That first performance by richie haven is literally what inspired me to wanna play guitar. Saw that at like 10 and right away knew I wanna do that.

Recently struck me that Neil Young song "Heart of Gold" had similar lyrics as Jimi Hendrix recorded song "Freedom", when I looked to see the dates of the two songs in relation to each other for possible links, I found that Richie Havens made up the original live version of the song Freedom while on stage at Woodstock after being asked to continue on stage to entertain in abscence of the scheduled bands delayed?

Fortunately able to attend Woodstock '94, great time and one rain storm to make it muddy for the next day.

My band was fortunate enough to get invited to play at the 2001 Woodstock Reunion.
VH1 was there and it went well...
I was really jazzed hoping to get some recognition but...
We all know what happened just a few weeks later😢.
    9/11.

Real History? 😂😂 Bands on the wrong days, in the wrong sequence, or missing altogether. Like CCR, or especially Ten Years After. Alvin Lee’s intro to “I’m going Home” on his cherry red, peace stickered Gibson ES-335 became iconic when the film came out. Only time I’ve been in a theater, & a band that performed on screen gets a standing ovation! TYA were THAT good. They stole the show, and don’t even get a passing mention. Real History? More like Sanitized B.S. “history”, for the too lazy to Google it.
