I just got mine. If you just press down the volume knob for 4 seconds, it changes to volume changing mode. Definitely one of the best keyboards straight out of the box. Anybody have recommendations for what switches pair well with this keyboard?
@KlIIua I personally am not a huge fan of clicky switches, I prefer the linear ones. Although these blues do sound pretty good! It’s all your preference and what feels good to you 😁
Mine just arrived a few days ago. The keyboard's been great so far. I found out that you can change the function of the knob by long pressing it. Anyway, great video and really nice setup too.
@@KFCezikiel yes! I bought the keyboard and if you press the knob down for a few seconds it changes to controlling volume. Once it's set to volume you can just leave it and it will always be set to volume.
It sounds really good. The hard part for me is deciding if this would be worth it over a plastic keyboard like an RK for $30-50 less or if it would be more worth it to step up $30 to a V65.
@@sideoftech I'm looking very specifically for a 75% keyboard with a knob, no blank spaces on the right side, arrow keys aligned with the bottom row, decent switches that aren't scratchy red or brown clones, a darker color scheme, and shine through keycaps. Hard to get all of that in one, but I think I'm leaning towards and Aula F75 with a custom set of keycaps. Possibly transparent black caps with green lettering. Because why not? Puts me in like the $70 range. I could always get one of these really nice aluminum keyboards as a kit and get my own switches and caps, but that's going to put me in the $100-130 range easily. Decisions, decisions!

Nice review and detailed. I just ordered mine today and will receive it on Saturday. I do prefer tactile switches but will give a try to these linear ones. Any suggestion for tactile silent switches?
Hello! I’m not too sure since I have no experience with Xbox but I can tell you that if Xbox can take a bluetooth connection or have a usb receiver connected then it can run. Maybe buy on Amazon and utilize their returns if it doesn’t work out 👍🏼
Do you know what the debounce means on the keyboard software? I was trying it out and I know what it means on a mouse but I cant tell the difference when I set through different stages 1-5 Right now I set through stage 1 is this good?
Good review! Since you went to he trouble of taking it apart, it would have been nice if you could have done a sound test without the included foams, to see if it would go from thocky to clacky.
@@sideoftechYou´re welcome! I suggested it because on Alu keyboards, that is usually the case. Thocky with foams and clacky without them. Plastic boards may just sound hollow without foams.
When in wireless mode, does it have an obvious sleep mode where it doesn’t register key presses for a couple seconds? Also will using the knob wake it up or does it stay asleep?
I'll say the Yunzii one is much cheaper already pre-built. Get the GMMK if you have some more cash to spend, might even be better quality metal but I personally don't have experience with them.
I mean... The price is not insane but I would not call it a budget. Since keyboards range from 20-200 most of the time. 100 is like medium-end. Which is still not bad. *Note*: Your edit is so well done, keep it up!
Great video thanks! When you said you should invest in a more luxurious board, do you mean the skeleton? If you got some higher quality key caps and switches would it be more to your liking?
Thanks for watching! You can definitely go that route that way it’ll give you time to save up for each piece. The most expensive will usually be the barebones board so save up for one that you’ll be really happy with and you go from there!
Hi I m using dell xps series can you pls let me know is apple trackpad will work properly on my laptop and pls suggest which keyboard is useful for me to use on laptop
I don’t see why not, the keyboard is fully hot swappable. If you’re talking about re-keying, the board is VIA compatible so you can reprogram it to whatever keys you want!
@@sideoftech So i contacted Yunzii themselves and unfortunately there is height differences in the keys so yeah it doesn't look good. I will have to buy a different keycap set but i'm definitely buying this keyboard!
Nice review bro! I would like to ask you something, how is the compatibility with a Mac. I’m deciding between this and the YUNZII AL71 because they are on sale around 70 dollars, but I have a Mac and I’m afried it wouldn’t be the best option because of the compatibility
Thank you! The compatibility is awesome cus you have 3 options. Either directly connected through cable, Bluetooth, or the wireless dongle (which is what is use). Hope this helps!
What is the difference between this and something more luxurious? These is aluminium which is premium material imo. Would love to know the differences. Ty for the review btw 💙
Thanks for watching! Feature wise, honestly not too much. What really changes is the QUALITY of the premium materials. Some brands also add a spin to their products to make it feel more premium. Hope that helps!
It CAN be, but not my preference. Make sure to get some newer switches to prioritize shorter key travel and also be aware that there’s no function row and you should be good!

Honestly the stock ones are pretty good out of the box, but if you want a more premium feel you can't go wrong with some lubed gateron black ink v 2s!
i like the gateron milky red/yellows

I think - by far - the most underrated feature of this board, is the colossal battery
