These are some of my favorite videos. The two of you spending time gathering your ingredients, preparing them and eating while you laugh together and enjoy life. This truly is what it means to live a life and feel alive. These are the times you will remember and reflect upon fondly 30 years from now.
Oh my goodness you and Ann are super cute together!!! I so much enjoy watching the both of you being so cute with each other. Ann should be your co-star in the videos...I love watching you both!!!!!! 🤗🤣😂🥰🇵🇭 Admit it....you missed Ann 🤗🤣🥰
Anne is so admirable! She's so genuine and just does her thing without trying so hard to be likeable. I like how she was so gentle with her niece. I hope popularity won't corrupt her. It's such a delight to watch the 3 of you just enjoying your afternoon activity. The little girl is super adorable and let's not forget cute chowee who doses off every 5 mins. The chicken, the pig, and goat also contributed to this heartwarming content. What a good fix of dopamine. Thank you!
This lady from province has a personality which is very impressive and responsible the way she handles those things with so much authencity. Bravo! Keep your good spirit and being you is something most girls here really admired you.
I retired from the military after 25 years in the great U.S.A; and still longing for my childhood environment (where you're at) you my friend is blessed to experienced the province living; where you're at is a hidden gem, with all organic fruits and vegetables; including the air you breath is priceless; that lady you're with enjoy the companionship; very genuine and beautiful gal! All the best Jonathan! Keep the videos coming!
It's so refreshing to see a guy who is genuinely just a good man to a woman and a child who are not related to him on TH-cam. Plus you're cooking a dish that is 100 percent humane to animals and much healthier too. I hope you make more fun memories in the Philippines.
The little girl is so caring and she makes me laugh! Your local friends make you experience what province life is like, and you're a good learner...Banana blossom/heart (puso sa saging) dish is just like ginataang nangka, labor intensive! Yet you seem to enjoy it!
Your videos always bring good vibes, Jonathan. It's a stress reliever. Thanks for loving the Philippines, you have no idea how much we appreciate it. Keep living the dream. Take care! 👊

These vlogs make me miss my wifes province in Pangasinan sooo much! We cant wait to get out of Australia away from the horrid West. I remember watching my wife & her sister slicing bamboo shoot so thin & talking in Ilokano, its so therapeutic to just sit back & drink empe lights & relax & watch. In late 30s it makes you feel 10 years younger instantly over there. I really think this Filipina really likes the way you are around her child (if it is hers) you are very respectful & kind mate.
I found your channel because of the previous video with her and this is so awesome! Gathering your own ingredients from the land and stirring up a dish with it, what a way to live 😍 This woman is really wife material, so kind, knows how to work the land and she's beautiful 👌 I really live in the wrong country
Wow, good to see a foreigner appreciating the simple, good life in the province. I am a filipino semi retired engineer who has been living almost my entire life in the city where I was born and raised. Would u believe I yearn to spend my last few yrs in a farm like this? I like the simplicity, of everything, the food, the surrounding, the folks, the trees, all homegrown, practically free.
Thank you for loving our country, respective our culture and people, and for shpwcasing some of the best the Philippines has to offer! God bless you, always!
Simple life in the Philippines give us a good vibe seeing you Jonathan. I can feel the happiness in your face having this countryside very exhalarating life. Keep it up bro so that you would feel how to become a Filipino and we're so proud and happy seeing you learning the way we used to. Kudos Jonathan 🇺🇲
Reminds of playing in the Philippines with so much freedom as a little kid. When I came to America as a young kid I was told a lot : you can’t climb trees anymore, you can’t throw rocks around, you can’t pee outside, you can’t pick the fruits off the trees, you can’t hunt the animals outside etc….so different. back in the days in the Philippines in the province we use to make lanterns out of empty coke bottles filled with gasoline and makeshift wick from worn out clothing. So when I came to America I would watch Disney movies and see kids in movies working in the summer selling lemonades and going house to house asking if owner needed help with their lawn to make some spending money. As a nine yr old, I had a great idea: I collected empty glass bottles, went to gas station filled them up and made a “lantern” out of them. My parents never mentioned anything about not been able to make lanterns. I went door to door trying to sell them and it did not turn out well, lots of scary looks. That was in San Jose CA in the mid 80s. I did not know any better back then and parents too busy working so no real supervision hahaha. Missing the Philippines from northern CA.
I don’t think you caught the part when you were climbing the tree and she was holding the camera, but she said good Tarsier. That’s like a tiny monkey! Lol.
Iya is so adorable. Her interactions with you are truly genuine. You and Anne are being good role models for her. Can't wait to see her future TH-cam channel. ❤
I see the little lady there is still absolutely adorable!!! I could enjoy watching this type video all day, especially if the little lady is in it. I really enjoy these type videos, it's nice you have some one that is teaching about their culture and you're enjoying learning about it.
The cute little girl is just so fascinated with you Jonathan hahaha! Such a sweet scene at one point when she was gently wiping off dirt from your arms, and clinging onto you just like a scared li'l kid finding comfort with daddy. Generally admired your coolness and this video episode's content especially. I guess you were flabbergasted when the lady asked if you want that roaming chicken (to be cooked with the vegs) instead of the other meat lol!! I do think she was serious about it...only if you gave her the "green light" haha! I bet she can freshly "dress" a chicken ("dressed chicken") that looks just like those you buy at the grocery. Such a simple but beautiful person she is!
Best experience for sure Jonathan! 1st time saw an American climb coconut tree! Bravo! Epic experience . U 'll learn more how Pilipinos really life is!
You are so blessed to have an interaction like this. The mother is an awesome cook and the child is so friendly. I would love to meet them during my trip to the Philippines this winter.

