Wanted to give a big thanks, I watched a few of your pillow videos and I went with the Air Head. My wife is joining me on a camp out and her comfort is my goal. I’m hoping to make her enjoyment a priority to get her more interest in backpacking. Thanks again!
I have almost every pillow on here and still never really cared for them! Seen the Teton mini camp pillow with removable pillow case for $10. Pulled the pillow case off and just stuff it with my down coat and it's awesome! Thanks for the video buddy!
2x Fillo Elites for me. They keep my spine level while side sleeping. Perfection. Feels like I'm sleeping in my bad at home. Do not neglect the benefits of a proper sleep setup in the outdoors.
I use a Coop Home Goods Toddler Pillow, took out most of the shredded memory foam, and put a naturehike (trekology) pillow under the foam layer. I can adjust the amount of foam for more comfort or adjust the amount of air in the inflatable pillow for more support. Get the perfect ratio of weight, comfort, and support for me. It all fits inside a zipped bamboo breathable pillow case so I can easily just wash that or even wash the whole pillow with the memory foam.
Really great review Justin - helped me nail down my preferences. Also, your audio has stepped up a few notches from your Pillow Round 1 video. Not sure what you changed but it is a big improvement. Thought you might want to know that its make a difference.
I have two pillows I use together as one: the Thermarest Compressible pillow & Trekology v2.0 that I Velcro together. The tall support I need and the comfort too

I've been using the Thermarest Down Pillow on a Trekology 2.0. Exceptionally comfy, but definitely not ultralight. Worth trying if you ever get your hands on one. The down basically does the same thing the foam topper does, but without having to franken-pillow it! I agree with your praise of the shape and baffling of the trekology.
I literally fell asleep on my floor when I put the Nemo Fillo (deflated) on top of the Trekology 2.0. It was more comfortable than my normal pillow! haha. Putting a topper on a Trekology definitely works well.
I have the Thermarest AIr Head Lite, and the valve mates perfectly with the inflation bag for my EXped mat. I can fill the pillow with air, not halitosis...HUGE plus for the Thermarest!
Ive been using the Nemo fillo pillow. I just picked up a new pillow which is very close to your pillow at home. It’s the thermarest packable pillow. It’s made from recycled foam and feels great after it expands fully. Doesn’t compress as good as a lot of other backpacking pillows but I just shove it in the bottom of my pack with my quilt.
I have always found that compressible pillows end up compressing too much when I sleep on them and I lose the height I need as a side sleeper. They are also crazy heavy! But that's just me and I think it's important to use whatever is most comfortable and gets you the best sleep out there!
Great comparison video and I completely agree with your "6 things". I've been using the trekology pillows for a while now and I love them. The pad strap is the best as I move around a lot when sleeping and without that strap I end up waking up because my pillow is somewhere else (I am a quilt sleeper so no hood to put it in). It's a great low-cost option!
My husband has bought two different pillows and is on his way to buying a third because he can't get past the pillow not having a foam top. I prefer the Trekology pillow because, (well we've all had condensation build up in your tent) , I can not deal with sleeping on a wet pillow, . With all the other features the Trekology has; it's phenomenal for its price point.
Are you a Taurus? Love your focus on comfort! These videos were so informative! I have a whiplash injury that's been preventing me from camping the way I love to, and getting a comfy packable pillow will be key! Thank you!
I have made by myself a sheet with a 2 cm thick foam on top for the exped air lite. An then it will sleep mutch better the the exped rem, because of the shape of the pillow. When I see all those pillows I 'm getting a idea for sewing one special made with some of the features that I like.
I'm out in back yard gear testing atm, looking to get 5 inches of snow tonight!! Somehow couldn't find my treklogly, not definitely need to find that. Leg pillow just socks for neck pillow!...
I have been sleeping on Cocoon Pillows for a decade, The Air Core and the neck pillow are my go to pillows i also use a Snugpak compressible pillow for between my legs and i get a great night sleep whether in a tent or my hammock...
