That's another amazing transition from nasty, to tastefully, based on quality, creativity, and pure craftsmanship.
Dave, you're skill at sharing with people who like to learn is beautifull.
Thanks again

We live in Oklahoma and my father in law got block skirting on his. But his went even with the edge of the trailer. It looks so much nicer than vinyl skirting. You did a good job 👍✌️
I concur
TY
Super nice - should really block the wind from going underneath. Looks amazing.
Ty
Another good looking job. I've always been a fan of block. Thanks for sharing.

This skirting looks so nice!!! A well done job for sure.
Thank you! Cheers!
Turned out great. Good job.

That looks gratifying. Cool video, thanks

Looks good. That plastic skirting top trim strip was just a water and dirt trap. Good call to upgrade. Should get some of those low profile solar deck lights and mount them under lip for cool look at night and sidewalk illumination.
Sounds good
I'll try it
That'll look nice. I am eager to see how he dresses up the stair entry.
Great job you guys 💪💪👑👑
Love your work Great work !!
Thank you! Cheers!
Good to see you back on the Arizona build👍🏼
Thanks for using union labor when possible. Retired IBEW here!😉
I hear that

Wow impressive grouting work.
Thank you! Cheers!
Looks awesome

Looks really nice

Good job, that's the way to skirt the home.

Thank you! Im going to fortify my modular now cause the markets now left me behind and Odell is the father/ mentor youtube has so freely blessed my family with.

You can do it!

Boy that is so nice, Love the look. Do you go to do jobs in Arizona?
Your voice is very relaxing.
Oh thank you!
Good job. Where is that at? It reminds of Anza, CA.
Nice as always!
There are some stone shops near by that they get some left over powder from the cantera stone they work and cut. I Wonder if that cantera powder (pinkish-orangy) could be used instead of the color used for the concrete. I will consider making a test with it.
Interesting!

Nice

great job but I usually get the cinder blocks flush with the walls, but also anchor the walls to the new cinder block foundation, I know it is pretty tedious work but way better results to keep rain water sliding down and out of the house, and a mobile home sitting on actual foundations, and adhered to the block, it gets pretty price for my clients, but well worth the price in my opinion.
5" max rain a year here
If this is your job or close to
He covers good points

Welcome to Arizona guys!

