Man I love the lore of these vaults I hope the one thing they change is the amount of vaults they actually built I feel they limited themselves with only 120
Yeah it’s annoying but tbh they only add like 4-5 per game so there’s still a few they can explore in the next few games. But eventually they will have to change how many were made
If tactics was cannon in Bethesda lore that would be 126 since in the list there was 5 unfinished vaults and Vault 0 but because Bethesda was stupid they removed it from canon
The Fallout franchise is my all time favorite franchise and I've been playing since the first game back in the 90s. One of the biggest draws was the sadism of Vault Tec so I've enjoyed this series immensely. Great work. Hope Amazon doesn't fail with the live action show.
Holy shit, how am I only just finding out about an amazon series based on fallout? Fallout is easily one of my favourite franchises, cant wait to watch it. You have made my day with this, cheers!
@@Huggsmd To add a little bit a hope, its supposed to be directed by Johnathan Nolan, brother of Christopher Nolan, and the director of Westworld. So there's that. I'm hopeful yes still somewhat skeptical.
I popped in around 2010 I started with fallout 1, 2, brotherhood, then tactics Brotherhood’s antagonist is fantastic- but the more toxic fans always drag on all ‘spin offs’ to say they aren’t canon and are horrible… until fallout 3 and new vegas popped up. It always annoys me how the ‘we’re the OG fans’ attacked the spin offs, then act like they aren’t made during the time- especially with the ‘oh it was I, vault Tec that started the nuclear war’ twist with the planned movie…
Headcanon: The Unfinished Vault was in fact going to be exactly the luxurious utopia pitched in the advertising for the other Vaults, with no experiments and room and supplies for everyone. It was where Vault-Tec executives were going to ride out the War, so they could gather data on the experiments later. (I mean, how much sense does it make to set up literally hundreds of different experiments, with no possible way to learn the outcomes?) And it all would have worked out perfectly, if it hadn't been for those meddling kids and their dog!
lol I have an older friend name Garry, he's definitely an old head because he don't play video games. Every time I play a video of vault 108 and we listen to the story of the Garry's he burst into laughter and chants his own name over and over again 😆
I loved the way your videos presented each officially canon vault giving each a spotlight with well researched information without overstaying welcome or overshadowing other segments and i am glad that the vaults that had little to no information were given acknowledgement at the very least instead of being skipped altogether just for having nothing of substance
Dude, I literally just found your channel yesterday after being recommended the other vault lore videos then this this comes out today that's some crazy timing.
Imagine booting up into your first VR session, after being put into a Vault 112 pod for the rest of your conscious life, and after stepping outside of the house you woke up in for the first time, you hear a voice behind you and it says, "There's another settlement in need of your help." Time for Tranquility Pain
Another fantastic video from you, keep it up man! Also, I recently watched your metro videos and decided to check the game series out. So far, I’m enjoying it!
Nice comment. Watched all your vault videos and was a great breakdown of them all. Playing through the games, reading about each vault I encountered messed with my adhd so this video breakdown was a great way to fill the gaps. Thanks!
A tyrannical figure locking down the vault for a long time while motivational phrases appear throughout the vault such as "we're in this together". Hmm...
Going into vault 108 the first time I played fallout 3 was creepy and crazy. I've only played 1 other game that game me those same feeling and that was Condemned on Xbox 360
@@WiseFish In what way do you think Tactics Brotherhood would be included in future games, the events taken at face value in regard to the events of the story and background lore smoothed over to bring it line line with canon like the origin of the vaults and the brotherhood. Also what ending do you think is the best and would fit with the lore?
Vault 114 could have been an interesting experiment... As the Vault was apparently advertised as pretty much a luxury hotel, with only rich and influential figures allowed into it. But then it would when they did go there for safety, turn out to be extremely cramped and have practically no amenities or luxuries. And based on the tapes regarding the interviews for the position of Overseer, their top considered candidate was a paranoid homeless man calling himself "Soup Can Harry". Who's entire purpose would've been to make life even more miserable for the previously rich inhabitants.
Would you consider doing lore videos on some of the major characters of Fallout like Joshua Graham (my absolute favorite fallout character), Ulysses, Caesar, Nick Valentine and such other characters. Or on some of the DLC locations/Points of interest. Please and thank you Oh WiseFishy
I miss Fallout New Vegas Fallout 3 Being the whole point was like a true apocalypse Like in Fallout 3 when they would have children slaves Or in New Vegas when you find the farm Where the kids parents left him and he thought the barn animals ate them so he burnt down the house with himself inside Just the whole feel of creepiness and eeriness was really prevalent in Fallout 3 and New Vegas
Not sure if it is a "Canon Vault" but there is the test-vault in the basement of Vault-Tech University in Fallout 76. A student is granted time in the test-vault to see if his different flavored gruel can work as nutrient substitute. But the teachers twist the experiment so that the gruel will start to cause atrophy and/or other side-effects (cant remember, think it was cardio-vascular issues). The leader of the test (the student) decides to allow the other residents to open up the reserve rations to use in case things didn't work out but apparently the other residents disliked the taste of the gruel so they had been eating the rations instead, leaving nothing remaining for the rest of the experiment. So the other residents tell the student to cancel the experiment, but they also hear a big thump and the walls shaking. Not really sure what it was, and no one coming to tell them, they assumed it was nothing important. But as the student tried to call his teachers to stop the project no one answered. The noise and the shaking was the bombs falling, so no one was left alive on the outside. The test subjects in the vault did not believe the student saying he had tried to call for help and decided to mutiny as they were running low on food. The student barrikaded himself in the Overseers office and decided to end his own life out of fear for what the others would do to him.
Vault 112's memory machines were designed with a Cryo function. While their mind was in a simulation, there bodies would be preserved for whenever the simulation ended. I think that's just most speculation but it makes a lot of since as to why the people are still in near perfect condition despite being in the same pod for years on end.
Vault 108 almost feels like a hive mind entity that gets more agressive as it gets bigger. Hence why all of them attacked at once. But thats just a guess
The "Fake Vault 13" is most likely the original planned location for Vault 13 and it was scrapped early on and Vault Tec moving its location, the holo disk was probably an old record he found in the wasteland
Enjoyed the video jus one question, were told and its seen that in vault 111 the rest of the residents die cause the institute decided that there was no reason to turn life support back on after they shut it off to get shawn, other than the sole survivior, them being the backup if shawn dies
Yeah I know but I was trying to do it as a "from the eyes of our character" he was a raider. But yes, he is a Synth. Synth can still be raiders tho tbh lol
Go into 96, deactivate distress signal and disconnect computer from network but do not deactivate it. Go back to vault door and destroy locking/closing mechanism. Leave.