I love my trekology 2.0 , great video again. Maybe on your next video you could add a segment where we can see the size difference for packability. Guessing the comfortable ones with the foam are probably packing big...
Thermarest compressible pillow, is the one for me. No valves or leaking to fiddle with or worry about. You HAVE to wash and dry before use to get the most comfort out of the foam, but MAN that pillow is soooo comfortable.
Good tip on washing it before using it. Maybe that is what I have done in the past when trying to use a compressible. Are you a side sleeper by and chance? I had a bit of troubles getting enough loft out of the compressible, as a side sleeper.
@@JustinOutdoors We got ours last spring, and tried it without and there is very noticeable difference in the foam after being washed and dried (remember to use a tennis ball or two as well!) I sleep both ways tbh, mostly on my back when I'm alone but with my gf it's on my side too (snoring, supposedly haha.) To be it's been really good, feels real nice to the touch, nothing to worry about or fiddle with except let it expand before sleep. I've gotten so tired of the air-filled ones, I just don't sleep the same when I'm trying to get sone decent sleep on a balloon. :P :)
Bought the trekology 2.0 last year based on your recommendation and that strap on the back is a game changer. Took it all around Algonquin in the fall and the strap makes a world of difference.
I'm pretty sure, based off other hammocking pillows, that the Klymit X pillow is meant for use in a hammock. The X style baffling is such that it folds with the curve of the hammock and actually sort of origami's itself into a whole, solid pillow when used in the hammock. However on flat ground, clearly it's lacking in the center for support lol.
So glad I saw your videos. I was going to buy one of the sea to summit pillows but after your video found one that is much more fitting for my sleep style
outstanding video have had couple of these pillows. but I keep going back to the Trekology the strap is the best keeps the pillow in place. And the comfort, stability, weight, and price all great
I appreciate the reviews. I'm drawn to both vids today because I broke out the gear for the summer and had a leak in the Trekology 1.0 that I've had for about 2.5 years. I thought I fixed it but submerged and saw another one adjacent to the one I fixed, so figured I might have missed it originally. I put a patch on that whole area and it took ... but then I saw two other small ones pop up when testing. All were on the colored side of the pillow. I'm guessing that the material on that side just finally hit it's crap-out date and had become compromised. Looks like it's time for a Trekology 2.0! I like the idea of the strap to hold it in place, but I tend to always have my arm under my pillow while sleeping so we'll see how it works out. Keep up the good work!
@@JustinOutdoors Not a problem! I like that there seem to be more channels coming in over the past few years to fill a niche that wasn't really being addressed by all the thru-hiker channels, and I appreciate when they're done well. Fortunately this happened before every aspiring camper or hiker ended up buying a $400 quilt and $600 cuben-fiber tent stitched up in some dude's basement It's too bad that it really takes years to figure out what kind of hiker you are, and therefor what gear you really need. I don't regret buying an Atmos 65 right out of the gate, but as I continue to dial things in, I think that with the gear choices I make NOW, I could have gotten something with a little less engineering in the 50-55L range for much lower MSRP (although I only paid $125 for that Osprey pack) and been equally happy. Of course, then we couldn't have as much fun always checking out gear and thinking about how we can upgrade. Still, it's always good to know what options are out there so that we only end up buying the same part of our set-up 4x rather than 6x or 7x. Take care.
First Round 3 submission of the day! Under 100g is a nice feature! Have you attached shock cord or anything to the side loops as a pillow attachment? Love that they included those.
Love your review. One possible thing to add is the size the pillows pack down to. When you have the shot of the pillows with their weights and prices you could then show them packed down. The foam must make the hybrid pillows less packable???
Thanks John! Nemo hit one out of the park with the foam they used for the topper. Whatever that is, it should become industry standard (maybe a bit lighter).
