- Looked around and finally found a local tractor!! A good friend wanted a fast hitch, and I needed a few parts for my C. Had no idea it would run or that it might possibly be the next project. Tume will tell for sure, come along for the ride as we dive in closer!!

Man Nelson, both of those engines sound sweet! I can't really say which one I would keep, I guess I would probably pick the Super C if it has the nicer features, but I would probably rather leave the other intact and resell it and find another junker for parts. I just have a hard time parting out good machines. For the tanks, I put an inlet screen on the sediment bowl in the Oliver and had really good luck with it. It sticks in the top of the sediment bowl like a stand pipe, but you don't lose that fuel capacity from the bottom of the tank. As long as they don't leak just try to get the heavy rust scale knocked out and you should be good.
I'm guessing the gap was too small between the lip and the boards, and the ramp wouldn't drop down to the ground. You're not the first person to make that mistake...

I went back and forth over the weekend deciding. Spolier... but I chose the super c, mainly because it has fewer issues and will probably run like it is for a few years. It does smoke some, but I think it may get better after it's run more. The other one may end up being a show tractor for my grandson possibly😉 But you know me, hard to say for sure!!
I can't wait for you to see my solution to the tank rust, well, at least a start of it!! 🤣🤣 I did exactly that and ordered one of those stand-up screens. So thankful someone I know has used one, I cleaned the tank Saturday with my methods and was really pleased with the outcome. It's still soaking now, so time will tell!! Thank you, Evan, for the heads up.!!
Oh boy, bingo. The main reason I added the extra length to the angle iron was to allow me to stagger the bottom board back some for the angle approach of the trailer. My suggestion is get one set up close to exactly how you want it and list or trade the other one. There’s always the Threshers Auction. It’ll be a runner so you just might make your money back on it.
After lots of debate and searching. I think the super c will get the attention first. They both smoke, but it has way less issues at this point than the C. Fired right up and sounded pretty nice. I guess I missed your mistake on the ramp. The other Super C was a little harder to start but sounds pretty smooth
Thank you Mr Robert, I have got to hook the choke back up on the super C but they both have their own little issues it seems. I had panned to stagger the bottom board back a few inches to allow the ramp to swivel down. I completely forgot it and when I finished, it was about 2 ft off the ground 🤣🤣🤣 I think the super C will get the attention first. Parts are plentiful and still pretty cheap for those tractors, fix them both, worth more to sell it running and whole than by the pound at the scrap yard after it’s stripped. 👍 😂 Had to bust your chops a little Nelson, but you do seem to have a good knack for finding plenty of reasonably priced stuff. 👍 The grumpy farmer is most definitely going to have something to say about that yellow reflective shirt if he watches till the end.
