Bolt Action kit bashing - veteran Fallschirmjager

- The kit bashing bug for Bolt Action continues to bite and in this video I outline how I went about building a veteran Fallschirmjager section for my Bolt Action late war German project.
As with my other kit bashing videos, I have used various bits and pieces from across four plastic kits by Warlord Games - Fallschirmjager, Grenadier, Blitzkrieg and USMC.
I built this section as I wanted to have a unit of dedicated veterans that would stand out from the rest of the Fallschirmjager units in my force. This has been achieved by using a whole host of parts from the plastic sets outlined above to create a unique and personalised unit. In the video, I explain which specific parts I used to build the individual figures within the unit.

Happy gaming and may your dice roll well!
Great conversations mate. Always great to seeing lots of variations in a unit
Cheers Dom! Certainly agree with this, with the versatility of the plastic boxes from Warlord Games its pretty simple to sit down and in a couple of hours have a very unique and personalised units :)
Great conversions! Deffo spices up your units love it.
Cheers Jonny! Definitely agree with this. Really very simple combining of kits to create units with a lot of character 😊
Great update. I like how you've used inspiration from real life in you miniatures.
Cheers buddy! I often browse through reference photographs to see if I can see anything unique or odd that I can bring to my projects :)
Another great job Ste, really like those
Thanks Sean! I'm really pleased with how they turned out and can't wait to get them painted up :)
Nice mashup! Brush varnish over the gaps to fill them, it works great!
Cheers Abel, much appreciated buddy! That is something that I have never tried before but am now intrigued......I normally use liquid green stuff to fill any gaps but I think I'll give varnish a go next time. Thanks for the tip! :)
Nice work fella, they look great
Cheers Nick, I have definitely enjoyed all this recent kit bashing and I'm pretty chuffed with the results :)
Very nice. Do t really do conversions or kit-bashing myself, takes me long enough to assemble and paint the basic figures! Might give it a go though.
Look forward to seeing them painted. Which colour/camo scheme are you using? I started some metal Artizan ones in their tropical uniform but I’d like to do one of each - tropical, standard camo and early ‘Green Devil’. Lots more to buy!
Thanks Lee! I definitely experience this too - after I have put together the units, I'm like 'hmmm.....now its time to paint them!' I have taken the easy option for my Fallschirmjager and have painted them up all in plain field grey jump smocks rather than use a camo scheme, allows me to get through them a lot quicker! I would like to put together a couple of sections in tropical uniform for North Africa and Italy :)
Try turning the rifle upside down on the loader
This is a great idea and one that I had never even considered! I've got a few more plans coming up for kit bashing so I think I'll be trying this :)
@@OnPointHQ or go from right shoulder to left hip or left shoulder to right hip.
Sweet idea. I've got some more kit bashing planned over the next couple of days so will look at a way of trying this 😊