Nice round-up Justin, I really like your videos and subscribed to your channel! I have the Nemo pillow you mentioned and agree it's just sooooo comfy! I do a lot of bicycle touring and I always take it with me for a perfect night of sleep. For shorter hiking trips I also bring it, but the downside is obviously the hefty weight. For UL hiking I bought a Big Sky DreamSleeper Deluxe for only $25 on Drop. It weighs 40 grams for the air bladder (you can throw a buff/t-shirt around) but you can also take the very soft and comfy pillow cover with you that doubles as the stuff sack, weighing 61 grams, totalling only 101 grams or around 3.6 oz! Highly recommended pillow (I'm a side sleeper btw). Keep up the good work with your videos, really good stuff :)
Well done. Great review. I just got the Nemo Fillo free with a Nemo mat I purchased. I don't really like blow up pillows but the Fillo I'm really comfortable with and it's weight. Before that I had a pillow slip made that slipped over my mat. I just stuffed this with my clothes which was ok.
From your suggestion previously I purchased the Treckology 2.0, it's great. The stretchy material is nice, small package when deflated, the grip on the bottom and mattress band is very helpful , I bring it with me for hotel use to get the perfect height. Now I want to try the Nemo Fillo.
I got the Nemo Tensor Long and Wide and the Nemo Fillo pillow valued $59.98 all up for $254 AUD, which was sale price at Paddy Pallin in Perth on Easter Monday. Pretty happy with that deal
The Nemo fillo was the last pillow I purchased. I took the bladder from it and paired it with the Thermarest down pillow. That setup seems to work for me both tent and hammock camping. The foam pad was just too firm and smelly.
Great video! I started with the klymit x unfortunately, but recent bought the Nemo Fillo. Will probably try it this weekend. The only problem for me is the pack size. If they could make it a little smaller and give it a U shape it would be the best.
Thanks for the awesome review. I need a quick update on the new thermarest pillows though (down one and updated air head). I'll sub and keep an eye out.
Jason, great detailed videos! I watched your first review of pillows and the second review (round 2) of pillows and based on your recommendations I bought two pillows. The Trekology 2.0 and the Therm-A-Rest Air Head. I have not had a chance to try either one on the trail yet but have had the opportunity to test them out at home. Just got my Air Head yesterday and the first thing I noticed was how noisy the pillow is. Each time I roll from back to side to side the crunching of the pillow is crazy noisy almost as noisy as a Therm-A-Rest pad. Do I have a defective pillow or do you have the same experience with your pillow?
Fantastic video on pillows, Justin! I've enjoyed seeing your channel evolve. There's a local company in my area that makes their own version of the trekology/aeros style pillows for around the same price as the trekology. I've enjoyed the comfort of the pillow and the shoulder curve for those of us who are side sleepers, but I dislike the face fabric, it feels sticky with any condensation. Often I wrap a buff around my pillows to make them more comfortable. Recently I watched a video that showed using those sea-to-summit style UL bug-nets to attach the pillow to the pad! Haven't tried it out yet but thought I'd share.
Have you tried the Hikenture Pillow, available for 23 $ on Amazon Canada? Realy confortable with a fluffy top. A little bit bigger than the Trekology (for comparison the 2.0 version of this on is 22 $ on Amazon Ca), but it has this foam top that confers more comfort! And if you don't mind about space in your backpack, the Therm-A-Rest compressible Pillow is also a choice of comfort and light weight (not ultralight but eventhough quite light), almost like your home pillow!
Justin Outdoors 1.Cut the stuff sack off I just put it in my foot box of my quilt 2.made it about 3 inches smaller and re sealed it. 3.cut the foam and the black mesh to match the new size.
Hey Justin love your reviews man! I just found the best camp pillow ever!! The Quechua Helium pillow by decathlon!! Awesome pillow! Good size, removable washable cover, air bladder with memory foam top, bleed valve, packs small into its stuff sack, lightweight, durable and affordable and very, very comfortable. Fits all the criteria for a great camp pillow. Just happened upon it. Would like to see your thought on it too if you get your hands on one. Only $14.99!! Worth $49.99 in my opinion. Nemo fillow is its only real competition and i personally like the quechua more than my fillow. Hike on!!
