Wow much better design than the previous clip ons for the SF/OG
A good trick to get the grips off, is to use an air compressor if you have one. and use an air blow gun. love how your bike is turning out so far.

Your bike is lookin good man. I like the tail tidy, I'm still not sure if I wanna do the turn signals in the tail light or have separate Yoshimuras. I'll be getting the SP edition when my dealer gets one in. It was a toss up between the black or the SP. The bronze wheels sold me! I thought about removing the rear fender/chain guard as well, think it might look good and shave a few pounds. The only drawback is splash protection for the shock. But I don't think that's much concern.
when you need to to pull the rubberhandles of you can use an air compressor and blow air in between the bar and the rubber , they come off easily that way even 30-40 year handles come of . Thank you for some great vids

I would be doing this (the lowest one possible) for improved aerodynamics. I have a Ninja 300 and plan on getting a new Grom, but I'm fully aware of its (less than)10HP. I believe the Grom can be a freeway cruiser with bolt-on performance parts and much improved aero. No cam, big bore kit, or engine swap necessary! Just intake, full exhaust (wrapped), good tune, ignition system, aero enhancements, slight weight reduction, synthetics, and 70mph should be easily achievable in more than just perfect conditions with my 130lb 5'7" bones. All while maintaining or improving Grom's awesome MPG. I had no problem hitting up to 48mph on a 32cc motorized bicycle. Thoughts from the experienced Gromsters?
although a year after this was posted but for anyone else looking through the comments, the issue with the above comment is that some states have a minimum displacement size for freeways. For example here in California the minimum is an engine with 150cc or more to go on freeways, the grom can go on highways and streets no issue but on the freeway you would need a cam, big bore kit, and other performance mods to get up to the minimum 150cc. Its really a matter of safety, if you can't get up to speed with the flow of traffic without having it at full pin on the freeway then no matter how much you "believe" in your grom it will not be a freeway cruiser with "bolt on " performance parts and "aero".
just got this in from Steady Garage. the big bummer was when i went to take the handlebars out of the box, one of the bars slid out of the packaging and hit the garage concrete and busted one of the caps off the end of the handlebar. lol >.
Yes, both ends of the cap are removable.

Question - Is the angle/rake of the bars adjustable, like closing them up for tighter storage clearances?
Yes, the rake is adjustable.

The bar on my yellow Grom are the ProTaper Honda Mini. It’s a nice bar, way cheaper than the clip on route too.
For the right side of bars looks like you removed throttle assembly without completely taking it apart? It’s just slides off? TY!
Yep, you just loosen the two screws and it slides off - you can't slip it off until you take the bar out though since the cables don't extend that far.

How do you like the handling with the clip ons versus the stock bars or pro taper bars?
Handling feels fine, control feels the same and a more familiar sports bike feel.
What speedometer do you have on your grom?
My '22 Grom has the stock speedometer on it.

Isn’t it confusing to have clip onswithout rearsets?
The bar position isn't too different than just having low bars. I have rearsets on the Monkey and normal low bars; I plan on putting rearsets on this bike once my new exhaust comes in, right now the stock rearsets hold the exhaust in place.
@@eastcoastish my plan on it is also clip ons rear sets and a custom exhaust, but I can’t justify 500 bucks on a clip on set (I’m in Europe and that’s how much it would cost probably) mojo customs is what I’m going for. Still dunno about rearsets