As always, I enjoy your videos. I especially enjoyed these 2 at Anne's, enjoying your time laughing, picking coconuts, cooking from the land and spending time outside in nature. Just loved it!! Enjoy your time with family back in the US!
You seem like you’re enjoying your experience living a rural life there. Living here in the States, I can still remember and miss my life in the province in the Philippines when I was younger.

Oh yeah.. there are always several things I notice when I come back to visit the states that would qualify as reverse culture shock… understanding what everyone is saying around me, AC… a lot of things haha
@@travelescapesOFFICIAL the day i got back to the US, I honked at someone to pass them on the freeway. I got the finger and tailgated for a couple miles. I forgot people are too sensitive here.
I am always waiting for your new vlog. Because I enjoyed watching them... Thank you and more power 🎉 God bless you always 🙏 Wowww ! You amazed me Jonathan , you can climbed that very high coconut 🥥🥥 tree ... So amazing 👌
It’s always fun watching your vlogs, the best life is the simple life and you can do that living in the province. As a Filipino we are proud that there are foreigners who enjoy living in our country just like you 😊👍
Its nice to live in the province, very challenging life but happy and good a lot of fresh vegetables and fruits with out money comes out from pocket..a healthy food..your daughter is so cool and helpful 😁
⭐️ You should know that coconut water from a young coconut (called buko) is sweeter when taken straight from the tree. It somehow loses its sweetness every hour that passes. The brown or mature coconut (called niyog) is used mainly to extract coconut cream (called gata). The first extract is called kakang gata- it’s the thickest/creamiest.
She’s good. Great cooking technique. She’s also quite intelligent. Definitely all-around hardworking. I love the provincial life. Kids can run around- no need for mobile phone games. They see nature; know where food we eat comes from. It’s the life!
I think you were born to be a probinsyano. Province person. I love the province life way better than the city. Not much pollution, noise car, bus, jeepney’s people. If you like little quietness. People are very kind, some are very shy. Most importantly we see happy. Filipino love foreigners interacting with them. You respect them, they will be your friend forever!but, don’t get to trusting too much. Study them first ; if you know what I mean, because not all are trusting people. There’s always a one bad apple in a basket. Just be careful, they will love you and respect you if not already. Much of them are very down to earth Filipino. It’s more fun in the Philippines 🇵🇭 Just have fun at the same time amping amping .❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@polgonzales I want to know why the Filipino people are still behind. Even raising a pig, they still use a leash. Like the 60-70s Wood to be used to make a pig stall Can't you find stables in that country? It's a suspicion from Thai people.
She is so down to earth. Her place reminds of when I visited my latino aunts and uncles in the countryside as a child in the summers. Thats exactly how they did it. Live off the land. And string beans are good 4 u, sir!
It’s different from the one you had from the carinderia coz that was made for selling at a low price, thats why no pork or shrimp. What she prepared you was a special homecooked banana blossoms in coconut milk as the main ingredient and she threw in available veggies and protein that could go well with it.