@@JustinOutdoors Lol..Awesome to hear man! Yeah i realized it does lack a few features that would make it definitely stand out above the rest. But for a budget camp pillow i think its right up there with the trekology 2.0! I know your from canada too and i just recently saw an awesome pack from neck of the woods called the "northern ultralight sundown pack". Kinda like a z-packs pack or palante, hyperlightmountaingear style pack. Amazing quality and features. Worth a look if you haven't already seen it.? Expensive but worth it i think, i def want one. But i really like that rei 55 liter pack you got too. Tons of water bottle storage. Very nice! Thanks for the reply! Always enjoy your insight and breakdowns! Stay safe man! Hike on!
@@JustinOutdoors I just ordered one and had them print a map that I uploaded of the North Country Trail through the UP (upper peninsula of Michigan) on it. Excited to see how it turns out and if it works for me in my hammock.
I luv my Sea to Summit Aeros Premium (L/4ozs) it nestles nicely into the hood of my Nemo bag, I’m a side sleeper. At home, I usually have two pillows…was a little concerned when I first got the pillow, but have slept many nights with it and it’s comfortable. The only thing I wish is that Sea to Summit made a case for it, I bring one from home.
Justin Outdoors please post up when you do. That it’s my first choice for comfort but unfortunately no strap and Velcro would not adhere to the fabric either.
Breathing gymnastics 😂 I have the trekology and it works well for side sleeping but I'm really curious to try the exped down topper pillow.. could you consider in your pillowaton part 3?
I'll take a look at it! I've tried a few down topped pillows and the problem I have is that down is just so good at compressing, so I find the down doesn't provide much comfort improvement.
I'll make sure to talk about down topped pillows in Round 3 and will try to pick one or two up for the video! I sometimes forget to include some of the analysis and results from my testing "behind the scenes".
Excellent review as always. I’ve been using a travel pillow that I picked up at a home goods store. It’s like a regular pillow, but it’s mini, but is a little too heavy for ultralight applications, so I’ve been looking for ultralight comfort and have yet to find it. This review will help!
Have you seen Trekology’s Aluft delux? I think it has all of your preferences in one pillow. It looks like the 2.0 with a foam cover. I’m about to order one for myself to try out.
The airhead has gone up a bit in price it looks like. Still might get one, got back from a trip friday and I had decided that I needed a better pillow to finish an awesome sleep system. Your video is just perfectly timed. It was the same way with the ghost whisperer vs Decathlon down jacket video.
@@JustinOutdoors you have helped greatly, thanks man. Keep up the great work!!! Your review videos are the best!! Not that your others are bad or anything.
I am going to use a Loksak - Opsak for a pillow, it weights 1oz, holds air well and not very noise. I'll use my buff to comer and will store my puffy in it too.
The pillows Ive used feel like Im sleeping on a baloon and not a pillow. They also feel like they wobble or I'm going to fall off it. I recently saw the Nemo Fillow Lux and it seems great, but it still looks like it will feel like sleeping on a balloon. I also need a proper height. The non-inflating pillow remind me of the crappy hotel pillows that I can never fall asleep on. Way too soft and I just sink in - The opposite of a balloon pillow My pillow at home is dense memory foam
They released a new model about 1 month after I did this video. That's why the one I reviewed was on sale I guess! I'm going to have to grab their newer model and check it out.
@@JustinOutdoors Cool, thanks for the reply. I just checked Amazon and that Trekology Ultralight 2.0 pillow got 4.5 stars and comes in 5 colors for only $16....not bad. Thanks for the review!
i have the Nemo Luxary. NOT elite luxary just nemo luxary and i love it. yes comfortable but i RALLY like the schock cord back to stuff a shirt in there for more loft. im 6'2" and sle5p side and this gives me extra loft. ALos i still the the EPEd and had it for years and YES i loved it. only issue i had was i needed more loft. if expe made one that has a "stuff area theyd compete with nemo
@@JustinOutdoors if you made your own you could add a pad strap for a pillow that doesn't have one but you do what works for you if someone else likes my I idea then it wasn't a waste of time to pass it on
Ooooo, interesting! I have two friends who recently started using Cpaps. I'll have to pick their brains a bit and see if they are willing to be test dummies this summer on some of the trips we are going on!
