I agree with the budgeting tip, but I suggest investing your money into a savings account or a Roth IRA so your money can earn interest additionally cash loses value slowly due to inflation
100% agree. I used to save all my 1 dollar bills in a bag but now I transfer them to a high yield savings account each week. Definitely planning to open a Roth IRA before the end of the year.
That’s really good. Sometimes it depends on the location of the restaurant as well. Some get really busy and have better crowds of tippers than others.
I have an interview for server/bartender tomorrow. Your videos have really helped me gain insight on what to expect. I was reluctant on being a server because of some family members, but I’m currently in between trying to start a business and need the flexible hours.
I average at least 100 a day at my seving job as well.. one thing they love that I do is ask if they would like whatever beverage they were drinking in a Togo cup for when they leave…. They LOVE that
I've applied to everywhere but nobody wants to hire for server position cuz i dont have experience. I just started at IHOP, ik it's not where I wanna stay but to start out and get some experience to eventually work at a $$$ restaurant😝
iHop is a good place to start. Keep applying other places, and after you apply go up to the restaurant on a day that’s not busy, maybe Monday afternoon, and introduce yourself to the hiring manager. Let him/her know you applied and that you look forward to an interview.
Where do you currently work at as a server? I have a couple interviews for a Host at different restaurants but I'm a little interested in being a server as well.🙂
I have been keeping track of my tips for jus like the last 3 months? and I’ve gotten stuck in just 50 more than any other number :/ no one wants to tip good anymore, even if they say you’re like the best waitress they’ll hand me a dollar (that happened fr) and the restaurant I’m at is pretty dead most the time. I just am so jealous of the people talkin about how they leave with way more every shift

Lol. Like you would get overtime. Let's see, if it doesn't happen, you all have no one to blame but yourselves! Cheers.
