This story takes on the verb "pensar" and many of its forms (pensamiento, pensativo, piénsalo, pensando, etc.) This practice will accustom your ear to Spanish so you understand more every day. Yo vivo el presente. Por ejemplo, tengo pensado ir a Malasia. Mi amiga está ahí y dice que es muy bonito y que todo es barato y que la naturaleza es increíble. Si voy, te invito.
Ni pensarlo. No me interesa ir a Malasia. Prefiero ir a Oaxaca.
MMM bueno pues mejor piénsalo y me avisas.

I'm Irish. I can read Spanish at either higher intermediate, or lower advanced levels (depending on the circumstances). My ability to understand spoken Spanish is limited. It is not just the sheer speed at which Spanish is spoken. I also find that most Spanish speakers allow their voices/articulation to vary, making some words/phrases they say too quiet, to trail off or become truncated. I'll keep trying to improve at aural comprehension, but I honestly feel discouraged the majority of the time. Basically, a fluent Spanish speaker needs to think of a person from another country who is learning Spanish as a child. We speak clearly and more slowly to children.
I know how you feel. One of the things that helped me with my listening skills is watching TH-cam videos with the playback speed slowed down.
Do not be discouraged. Work on building your Spanish vocabulary. You will catch more and more Spanish. Learning a language requieres a lot of hammering. It takes time, work, perseverance and a positive attitude. Saludos :)

Immersion…..Yes, I totally agree that it’s very helpful and enjoyable when Ana explains the lesson or major parts of it in Spanish. Most of us have been following her enough to now desire to hear her…”mostly in Spanish.” She already does a very good job in her explanations.

Awesome! As a native English speaker, we use the word 'thoughtful' a bit different. To us, it means that a person is considerate in their thoughts about another person and not themselves. As an example, when a husband gives his wife a gift of something that she needs or could use. He was considerate in thinking about what she needs instead of giving her something that wasn't useful. He was being thoughtful. That's the meaning of the expression "It's the thought that counts."

Un punto de pronunciación que muchos hispanohablantes tienen es 😮añadiendo La letra "e" in frente de palabras que comienzan con "s", por ejemplo: school, state, skill, special, etc. Esperón que tus problem as con TH-cam desaparecerán🤞.