Any comment on the temperature differences? The Fillo looks good, but I'm a hot sleeper and it looks like it might be on the warm side from the insulation. Just getting my first set of gear together, thanks for all the content mate!
Have you seen the trekolagy aluft duluxe it looks like the airhead but with a better valve and removable cover plus comes in at 160 g I can't see any reviews on it but it looks like it could be just what you're after
Have you ever tried the Trekology Aluft Delux? That's what we currently have. We were thing about trying out either the Filo Elite or the Trekology 2.0. Thoughts?
Sadly, the price on the Air Heads went back up. The Air Head Lite is back up to $29.95 and the regular Air Head is now $24.46, which is still 30% off, but double it's previous $12 sale price.
I'm using a fairly old pillow in my bedroom and I'm not sure of the brand or type. I'm actually on the lookout for a new pillow but really haven't found anything I really like!
At home, I've used over 30 pillows in the past 23 years. None has given me better sleep than the MyPillow (large) I currently use. If I go anywhere by car overnight, it goes; However, it's not backpackable... which is the reason I'm here.
I dont know why all pillows don't come with pad straps. I have a trekology 1 that I put inside my down jacket, then place it into a pillows case I made with pad straps on the bottom.
A lot of complaints on Amazon about the trekology 2.0 deflating after only a few uses, they need to work on reliability, probably just need to improve the valve?
I think it is partly user error with the valve. I have messed up using the valve a few times and had the pillow deflate on me. But being susceptible to user error is still a con and is a reason I like the Sea to Summit valves the best.
@@JustinOutdoors I have the Sea to Summit Etherlite XT insulated pad, but I’ll try the Hikeology first (possibly a more reliable/user friendly valve than the trekology?) since the strap will keep it locked in place on other pads I may use too, and may then try the Sea to Summit Aeros Premium afterwards? 🤔
Remember, guys, if your pillow likes to scoot its boot in the middle of the night, then judiciously painting some polka-dots or stripes on said underside in leftover seam-sealer will give it much more traction, & you may find that's enough to solve the issue on its own. 👍
Do you plan to do a 2021 review video? Also, the thermarest airhead pillow sounds very crinkly in this video. Is there a reason you didn't talk about that aspect? Thanks for the great pillow review videos!
I do plan on a 2021 video! I didn't find the airhead to be that crinkly when laying on it. Not noticeably anyways. The new airhead version is quite crinkly though!

Take care.
You should check out the Exped Air Pillow XL. That's been the best pillow I have found.
First Round 3 submission of the day! Under 100g is a nice feature! Have you attached shock cord or anything to the side loops as a pillow attachment? Love that they included those.
Excellent video, thanks! I was on the fence but will be getting a Nemo Fillo now.
Love your review. One possible thing to add is the size the pillows pack down to. When you have the shot of the pillows with their weights and prices you could then show them packed down. The foam must make the hybrid pillows less packable???
I always forget that! Third times a charm. haha
Great video, as always! My heart breaks for my precious X Pillow, but it’s good to see the fillo get so much love!
Thanks John! Nemo hit one out of the park with the foam they used for the topper. Whatever that is, it should become industry standard (maybe a bit lighter).
@@JustinOutdoors Agreed!
Thanks! I've had a couple recommendations for the dreamsleeper and will definitely have to check it out in round 3!
Well done. Great review. I just got the Nemo Fillo free with a Nemo mat I purchased. I don't really like blow up pillows but the Fillo I'm
really comfortable with and it's
weight. Before that I had a pillow slip made that slipped over my mat. I just stuffed this with my clothes which was ok.
I couldn't go back to no pillows. That's awesome they sent a free pillow with the pad! Which pad did you get?
From your suggestion previously I purchased the Treckology 2.0, it's great. The stretchy material is nice, small package when deflated, the grip on the bottom and mattress band is very helpful , I bring it with me for hotel use to get the perfect height. Now I want to try the Nemo Fillo.
