Friendly tip.. if it was mentioned and I didn’t catch it.. 18hrs is a give and take depending on volume and lights.. but owning this speaker the volume almost doubles in sound/power when plugged into the wall adapter. It’s an impressive speaker! Cheers.

I was a little hesitant to buy this speaker because most of the other “reviews” are not even real reviews, just either a little song sample or not even that (one of those “reviews” from others was just a video showing the front of the unplugged speaker, the front of the box and a price tag from Costco 😂, pretty useless hahaha)…Kudos for the great content 😊

Do you want people to compare it against the JBL or not? 😂 Samsung will definitely win when it comes to sound quality, JBL is great for boomy bass; both are great brands and there’s a need/use for them depending on what you want in a specific scenario. If I had more room in my place I’d have them both, and also a Sony and a Bose, but for practical purposes I’ll go with the Samsung for now 😅
Hi Is it possible to use this sound towet as a batteryless speaker and keep it plugged in (ac plugged) all year round? Or does it cause damage to the battery and risk of fire?
How does one connect this to a A/V receiver, if possible? I would like to use this in the house as an extra speaker but is it possible to use it full-timer along with the other surround speakers I already have?
I read somewhere that it can integrate with Samsung TVs and Soundbars. I ordered one of these babies and as soon as I get it I’ll test it with my TV and Soundbar and let you know how that goes. I’ll also see if it has an aux input since that could be somehow hooked up through an output from the A/V receiver, or via Bluetooth with an additional Bluetooth transmitter hooked up to your receiver’s output, but in those two scenarios you will need to buy additional hardware to expand your receiver’s connectivity (that’s where the limitation is, not because of this or any other wireless speaker) 😊
Can you tell me the difference between the st50b and the st5cb? Other then 30 watts and several hundred dollars more for the 50b over the 5cb i cant find aything else? Im looking for a budget unit and trynng to decide between the 40b and the 5cb cause the 40b is on sale right now

I am going to say with 99% certainty that no it will not work. A receiver will only work with passive speakers, not powered Bluetooth speakers.

If you don't mind a wire, get an rca to 3.5mm adapter then it should connect to any receiver with a line out.

Why does the remote not turn it on but it will turn it off???
IR so you have to have it pointed at the right spot
Same issue. Two different towers and two different remotes - neither of the speakers will not turn ON from remote but will shut OFF from remote.

it is but not reccomended they do make ones that are meant to be plugged into the wall. MX-T40

Samsung does make the MX-T40 which is powered.