Approximately what does this cost? I k ow it depends on the size of the home, was just wondering if a ballpark figure. It looks beautiful and I’d like to have it for my home. The stupid vinyl crap looks awful.
This skirt very well may last longer than the home itself!!
Probably
Is concrete skirting the same as that ?
How much would this project cost concrete and all?
So why was he knocking the inside middle parts of the blocks out? Is that to lock everything together w the mortar fill up? Thanks. Always enjoy your videos
Yes it creates a bond beam
And he said he put rebar in there. That with the concrete ties it all together.
Mr ordeal I think the only problem with that the cap stone on top if it holds water it may leak between the cap and wall and start to rot the wood
Good point, I considered that also.
My conclusion was caulking and less then one inch of rain per year.
That's not wood. That's "wood."
Looked a bit ehh, but with the colored mortar at the end looks awesome.
I concur
Ty
FYI, on most manufactured homes, the outside perimeter should be shored with framing at a minimum of two feet on center, even with the homes steel beam cantilevers those exterior walls carry 25% of the homes overall weight.
That's interesting
👍
Hey will that help in securing the house in bad weather.
Yes
I think that wall is tougher than the house.
Probably
. I was thinking I could use the crawl space as a shelter in extreme weather events
@@OdellCompleteConcrete maybe. Might need a roof for it though.
@@OdellCompleteConcrete "Everybody get down! Way down!"
@@OdellCompleteConcrete excavate a space under the house to slide a 40 ft cargo container under it and “BOOM” instant storm/bomb shelter!!
I need that done to my trailer. How much something like that cost ? I’m a disabled firefighter double amputee. Live in Kentucky
5500
Can I do this directly into the dirt on the ground or would I need to lay cement first?
On gravel
Quick question, I have a double wide mobile home and want to replace the cinder block for new once since the old one was not install properly. I made a few calls and the price they gave me was $8,700 to install new cinder block, materials and labor included. Is that about how much it cost?
Four sides? Sounds about right
So something I've been trying to figure out...is there a specific type of cinder block used for this or is it the same kind I see at the big box stores for a dollar each? Thanks!
Same stuff
Green helper making the mud 3:48
Yes
class act, got it, how come you didn tilt those top paver caps ??
I did but not visible
Now you can add a second floor without putting any new load onto the first floor walls.
Sweet
Did you slope the cap?
Yes, very little
What do you think about these methods of completely sealing the crawl space and putting insulation on the crawl space walls?
May trap moisture and dry rot
@@OdellCompleteConcrete Yeah I think they are throwing a dehumidifier in the sealed space.
or a whole house fan may work under there
will this keep an Armadillo out?
Yes
Nice job.. What the heck u doing in Arizona?
Living the dream
Is this close to your place in AZ.
Yes very close
99% sure that IS HIS place!
@@dskains Yeah it's his house, I remember the steps with the lights on the risers
Kind of easy putting it on a walkway.
Im interested on what you charge I’m a mason in Michigan . Btw great job
30 a foot
@@OdellCompleteConcrete is that linear or sq
I don't understand something. Is the home sitting on those blocks & bricks on the circumference or is it just floating above it and gap filled in with the bricks?
Just floating
@@OdellCompleteConcrete TY. So the surrounding concrete bricks are not acting as a foundation?
@@NotAvailable_na
No, there just to protect and insulate under the home
First
Dead heat
@@OdellCompleteConcrete He beat me by 2 seconds, I lost. 🤣
This area must not have a problem with ground settling causing the house to need releveling periodically. Where I live that style house would need access under the home to relevel at least every 5 years.
I have a crawl space access.
The 1' of compacted roadbase I set the house on is solid as concrete.
Would you consider coming to South Dakota for a job? 🤔😉
Yes
You should’ve made that pump house out of cement blocks, too.
I concur
@@OdellCompleteConcrete could it be completely wrapped in blocks?
Closer detail pictures would have been nice. Things look good from a distance, but it's what up front that counts....
OSS
That top raw of blocks is not staggered and looks really funny. I guess that's what happens when a cook and a union electrician try to do masonry work.🤣🤣
That's raw
Don't do vinyl skirting where Tornados roam....
Looks fantastic!!
That's for sure
*OSS for the OCC*
If it's not one thing it's another, _amirite?_ You're getting some serious mission creep on this job. Do you think it will ever be done?
Probably not
thats theres for many many years
I concur
Ty
Can you skip rebars?
Yes it's optional
@@OdellCompleteConcrete Could cinder blocks be put right on the sandy ground without a concrete floor?
Won't all of that weight on one side of the sidewalk cause it to sink on that side over time?
Not at 6"s deep concrete on top of 1' mechanically compacted roadbase
@@OdellCompleteConcrete Cool. Thanks for the reply.
This would not work where I live in the wet south, water laying on top of the cap against the siding would rot the siding.
The cap is sloped, in your conditions I would slope more
This is your place right?
Yes
water leaks are pretty rare on mobile homes?? except for a broken pipe?????
True
Why didn't you move to metro phoenix we could of been neighbors dude
I'm liking Prescott, what do you think of that area
@@OdellCompleteConcrete very nice 👌
@@OdellCompleteConcrete its very nice, but cold and snowy in the winter. It has become much more expensive with all the new buyers in the last 10 years. Hold off for about 6 to 12 months, pretty sure housing prices are going to decline.
Where is this? Looks a little dry.
Very dry
Bullhead AZ
DONT YOU WET THE CONCRETE BEFORE USING MORTER ON THE BASE [cowboys] looks to me
Yes I did
Why so far away.
NOTHING is getting thru that wall now.
I concur.
Ty
looks to me like water will stand and puddle on that cap
Not in southwest AZ
Agreed 👍
Why are you setting those blocks so far away from that house?? That's sad. I don't understand.
Just skirting
Hey chief I’m in Maricopa let me know if you ever need a man. Got my own tools too. Thanks love your videos I always learn something in them.
your new help needs longer shirts lol
Yes
This is a Horrible way to this. The block should have been set back under the house to allow the water to shed away better. The you have it. The water will bounce off the the top of block a rot the siding. Other than that nice job.
5"s of rain a year if I'm lucky
@@OdellCompleteConcrete ok not much rain in your area. A guy here in North Carolina had his set out like this. Lots of decay.

Possible dead heat