I got the Nemo Tensor Long and Wide and the Nemo Fillo pillow valued $59.98 all up for $254 AUD, which was sale price at Paddy Pallin in Perth on Easter Monday. Pretty happy with that deal
great deal!
How do they work together? I just ordered the nemo pad. Looking for pillow now lol
Exped down pillow. Phenonally comfortable and warm.
The Nemo fillo was the last pillow I purchased. I took the bladder from it and paired it with the Thermarest down pillow. That setup seems to work for me both tent and hammock camping. The foam pad was just too firm and smelly.
I tried to spend one night on the Klymit X, and couldn't do it.
Sent it back!
Dinh 71 yeah that pillow is worst ..I have using that since one year and about to buy new one.
It'll probably be coming later this summer!
You and the comments helped me dodge a bullet with the Klymit X pillow, thanks.
I didn't find the Air Head noisy. Hmmm. I'd return it as it sounds defective to me.
Thanks Midge! It's been fun evolving than channel over the past 8 months. I'll have to try and find that bugnet video!
@@JustinOutdoors I just found the video again, it was Motivated By Mountains channel: th-cam.com/video/aHRUxtssnnU/w-d-xo.html
Yup! Check out the Round 3 video!
I love the Nemo fillo but didn’t like the weight so I did a lot of modification to it . It’s still just as comfortable but only weighs 121g now :)
What did you end up doing to it!?!
Justin Outdoors
1.Cut the stuff sack off I just put it in my foot box of my quilt
2.made it about 3 inches smaller and re sealed it.
Hike on!!
I have the Quechua on my list for Round 3! I'm going to try and convince Decathlon to add a pad strap first, haha.
Hike on!
Have you tried the Dutchware Argon Pillow? Only 60 grams. Also can print custom image on pillow. Probably made more for hammock users than tent users.
I haven't but I'll check it out! Thanks for the recommendation!
@@JustinOutdoors I just ordered one and had them print a map that I uploaded of the North Country Trail through the UP (upper peninsula of Michigan) on it. Excited to see how it turns out and if it works for me in my hammock.
Thanks for the detailed review! What is in your opinion the best pillow for back sleepers?
I like the Trekology because it is still stable when deflated quite a bit. The Nemo Fillo with no or little inflation would be a good option too!
Justin Outdoors Thank you!
I've just been using a stuff sack filled with my extra clothes lol . i think its time to upgrade.
Wow, really nicely done. I look forward to more of your reviews.
Thanks! :)
Great video and my top 3 is the same as yours. I’m sticking with the trekology however due to weight and the STRAP!
Ya, I'll be sticking with the trekology as well until I can get a strap attached to the Air Head. The strap makes such a big difference!
@@JustinOutdoors valid point, this is why your testing videos are much appreciated before going out and having buyer's remorse 🤦
I'll make sure to talk about down topped pillows in Round 3 and will try to pick one or two up for the video! I sometimes forget to include some of the analysis and results from my testing "behind the scenes".
What’s the best one for side sleeper? Thx.
This is the content I came for!
Excellent review as always. I’ve been using a travel pillow that I picked up at a home goods store. It’s like a regular pillow, but it’s mini, but is a little too heavy for ultralight applications, so I’ve been looking for ultralight comfort and have yet to find it. This review will help!
Glad to help!
Have you seen Trekology’s Aluft delux? I think it has all of your preferences in one pillow. It looks like the 2.0 with a foam cover. I’m about to order one for myself to try out.
Testing it out and will be making a video soon!
The airhead has gone up a bit in price it looks like. Still might get one, got back from a trip friday and I had decided that I needed a better pillow to finish an awesome sleep system. Your video is just perfectly timed. It was the same way with the ghost whisperer vs Decathlon down jacket video.
We'll see if my next video is perfectly timed as well! haha. Glad to help!
I'm curious to hear how it goes, let me know!
Have you ever reviewed the HEST camping pillow?
The pillows Ive used feel like Im sleeping on a baloon and not a pillow. They also feel like they wobble or I'm going to fall off it.
