- Sorta remake of the "EVA-01 becomes light and is destroyed by TROMBE!" video. I just decided to go the whole way and just make a video of the fight. All of it was in one turn too, so that was pretty cool.

@@ursosentado that wasn’t Earth that was destroyed. It was called the black moon, and basically was where all of the souls sucked up by the 3rd impact were kept

Considering how Third Impact is basically an anti-AT field weapon, and how AT fields get stronger the more emotions the pilot has, I'd assume that the Third impact barely scratches the other pilots because of how overly hot blooded they are, unlike the semi-depressed people of Evangellion.
The power of Invincible/Fortitude overrides world-ending catastrophe.
@@Konh-Minh This isn't true at all, AT FIELDs don't get stronger the more emotions the pilot have and neither more hot blooded people are impervious to Third Impact.
@@kamatakun9055 It was sufficient enough for Shigeru Aoba to see through the illusion and force Rei to change from persuasion to swarming tactic. With the sheer hotbloodness of the pilots, they have a bit more time available (IIRC, five-turn limit), before they get tanged too.

I think Shinji's actually alright for that, since it's actually pretty realistic. I mean, if I were in his shoes, I'd be at least a bit hesitant. And who wouldn't be, given the only way for him to get his father's approval that he wants so badly is by fighting strange and powerful creatures wherein failure not only means death, but the end of the world and it's all his fault. No one really wants to have to shoulder that.
Also, I think in that latter part, he was physically unable to do anything.

No they wouldn’t, escaping a black hole means your faster then the speed of light. If someone can get away from earth in time they’ll escape the impact as the impact only effects earth

I think a lot of people not involved in the conflict did turn into LCL, as evidenced by the battle background in the latter half, but everyone probably went back to normal somehow after the fight.

Shigeru Aoba was able to run from Rei copies for a shortwhile, so... yeah.
Trombe overrides Third Impact, but cannot override Fatum's Despair
I wouldnt say Shinji does nothing. For about 80% of the series he was a kind whiny but he would still do the right thing when the chips are down it. He onlybecame what you discribed when the chips are down.
Also you talk about about how this game redeems Kira even though th Alpha series is what redeemed Shinji in alot of peoples eyes.
Actualy it is a realistic protrayel of kids who have the kinds of problems that Shinki does. Lots of people who work or know those kinds of people have said that countless times.
Is Shinji anoying? Yep. Is he unrealistic? Nope
Think MX was the last time we got End of Evangelion.... Movies aren't even finished yet, still need 4.0 so the Movie version is here to stay it would seem.
If you don't count the portable version of that game (MX), Alpha 3 is technically the last time we got EoE in main line SRW.

Yeah, I like Rebuild and all, but the series usually brings cool Eva stuff to the table that Rebuild can't really use. Particularly stuff like this, Unison Kick, Magorox, and the F-Type Equipment. But at least Rebuild did bring in some cool stuff in Z3.
Rei having 2 attacks made me cry. She had so much cool stuff in Alpha 3.
Yeah, she had so much offensive potential in Alpha 3 that I think she could've been a really good long-range unit if she had a damage boosting spirit.
It's really too bad she doesn't do a whole ton in Rebuild, so she gets stuck with those two attacks in L and Z3. But at least she makes for good support.

so they convinced Shinji to not cause the third impact by collectively beating the shit out of him
Actually, they just woke him up. SRW Shinji is well enough on mental level that the only option SEELE had to start a Third Impact was to literally knock him out before stuffing him into the entry plug.

Well, to my knowledge, you can regain your physical form after Third Impact if you have a strong enough will and I tell you, these guys have a *lot* of willpower!

This battle can really happened because of all those mechas under Bandai license.. so cool when there was an effort to prevent 3rd impact.. thats more realistic than only wait for Shinji's decision to stop 3rd impact (ref: end of evangelion movie)

That's true, and I feel it has a bit of a meaning, since Shinji and Kira have a mentor-student relationship in Alpha 3, I think. Been a while since I bothered with the story guide.

Ideon's pretty neat on stages with a lot of enemies, since the Ide Gauge increases by two every time it gets hit by any attack. Sadly, that isn't the case in this stage, since the only enemies are the MP Evas, the Eva-01 shown in this video, and the Dummy Plug Eva-01 in the last part of the mission. So while you could get the gauge up to around 20 points for Level 2 with a turn of the MP Evas whaling on an Iron Walled Ideon... (cont.)

For what it's worth Kira did complain and preach about peace to much but at least he actually did fight and pilot the giant robot.
So do Aoba, Mokoto, Fuyutsuki, and Ibuki remain LCL for the rest of Alpha 3, and speaking of LCL, did everyone else who aren't the Alpha Numbers turn into LCL, if so, what happens to them?

I had perfectly intended to end it with TROMBE! But I never upgraded the Aussenseiter's attack too much. It all went to Daizengar. But the leaving it with 83 HP was too silly to cut out.

A satellite-like massive hammer I can understand, but I can't see any reason for a mecha riding a horse. Can someone please explain it to me? Didn't see this anime

@@ursosentado It's a long story, in short they are close buddies and also veterans against aliens in the first place. The yellow haired guy really likes horses and the white haired guy is a German samurai, so why not

Yeah, when I was asked to do the video mentioned in the description, it mentioned beating the Third Impact with Trombe!, so I attempted to do the same here. Although, finishing with Goldion Crusher is usually worth it for HIKARI NI NAREEEEEEEEEEE

Pretty much, though I generally don't use Ideon a ton anyway since I'm not the biggest fan of sending it out to get beaten up, especially if it takes too much of a beating at Level 5, since its destruction then means game over. And a lot of units can wipe out masses of enemies anyway with little to no setup, like Eva-01, Mazinkaiser, and Banpreios. Though, Ideon feels really good when you do set it up...
I don't remember if you see those four after the mission, but they might've come back just because they're on your side, and that's always cool. I actually don't even think SEELE is in the Eva storyline in Alpha 3, since a lot of Eva's events happened in Alpha 1, I believe.
Eh, I don't mind Kira doing the finishing blow. I mean really, it's Super Robot Wars, does it really matter?

...by the time you get to Level 5 with 60 points and ready to murder everything with Ideon, the stage could probably be beaten quicker with everyone else. Not to mention, I think the Ide Gauge gets reset in the final part of the mission, so it becomes meaningless.

Honestly, for as big a deal as they make out of the "God EVA" or whatever it's supposed to actually be, I don't think I've ever had trouble with this fight, even with his double move and huge range. And he's a joke compared to the final battle of Macross 7.
Yeah, it's a pretty pathetic fight. The AT Field means absolutely nothing to the player side, the MP Eva minions are easily ignored, and the attacks are easily avoided.
And oh geez, now I'm reminded of the Macross Plus stage where you have to fight a bunch of X-9 Ghosts. Those things are awful.

I never saw a problem, really, just put a Guard on it, defend every action, and maybe throw in a supporter or two to help just in case.

kokojepry That's not really at all specific, especially when this game has so much music. Uhhh... the stage before this one just uses Gundam SEED music in its events, I'm kinda sure, and the stage after just uses original stuff. There's a second part to this stage that uses Ode to Joy there and nowhere else, though, so maybe that's what you're looking for?