jonathan, anne could be your wife and aya can be your neice. you and anne have great chemistry together and she is so sweet and i can tell she likes you, you have alot of fun together and aya too has so much fun when your there. The strings beans race and climbing trees and eating together, i think that's why these 2 videos are most popular because of the chemistry between you 3. Plus the living off the land type and how good of a cook she is and how she prepares all her food from the land, the main reason i watched the first video was the thumbnail of a (cute) girl climbing a tree i said omg i need to watch this but while watching we see a different way to live then we do in America with fast food and microwaves, a more peaceful way with all the animals around, the dog who likes to lay down and sleep, a much more simpler and happier way of life.
This is her version!! It's a Variation of the a ginata-an na puso (heart)... well any dish with coconut milk never goes wrong man. or Anything that is prepared from the heart (banana heart haha) and Cooked with love is all good jonathan!!! Oh yeah.. there are always several things I notice when I come back to visit the states that would qualify as reverse culture shock… understanding what everyone is saying around me, AC… a lot of things haha
@@travelescapesOFFICIAL the day i got back to the US, I honked at someone to pass them on the freeway. I got the finger and tailgated for a couple miles. I forgot people are too sensitive here.
I am always waiting for your new vlog. Because I enjoyed watching them... Thank you and more power 🎉 God bless you always 🙏
Wowww ! You amazed me Jonathan , you can climbed that very high coconut 🥥🥥 tree ... So amazing 👌
Thank you so much! I appreciate your support! 🙏
I wish I could include your picture here up at the coconut tree 😅
It’s always fun watching your vlogs, the best life is the simple life and you can do that living in the province. As a Filipino we are proud that there are foreigners who enjoy living in our country just like you 😊👍
So vibrant, positive, joyful and happy! Both Ann and rhe little girl 😃 So charming personality. I wish more people in west was equally happy!
Anne loves to laugh and make jokes!

Thank you for watching!!
Its nice to live in the province, very challenging life but happy and good a lot of fresh vegetables and fruits with out money comes out from pocket..a healthy food..your daughter is so cool and helpful 😁
A lot of women today only knows dancing in tiktok and even don't know how to do house chores, if you find this kind of fine lady - she's a keeper!
True Anne is a keeper.
Oh I'm looking believe it. I'm 34yo and won't give up the search either.
Ooo I didn’t know that! Thanks for the info!

I want to know why the Filipino people are still behind. Even raising a pig, they still use a leash. Like the 60-70s Wood to be used to make a pig stall Can't you find stables in that country? It's a suspicion from Thai people.
Love your human interest perspective vs all other vloggers. Great job Johnathan
Thank you!! I think there’s a lot more to show in the Philippines other than malls and beaches!
She is so down to earth.
Her place reminds of when I visited my latino aunts and uncles in the countryside as a child in the summers.
Thats exactly how they did it. Live off the land.
And string beans are good 4 u, sir!
Enjoying the new vid! It’s just making me more excited for my move there next month!
Oh nice! Which island are you moving to?
@@travelescapesOFFICIAL Luzon! I’ll be a few hours north of Manila in Nuevo Ecijia. You should visit the north, it’s gorgeous!
@@travelescapesOFFICIALyeah I’m from the North visit here too! It’s also nice here I swear! ❤😊
It’s different from the one you had from the carinderia coz that was made for selling at a low price, thats why no pork or shrimp. What she prepared you was a special homecooked banana blossoms in coconut milk as the main ingredient and she threw in available veggies and protein that could go well with it.
I love all your videos! They bring so much good memories and good vibes and energy, thank you so much to bring the Philippines to me 🙂🙂🙂 I experienced what you are experiencing and it’s amazing and life changing! Thank you Jonathan
This is exactly what i would love to experience in the Philippines my envy is big :)
Hey there
You always have smile on your face unlike before 😄. It seems that your outlook in life change. You always look happy, not stress, very positive! Good vibes always! 👍🏼❤️
A delicious home-cooked meal from the land; great that the Filipinas love to share their meals..,.

