the last threat to blue
He was a grunt from the start, b ut under the guidance of KTOTO, he learnt the experience of war and prepared for any incoming attacks at his camp, little did he know, it was the battle that would decide the fate of the world
the reign of predstava is too great.

this was great! love these videos. truly epic.
i don’t see how the red warrior going from level 6 to level 7 but losing a sword and essentially making him weaker in doing so, makes a lot of sense. i could be wrong, it just appears when the level up happens it starts to get clapped. and hammers are just fodder currently.
Yeah, that’s the only two problem I got with the current situation of this game. While I’m glad it happened since I support the blue marbles, I still don’t like the fact that red were downgraded for us to win.

Damn, the best gameplan always seems to be the take your starting army and just go kill their king. It works almost every time we've seen it.
Maybe we need like a stronger starting garrison, or maybe a couple of pre-named hero units that stay with the king like a Kingsguard, or like a 15 second barrier at the start or just *something* so that a team doesn't die literally right off the rip. It seems like almost every Marble Kingdoms video starts with a team dying *instantly*.

the upgrades are my favorite part so id like the previous bandit spawning to come back, but now i have an idea
different rarities of upgrades, like common rare legendary etc, each signified by a color (with legendary being a cool gradient of course)
and defeating common bandits gives you common upgrades with a chance for rare and above, but defeating the harder, rare bandits guarantees you rare or above!
(also i like how it seems like youre trying to nudge it so eventually, the 'grey faction' gets a win. im so excited for that to happen)
The fight between Sofjet and Predstava ended, Predstava was lying on the ground bleeding to death having his last moments of life, then Sofjet approached him and said a few words to him.
Sofjet: Remind yourself that overconfidence is a slow and treacherous killer.
I think the castles should have a zone around them where if they get sieged while their army is in the zone the army participates in the battle

Seeing Spearman now having a chances even against high lvl fighters is got me exited and a lot more cheerful towards Spear units.
And changes to Spearmen now highlighted a bit of a problem with Hammermen units. So, i read a few suggestions on how to improve them, but i think it could be better to look at new Spearmen and try to think of this:
Suggestion! Hammers could use a different hold on their weapon, like Spears are now on side of marble and facing in one direction, shield at the back for better protection, also a hit-box of spear makes it a good parry weapon. So! For hammers i came up with this: hammer should have a slightly longer handle, and hammer would be infront of marble to protect it from direct attacks, also giving Hammermen a small but effective hit range, which will help them in narrow places and their spinnig attacks will prove to be more dangerous at close range.
Yet my suggestion can be far from one that you, LM, have in your mind, so we can only wait for another upload of Marble Kingdoms and see for ourselfs how you will haldle your own series and units in them!

This was an awesome episode! Purple and Orange were defeated quite quickly, but Red and Blue are undoubtedly the best of this one. ( Blue Pike Marble and Red Double Swordman Marble heroes. )
imho archers should shoot faster or hold fire until they are aimed at an enemy. It is so bad they prepare firing for soooo long, then fire the exact opposite direction. Or they just endlessly switch weapons and never fire. 12:15 perfect example

I wish we saw the red soldier vs blue spearman because they were both skilled.
Just got all the way through this series. I've cheered for Red in every single video and they've never won. I think in 4 of these now they had some insane stroke of bad luck that caused them to lose.

he let his overconfidence get to him and he relinquished one of his swords. He left his left flank open from axe hits that led to his demise

Am I the only one who comes up with a storyline too these videos. Solet became the blue king, and if your wondering why not Mr. KOTO, though they were really good at combat in almost every battle all of their troops died and I just don't see that looking good on paper. Great work on the videos, so entertaining.

I’d thought I’d have been fine with any marble that could take out Predstava the bloodthirsty, and when he met his match chasing down the retired Sofjet I did cheer, but for the ultimate victory to go to the ultimate coward….
Some call KTOTO a tactical and strategic genius, but what genius! He set his own towns ablaze in order to force Sofjet back into combat and ran from any from any fight that might challenge him. This was a war dominated by two villainous kingdoms. The red no better than bandits and the blue who’d balk at no “tactic” no matter how heinous. Such is the way of war, where good men die early while cowards and the cruel survive and slaughter.
yk, I saw Robert Gaming, and I said "this is great. I love Robert Gaming! I hope they win." Only for them to be slaughtered by a unit I would come to love even more. Rest in peace, Poopmancer.

This is one of the best thing what I've seen before.
Predstava was way too greedy with kills that his team couldn't grow and keep up, even half way through the video I could guess he was gonna end up dead while solo (well, close enough to being solo). But still, he's a fuckin' assassin, super entertaining to root for.
On the other hand, Ktoto, what a humble little guy, standing his ground and rotating in order to counterattck the marbles floating towards them. I'm glad spearmen are finally able to point their spear heads more accurately now. I loved their little kettle helms lol. And on top of everything, this is gonna be my favourite episode ever. 2 characters to easily root for, and ends in a ragnarok by the one I was rooting for/
I have to say, I've watched quite a few of the Marble Kingdoms series and I'd really like to see you improve on the equipment rules in battle.
A few suggestions I have.
1- Every unit starts with a random piece of equipment, but any unit that starts with helmet or shield gets a weak weapon.
2- Every unit that levels up has a % chance to evolve 1 piece of their equipment by 1 tier (get a better version of the same equipment).
3- Whenever a unit kills another unit that has better equipment than it has of the same type or a piece of defensive equipment that it doesn't, it has 100% chance to get 1 single piece of the enemy equipment for itself.
4- Whenever an unleveled unit kills a unit at least 2 levels above it, it has 100% chance to get 1 single piece of equipment for itself.
5- Whenever a unit kills another unit that uses 1 handed weapon (axe, sword and dagger) without possessing neither a shield nor an off-hand weapon, it has a low %chance to get the enemy weapon as an off-hand second weapon.
6- Whenever a unit that HAS a shield or off-hand weapon kills another unit that has the opposite (if it has a shield and killed someone with off-hand or has off-hand and killed someone with a shield) but it is 2 tiers above the currently equipped secondary hand equipment, it has 100% chance of swapping from one to the other, otherwise, units do not swap or lose their off-hand equipment.
7- Units don't lose equipment unless they die.
8- Untaken equipment from dead units are dropped on the ground and units that pass on top of it have a chance of equipping it inversely proportional to their distance to the nearest enemy unit.
These 8 rules would make late-game surviving units a lot better equipped, like battle-worn warriors and even mid battle, it would be interesting to see units equipping helmets and shields mid-battle early on.
It would also make heroes much more interesting and distinguished since they would be clearly better equipped and you'd be even able to remember in which battles they got certain equipment.
