Hellooo, I'm a spanish native speaker (i'm mexican), I feel very happy to see all this people learning this beautiful language. I'm learning english because I would like travel and not to use a dictionary everywhere I go hahaha. greetings and good luck for all of you!! if you need help, i'm here too :D Excelente video por cierto, acabo de descubrir tu canal y me quedé asombrado porque explicas las cosas con mucha energía y mucha claridad, muchos éxitos!!
Hola Fernando. Muchas gracias por escribir. Mira yo aprendí inglés cuando tenía 27 años. Me llevó como 5 años aprender pero algo que me ayudó mucho fue unos videos de engvid.com chécalos y espero que te ayuden a aprender. Saludos :)
You teach with the perfect mix of speaking Spanish and English, letting us figure it out on our own for a minute, and then filling us in. It's a wonderful challenge! We stretch our minds a bit, but yet you don't leave us behind if we don't understand immediately. Teaching is truly your gift. Thank you for sharing it with us!
And very clear enunciation. Many native speakers crush two or three words into one sound or mumble or are too fast, and it is very difficult to understand.
My high school Spanish "teacher" said the adjective is always after the noun, and she was such a horrible teacher that I had to learn Spanish from scratch. Thank you for helping me, Maestra Ana!
Back in school they had a Spanish teacher that could barely speak English, so 99% of the class didn't learn anything during Spanish class. I went to Colombia and I've learned so much that now I can pick out few words when people Spanish people speak. I even start thinking a little in Spanish and I'm glad I discovered your TH-cam page, because duolingo can only give you an idea of the language.
I studied Spanish as 3rd mandatory language in middle school in France 35 yrs ago. Now i live in the U.S, it's an excellent opportunity to review and refresh my memory (in French we have same nightmare in conjugation, gender, grammar). Our teacher was like you, very passionate and humorous. She encouraged us to fundraise and had enough to money to discover Madrid for 1 week. Thanks
There is a phrase in English that you prove to be flawed. It goes like this “those who can, do. Those who can’t, teach.“ You obviously can speak Spanish and you also are an amazing teacher. You can do and you can teach. Muchisimas gracias, espero que muchas personas comparten (¿) de sus videos.
You are possibly the best Spanish teacher I have seen and listened to!! I love the Spanish language and have traveled to many Spanish speaking countries. PLEASE keep up the wonderful work of teaching the beautiful Spanish language!!
Spanish is my first language. I learned English at age 5. I no longer speak Spanish and this video is a great way to dust off my Spanish language listening skills. Thank you!! With all my respect…there was one part of the video where you talk about descargar/“download” and the English word should be “unload”. For better clarification: We unload cargo and download information. I’m now a subscriber.
That is the case in English, we would say unload but in Spanish unload and download both can be translated in Spanish as descargar. Kinda crazy but that is true.
Thank you man for teaching in spanish. Some of us have to learn because we're in too deep. And the wisdom that you're giving all your old lessons is the wisdom that I need but I've been there for the last 13 years thank you God bless you Jesus loves you
I am a brazilian old woman, I like so much learn spanish with “burterfly” lovelly teacher Ana, because I practice my ears with English and learn Spanish. Thank you a lot. Hello, I am a Filipino with a little background of Spanish Subject in my college days. I am interested to learn more about Spanish Language. I like the way you teach. Your lecture is very practical.
Marina= port in this case. Descargar= unload or discharge cargo. Ni = nor / neither.....usually nor when following a prior negative in same sentence (i like neither pork nor chicken) super videos! Muchísimos gracias !
Always awesome lessons. If we had more teachers como asi, we’d have more bilingual people. Or more people like her in general the world would be a better place.
I can’t tell you enough how helpful this type of listening practice has been for me. I’ve watched and re-watched this more than 10 times. Each time I get more and more comfortable with the words and cadence. When can we expect more like this?
Just stumbled onto this, and love it. Gives me such warm fuzzy memories of being in high school Spanish class. I had a great teacher, and this reminds me so much of her! The balance of Spanish and English, and the speaking pace is perfection. Can't wait to start practicing again.