Dish that has heart of banana or cook with banana blossom are always a favorite. ❤ The dog, goat ,chickens Aya , and Ann are the ones completing your vlog when cooking a new dish. Again great vlog.
Anyone Can Change The Course Of Their Lives But Only Happy People Like You My Friend Do it. God Bless. 🙏

Johnathan you are an amazing vlogger! You do everything to learn the Filipino way of doing things. You can't experience experience that in Manila. I have great respect to your Filipina host and teacher. She is amazing and lots of guts.😮😊😊❤❤❤

Congratulations! You made it to the top! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 That is a delicious dish (made with fresh ingredients). She did a great job!
Have you tried lumpia stuffed with coconut palm and a mixture of veggies? It is REALLY GOOD! Maybe the lady friend can make you some the next time you visit her.
Thanks! I’ve eaten plenty of lumpia, but I think stuffed with pork. I’m not sure if I’ve had the coconut palm, but maybe I did without noticing
@@travelescapesOFFICIAL Try lumpiang ubod, coconut palm filling. It’s my favorite and it doesn’t exist here in the US.
It's a Filipino dish. It's her own version. That's how we usually cook banana heart/ blossom😊
Jonathan you’re good influence with those kids around you because they are learning how to speak English and at the same time you are learning more Bisayan as well WTG that’s pretty cool 😎
Yep! We can both teach each other! Thanks for watching!

Miss the Province life in the Philippines. Aya is so cute. ❤
I wish you would have introduced the girl in this vlog like her name, age etc.. she seems very sweet, nice and independent..
I am impressed and I am following you now! Just so much authenticity in your vlogs. I am a Filipino working from abroad and seeing videos like these surely put smiles onto us having to leave our most treasured home. Provincial life is the best and it’s awesome that you’ve tried to climb one of those coconut trees. Not all can do it even locals so kudos. Also, I see a beautiful chemistry between you and that nice and fun lady there. Keep making more videos and we will watch out! 🤙🏼👍🏼🙂
❤
You need to have more of the aunt in the video ❤️❤️
This is very heart warming to me....i am planning to go and this makes me very excited to come!
You guys are so cute and having fun together while cooking hahaha Love love love it so much Jon👍🏻
Your distractedness shows that you are observing your environment and giving time to it as part of your experience. It's great.
Just finished the video and wow you guys are so sweet together. Very natural connection. Lovely.
I learned so much with your Channel thank you for your content Filipino provincial life
The baby girl is so friendly and very caring girl God bless her
Cooking ginataang banana blossom, w/ sitaw or string beans( bec they are long like string). Putting salt in the chopped blossom then squeezing it to remove the sap taste
Or I cooked it adobo style also
That’s very nice of them to invite you to show you how it’s prepared
Hope you won’t get tired trying to learn other stuff
have fun to your other adventure until you can meet your true love and wife Jonathan
The food she cooked made me hungry, actually that is how I cooked that back when I lived in the philippines 30 years ago. I am planning to go back in the Philippines next year. Good job on your adventure, I really enjoy watching your videos❤
He has eyes like Smeagol! And I love this whole family, what a beautiful life they have!
jonathan, anne could be your wife and aya can be your neice. you and anne have great chemistry together and she is so sweet and i can tell she likes you, you have alot of fun together and aya too has so much fun when your there.
7😊😊jj😊😊😊6😅vvn. Nn
This video is just perfect, with the setting and the child that adds to your beautiful video, i have seen this several times but I always enjoy.
Thank you so much for watching! Yes, she is hilarious in this video!
This is her version!! It's a Variation of the a ginata-an na puso (heart)... well any dish with coconut milk never goes wrong man. or Anything that is prepared from the heart (banana heart haha) and Cooked with love is all good jonathan!!! Her Kilig moments is all over the Video Ayyyieee😍🥰 As what they say "The way to a mans heart is through his stomach!" I think every one will agree on me on that! 😅
I love your province videos. I lived 2 years in Issan, Thailand. This is similar but much better. Easier to communicate.
Jonathan kumusta ka, congrats on your climb, I was nervous for Ann as she climbed that tall tree, great video, you guys make a great couple. She's beautiful.. I'm American like you and married a Filipina and she's amazing, both beautiful inside and outside as well..
