Honestly, I'd like to see Lee start looking into making a post blues-rock album or EP, it's clear he really enjoys experimental/heavily-effected sounds and long delay/reverb tails- and frequently sounds great when messing with such things. You're already a good blues player Captain! Expand those horizons!!
Best way to start your day is when you just made coffee and you get a youtube notification that contains the words: Chappers, Captain and blindfold. Cheers guys!
GODDAMMIT ROB!😂 the tone you didn’t like were the parts that MADE the jam special! That spacey stuff juxtaposed with the octave sound of Lee was awesome!!! Maybe it was because you couldn’t rely on your shred and had to pick long notes?😏 haha good jam guys!
Yep, it seemed pretty clear that he was looking for Boss. If they do this again (which they should!) they shouldn't be allowed to touch the top of the pedals at all when picking.
This is a great way to get inspired - throw a bunch of pedals on the floor, pick out a few with your eyes closed, and then start jamming. Thanks for the video.
Totally agree with comments below that Lee's playing is becoming super interesting. His willingness to expand the range of sounds and generally experiment is spot-on. He's close to Zappa-eque in this vid. Rob just comes across as reactionary.
How about a new blindfold challenge: modified guitars vs non-mods.... For instance, I have an ML3 Pro with Chopper T on the bridge and SD Quarter Pounder on the neck - would Chappers have identified the guitar just on the feel and the pick-ups on the sound?
...after all these years watching you guys daily as possible, I finally came up with an idea for an episode. Since I have a Katana Artist and a Mustang IV, I have been curious how the onboard pedal models compare to real ones. How about hooking up lots of the pedals offered as models in the Katana and doing a blindfold comparision to see if the Chapster can tell the difference between virtual and actual? Since they're all Boss pedals on the Katana, I'm sure Boss would cream over an episode like that... and what could beat seeing yer Boss cream?
i don't really like the soloing blind part...but the picking the pedals part...that's genius. i think you should do it every so often. pile a bunch of pedals in the floor and pick them out blind folded and then test each one out without the blind folds...see what sounds you can get. it might result in trying some pedals you wouldn't normally try and some interesting discoveries.
This is like plugging into the kitchen sink and being totally blown away. Now some boutique pedal maker will come out with a pedal called Kitchen Sink. Please send me a beta copy and we will call it even.