Thank you so much. I started following you years ago but did not get very far in my journey. I am back at it and feeling very hopeful that this time I will stick with it and really learn this beautiful language. Thank you for helping people like me who live in a rural area with not much locally available to practice and learn. God bless you!
Mucho gracias para tu ayuda. I am sri lankan. Actually many years ago I tried to find a good spanish teacher. Fortunately now I have. I like your teaching system. And I can understand your teaching. Thankyou sooooo much. 😊💖💖💖💖
Hablé un poco de español hace años mientras trabajaba en Juárez, México, pero se me olvidó mucho y lo estoy volviendo a aprender. Este video fue maravilloso... Tambien, creo que estoy enamorado;) Estoy en mi camino a Paypal ahora!
Spanish: Few sentences I know, and after spending hundreds of dollars on books and lessons by mail, simply, I gave up. Don't even think of Spanish as that easy to speak. Maybe I'm wrong. Well wishes to Spanish speakers and learners.
Hola Thank you for providing Spanish learning resources. I really like this type of learning resource. I have watched many times because it helps me learning vocabulary and comprehension. Can you please do more of this. Muchas gracias.
To anyone who has trouble keeping up sometimes, like the beginning: turn on closed captions! They're very useful here! Don't worry, you still get to enjoy the wonderful Ana! I find it useful to pause after Ana speaks, then speak it myself from the captions. Of course that is the "easy" way, and your goal should be to comprehend Spanish from the sound only.
Subscribed... you are the best teacher at my Spanish level, and still making it challenging. I love how you switch from spanish to english in your teachings... it is very helpful. Muchas gracias.
Hello Ana. Nice to see you again. I like your videos. I used to teach graduate level classes. You're a great teacher. My first language is English. I studied Spanish in high school but have not spoken Spanish for so long so I need help. My mother and her brother are from Mexico City, their father fought in the revolution and his parents came from Madrid to Mexico. So it's in my blood. I've been to Mexico and Central America numerous times and I love Mexican culture but having been born and raised in the US, Spanish doesn't come naturally. I'm working on it. Thank you for your hard d work.
I found that incredibly useful. I've been following your lessons for about a year, all of them are great. This delivery though with stories with explanations I found both especially useful and enjoyable. More stories please.. Thanks Ana
WoW! This is exactly what I needed. Hope you can give many more...I know many single words but cant converse with them very good. Verdad this is my calling. Really helped me.
The first Spanish word I learned was 'hundido' many years ago when I worked at the UK Hydrographic Office and receiving notices to mariners from South American countries. This was really nice to learn some more 'nautical' words. Gracias
This was in my recommended list, TH-cam must have known I want to learn Spanish😊. While this was advanced for me, I watched it because the instructor’s mix of English and Spanish made it pleasant to follow along. I subscribed, and look forward to watching the other videos😊.
BTW, you're my favorite Spanish teacher. And yes I'm a subscriber. IMHO, *_learning anything, especially languages,_* is always easier if you can find at least one person that understands the subject well and is relatable and respected. You're doing good work. Thanks for the help. I see people that have trouble learning languages and, it seems, those same people usually haven't found a good teacher yet.
Thank you Ana! I thoroughly enjoy your teaching style...I'm learning a lot. As an ESL teacher myself, you help me relate to my students. I would only say one thing, and it is only to help you, not criticize. "Espada"... sword in English has a silent w...pronounced sord. I'm sure that I make a mess of many Spanish words I try to use, too. At any rate, great video...thanks again.
Hola Professora! Llevo unos meses aprendiendo espanol. Gracias a ti estoy aprendiendo mucho :) Trabajo en una libreria hay muchas clientes que hablan espanol y quiero ayudarlos. Do you have a video about working in customer service?
Muchas gracias, Ana! This was great! I would love to see you do something like this with poems or songs. There are so many beautiful songs and poems in Spanish and I think you would translate them really well…I hope you like the idea and give it a try ..
I read in a Spanish grammar book, the adjective sometimes comes before the noun because it is not going to change.. it will be that way. as in humble house.. the house is truly a humble house..not changing..
Hello Ana, Happy new year to you! Always on point in your delivery. Learning Spanish has not been more fun. More favour in your endeavours. God bless you.
