Great comparison! I’m thinking the mesa xl will be perfect for camping when it’s hot. Have the ambiance and cooking ability of a campfire, but without all the unneeded heat. Also just need small wood or a bag of pellets. As a fellow TH-camr, I really like your delivery. Clear communication, no unnecessary craziness, and simple set up.
This is the exact video I was looking for! Its so hard to tell the difference on the Solo Stove site because they all look the exact same size. Thank you.
Excellent and straightforward review. You answered any questions I had regarding the differences. Thanks for posting! Looking forward to seeing more of your content.
What a great review. It almost looks like the newer Mesas do not come with the pellet adapter insert but rather are built similarly to the Mesa XLs which have the pellet adapter integrated with the stove.
This was great. I bought 2 XL's for $150 at Costco. I only needed one for the porch and I could have gotten the campfire for $129 at tractor supply but thanks to your comparison; my math says I get an extra solo to add to my EDC in my Jeep for $20 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . Thanks Brotha.
I’d you had to only pick one between the campfire and the XL, what would you pick and why? I’m looking to pick one for small fires out while camping. I have a cooking stove, however wouldn’t be against using the solo for a meal.
That depends on how you are camping. If you are a backpacker then use the Mesa. If you are car camping then use the XL. If you want to use either for some type of cooking you can get the heat deflector as a surface.
Hi, so what are the real differences between the campfire & the Mesa XL? what are the benefits of one over the other and what instances would you pick one over the other?

i just ordered the XL and a replacement fire ring from the campfire so i have the best of both worlds!
thanks so much
Bro took a break from anchoring the 6’oclock news desk to showing us these stoves 😂😂😂
great review man
I was wondering about this specifically. THANK YOU

Came here for the Solo reviews and ended up wanting to buy the sterno goo and benzomatic torch!
Great video. Got the Mesa XL and want an option to cook, so all I have to order is the replacement ring for the Campfire stove.

Great comparison. Very direct and to the point and easy to follow. You are a natural at making videos.
Thanks so much for this comparison video, I was having difficulty choosing a stove but this video cleared up all my indecisiveness!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the comparison. I’d love to see them full of pellets, and compare burn times. Also, why not just light with the torch?
Torch uses too much propane to start the pellets.
Do you have a link for the torch?
Very good presentation
Very helpful comparison.

Good review thanks👍
thanks for the video! which one holds more volume the campfire or the mesa xl?
Can you do video for Campfire vs Mesa XL?
Probably. What things are you looking for between the two of them?
Hi, so what are the real differences between the campfire & the Mesa XL? what are the benefits of one over the other and what instances would you pick one over the other?
Simple, the campfire is made for cooking. The Mesa is made for ascetics. They each do their designed task well, but don’t crossover very well.
@@raymondr698why would say they done crossover? Especially if you swap the ring/stand?
Nice job
campfire vs mesa xl , which one is fuel efficient / burning longer with wood and wood pellets?
Mesa XL
@@discoveringincolor8572 Thank you.
Masa XL vs Campfire, which one has more wood pellet capacity?
They are the same.
Probably the Campfire but the Mesa burns pellets better.
Hello, I have that same table. Is it safe to operate the stove on the table without risk of the glass breaking?
Yes, just be sure to use the Mesa stand. It allows enough airflow.
Nice work
Thank you.
Any thoughts about which heat deflector to use on the XL ?
They just started selling heat deflectors made for both models of the mesa
Are these (specifically the mesa XL) safe to keep on a glass table top?
I’ve used the Mesa on glass with the stand and had no problem.
@@discoveringincolor8572 good to know, thank you!
For what they are, the price is way too high.
I emailed them they told me shouldn't had voted for Biden.....