Cheers guys!
and then get an early morning overhead view of the Captain's crack!
+TELE6220 You saying you don't?
+Sideways Rain It's more addictive tbh.
Lee's tone. It's actually great. That Catalinbread and SubnUp is a winner combo.
It kinda makes 4 octave fuzzed signal as a result that sounds just incredible!!! Who knew!
Reminds me of Jack Whites tone on Bad Weather
“Feels like a boat? You would know, as the captain.”
You should have given Rob and Lee the chance to pick a tuner pedal and see them wonder why they don't get any sound.
I thought the same thing! That would've been awesome!
So I just learned that if you grab five random pedals and turn them all up, you end up with Prog Rock. Explains so much...
Yeah, but you also have to do the same with time signatures.
agahahahaha this is great. :D
The only disappointing thing about this video was that neither Rob or Lee put their hands in the hummus...
hahaha, I was waiting on that to happen! :D
Darn!
Pointless video best video
kinda interesting - each guitarist reacted differently: Rob quickly moved his tone back to familiar territory and Lee embraced his inner sickness!
I always said that Andertons was kind of like Top Gear for guitar nuts. This just confirms it lol.
We need more randomnessicity from you guys. It works admiraciously.
should have been 20 miku's on the floor just sayin
they could've plugged in the send return loop
i dont think more than 2 miku's into each other will basicaly just give yyou random miku
@@TheAdventChronicles You know Stockhausen probably would've messed with that in his experimental days aha
or just switch em out, after they picked the 5 , and both get 1 miku :D
Sneaky Pete :)
Was the Mayonnaise your idea, Pete?
Andertons Music Co Do you guys have to write this stuff off or does it go back on the shelves after that stomping?!
@@XaserII hummus 😁
I wasn't that tensed since watching Hereditary.
You guys should do a bugera vs their counterparts challenge
Love the sound Lee got - totally usable.
I've been to some Parliament Funkadelic shows that sounded exactly like that!
So have I
too right
Lee's sound had a strong Jack White Lazaretto vibe
Pointless video is what I keep hoping to see when I check your channel, those are the videos I come back to
5:45 sounded like a Deep Purple organ solo 😂 hats off to Rob there
The blind stomp is the best 😂
Just slam your foot down and hope you hit something.
While at the same time randomly changing the knobs.
Cap’s tone is just wow.
A pity they missed the bowl of whatever was in there! :-D
Yep! Would've loved to see Captain grabbing the new "mashed potato" pedal :D :D
Ohhh it's hummus :))))
Hummus Fuzz ftw! ;-))
There’s humus among us
Forget quack...Capt. Lee's tone has got some serious CRACK!
I’ve always liked Lee’s playing, but man, he is getting good lately!
This should totally keep happening. Maybe cluster types of pedals so they don't get three of the same type. Loved this video
Chappers blatantly cheating, cheking if any boss shaped pedal had the parametric Eq to avoid the Metal zone :-D
and for all his cheating ways he screwed up, I'm sure there's a moral there somewhere
Yep, it seemed pretty clear that he was looking for Boss. If they do this again (which they should!) they shouldn't be allowed to touch the top of the pedals at all when picking.
Who cares, this wasn't such a serious video anyway. It's just for fun.
It is miracle how Chappers instantly got his usual tone even being blindfolded!
I wonder if these blindfold challenge vids were the inspiration behind bird box
Rock’n roll happened during this video. Bottom line is, no one can afford to be boring. Start exploring new textures.
for shame chappers, YOU TOUCH IT YOU PICK IT!!
Should have been metal zone's only
Genuinely my favourite sound that has come out of Rob. Kinda QOTSA and chaotic
The tone the Captain had at 10:23 is phenomenal!! Sounds huge!!!!!
Just shows how something new can inspire your playing! The Captain was whammytastic on that!!
Some of the coolest unique tones in a while. Inspirational sounds makes me want to write!
The viewpoint from the ceiling was cool man! I really liked that!
"This one feels like a boat, interesting"
"You would know, as the captain"
Hahahaha how I love this bantering :')
Lee Fkn SHREDS with that bag of noise and it’s glorious! Go Cap’n, embrace the stranger side!!
Rob’s tones were SICK! I want those pedals!!!
Love that Lee is enjoying himself so much on this one
Pete's bass playing on that backing track is awesome!!
Me: jamming out so hard to that wicked lead he started off with
Rob: it's a COMPLETELY unusable sound...
Me: but.... :(
It is seriously the best I heard Rob sound. Awesome pedal combi right there!
Always so entertaining, BUT, how about 5 affordable pedals vs. Affordable multi fx unit, like Zoom g3. Keep it up! Thanks.
This is a great way to get inspired - throw a bunch of pedals on the floor, pick out a few with your eyes closed, and then start jamming. Thanks for the video.
"Cracking" video Captain.
The action crack cam!
I love the way chapters turned his pedals on and off with just a swift stomp haha
Great vid, although I would have loved to see that Bea-Honore-swap
I really like these random pedal board videos. I wish you guys did more of them
Loving the Lee octave tones!
Best blindfold challenge so far ! We need the random rig video : random guitar, random amp and random pedals
A bombastic sound from the Captain
At 13:27 Rob comes in with an awesome Robin Trower, tone. Hell Yeah!!
Guys, this was genius! Keep em’ coming!
Plenty of usable tones there. Sweet!
I really enjoyed this one. It was the most I've laughed in awhile!
posted early. 3/5 of chappers' pedals are currently on my board (caverns, unicorn, angry driver). i'm very excited to see the solo.
Lee, I think you DEFINITELY need to keep that sound.. Excellent!
Loved it. I wonder if this was fun or frustrating.
What combination of those pedals got Chappers that crazy sound at the beginning of the jam, at like 4:12? That sounded crazy awesome to me.
thats the premium content i subscribed for

A challenge worth re-visiting!!!
That jam was amazing.
I actually like the sound Lee got at the end.
It would be great to see if Chappers can tell the difference between otherwise similar bolt on and set neck guitars.
Lee's setup was great!
I actually love the Foxgear Synister!
Looks like you all have been down on your knees before. Kidding guys love your show
I would watch this as a weekly thing, and have head to head battles with everyone at Andertons
Love lee's tones
Such a fun video to watch, missing the Miku though. Please do a blindfolded video where you guess pedal or pod or amp
Why is Chappers wearing a hat indoors?
How about a new blindfold challenge: modified guitars vs non-mods.... For instance, I have an ML3 Pro with Chopper T on the bridge and SD Quarter Pounder on the neck - would Chappers have identified the guitar just on the feel and the pick-ups on the sound?
I love the Captain's playing now omg
Please do a demo of the new Orion amps as soon as you can get one.....would really appreciate that...
Please do this again!

I like the tractorslasher sound at the start there Lee. Real bushburner!
Best pedal video yet
Lee, you are wrong. This was amazing.
i was really digging the Captains tone!!
Nothing like a bit of blindfold shenanigans.
This was great!
Both are totally usable and awesome rigs :)
This. Was. AWESOME!
Glad the hat's back Rob
Best tone ever
So if any of us buy a pedal from Andertons and it arrives covered in a sticky white substance, we'll know why !
The pedalboard of God's!!!!!
Great video chaps

Never been happier to see a FF :D But this was an awesome idea.
"do the grabber thing that they had in buzz lightyear" Lee man what the absolute bollocks 😂
i am loving these tones xD
Very entertaining concept. Great vid.
By the Gods, Lee got his sounds good (for me at least). Captain Ho-Lee!🔥😂
Chappers actually picked a really nice, useful board!
Hey Captain, congrats on the new album Simulation Theory 😛
Dan Here and Mick Here should do a pick and mix with these and get some good tones!
This is like plugging into the kitchen sink and being totally blown away. Now some boutique pedal maker will come out with a pedal called Kitchen Sink. Please send me a beta copy and we will call it even.
Such a funny and cool video
