Thanks for the video! Now you have me thinking about a couple Quincy 210 compressor air ends I have sitting in my barn. I picked them up from work years ago thinking about using one as a backup for shop air. Maybe worth selling or parting out. Both still work fine...
Those flywheels ..... arrg. I also would hammer machinery wedges into the split point, but they were still awful to pull off. The unloader towers ... you can use a pipe wrench as a spanner if you catch that square boss under the diaphragm part.
Great video and eye opener. I have some Quincy pumps I've collected myself, other than the 210 and 325 I use. 2) 308's, 310, 370. A few things for a 390.
Another “value” that went unmentioned is the value of your business being known as a place to save money via affordable used parts and not a place that sees the answer to every question as “let me sell you a new pump.” “Hey, that Guru went out of his way to help me minimize my cost” is fantastic word of mouth advertising. Great episode.
Thanks!
thank you so much!
Looking forward to using your parts to put together a good compressor for my shop.
