The continuous of majore updates is why i'm still using my pocket 4k till this day
Happy Blackmagic still supports the 4K version.
I would argue the biggest update ever was with the introduction of BRAW. These are still minor updates in my opinion.
BRAW was a big update as well 🙂
This is the swan song of updates. Like a star going supernova as I predict all the original MBPCC versions are about to be obsolete as far as firmware upgrades. This is it. A nice parting gift.
NAB is around the corner, lets see what Blackmagic are planning for the future.

ProRes over 4k dosen't exsist from my understanding
If only they fixed the dequeeze options in the CInema Camera 6K

Is the one in the right on the previous update? My 4k is on 8.1 and has vertical recording options and calibration options.
yeah the vertical is from the last major update, its been on there for quite some time.

This update messed up something with the lut. I have no idea why all the luts are so oversaturated now im downgrading back to 8.1. I was editing off of an ssd with applied lut from camera and had already done grading it in davinci. after the update and connecting my ssd it gave the same oversaturated and overcontrasted lut to everything. Im downgrading to hopefully get back the old lut feel. Can you please test the difference?
Screen WB calibration has been around for awhile, did you only just discover that?

@simonc4764 that was because it updated by it self, and that it have never done before.
I can't update my Pocket Cinema Camera 4K. It's stuck on Version 8.1.
Edit: I was downloading the wrong file from the Blackmagic support page.
Did you download the new update from Blackmagic homepage ?

Please be aware that as if now 8.6 is Public BETA. Update with care.
It’s a BETA, but I had no problem with the update🙂 I’am sure it will be out of BETA around NAB.
Do not update your camera on 8.6. Problem with panoramic video. Sticks.