I recently saw the Nemo Fillow Lux and it seems great, but it still looks like it will feel like sleeping on a balloon.
I also need a proper height. The non-inflating pillow remind me of the crappy hotel pillows that I can never fall asleep on. Way too soft and I just sink in - The opposite of a balloon pillow
My pillow at home is dense memory foam
Nemo fillo elite FTW!!!!
Do you like it more than the regular fillo with the thick foam topper?
Can you check out the zoobelives self inflating pillow it’s stuffed with foam and air mix
Great pillow talk!
Great video mate, I really like it from the 12th minute on and I hope someone makes the 6 point pillow
Thanks! I'd be the happiest hiker in all the land if they made that pillow!
Inflation and deflation a "breeze" - I would imagine that would apply to all of them and not just the Exped Rem.... : )
haha, good one
@@JustinOutdoors ; ) great work man!!!
Great review...the link for the Air Head is for a $40 model at REI...still, good review. I hope I can find the one you reviewed.
The Klymit Drift pillow is excellent at $30 large size. Shredded foam, not an air bladder.
The ThermaRest AirHead is 50 € in my country everywhere(!)
You got it for 12 $ ... crazy
i have the Nemo Luxary.
You did an awesome job editing this video !
Thanks man! I'm pretty happy with how the edit came together! Little improvements every time :)
@@JustinOutdoors Quality stuff bud !
Feature#7 a removable easy clean pillow case
Maybe microfiber or something else quick drying
I think I'd take some weight savings over a pillow case. I've never actually had any problems with a pillow getting stinky!
@@JustinOutdoors some of them look like they could use one but I suppose you could use a t-shirt
@@JustinOutdoors if you made your own you could add a pad strap for a pillow that doesn't have one but you do what works for you if someone else likes my I idea then it wasn't a waste of time to pass it on
I would love to see an episode on Cpap equipment for backpacking.
Ooooo, interesting! I have two friends who recently started using Cpaps. I'll have to pick their brains a bit and see if they are willing to be test dummies this summer on some of the trips we are going on!
Great reviews
Will help in choosing our upcoming purchase
Any comment on the temperature differences? The Fillo looks good, but I'm a hot sleeper and it looks like it might be on the warm side from the insulation.
Just getting my first set of gear together, thanks for all the content mate!
The ones with foam toppers will definitely be warmer.
Have you seen the trekolagy aluft duluxe it looks like the airhead but with a better valve and removable cover plus comes in at 160 g I can't see any reviews on it but it looks like it could be just what you're after
I'll have to check it out!
Great review! Thanks man! :)
Have you tried out the new model of the therma rest airhead? The one in your videos is not available anymore on their website that I can find.
I haven't yet, it's on my list but I probably won't be able to until later this summer and into next fall!
Any thoughts on the Trekology Camping Air Pillow? It has a cotton cover that appears to have more cushion similar to the frankenpillow you created.
I wish they had included a pad strap!
Have you ever tried the Trekology Aluft Delux? That's what we currently have. We were thing about trying out either the Filo Elite or the Trekology 2.0. Thoughts?
I have! Check out the Round 3 video!
@@JustinOutdoors 😂 yeah saw this after I posted this
Sadly, the price on the Air Heads went back up. The Air Head Lite is back up to $29.95 and the regular Air Head is now $24.46, which is still 30% off, but double it's previous $12 sale price.
Pretty unfortunate timing! That was an insane deal.
I am on lookout for a good pillow (like the Air Head), but for the bedroom. I want to know what you sleep on at home, that compares to the Air Head.
can you review the decathlon forclaz trek MT500. Its an invlatabel pillow with a foam layer for only €16,-.
Nemo is amazing!!!!!
Super darn comfy!
Great review Justin👍
Thanks Rick!
Remember, guys, if your pillow likes to scoot its boot in the middle of the night, then judiciously painting some polka-dots or stripes on said underside in leftover seam-sealer will give it much more traction, & you may find that's enough to solve the issue on its own. 👍
Thanks Justin! 👍👍👍
My pleasure!
