As a casual FGC spectator, but non-player, watching Mira fight just so visually cool compare to almost every other fighting game character.
Mira is so cool and I'm ashamed at how often I forget about her.
It's cuz she's too hard to win with @ a top level, so no pros play her. Thus you don't see her and hence you forget about her :v

Max singlehandedly convinced me to buy Killer Instinct 2013. I really am not a huge fighting game fan, but watching him play and have this amount of love made me realize two things.
1: it’s not nearly as hard as most, so there is that! The combos are pretty easy, some of the specials are giving me some trouble, but it’s literally been a day since I got it, I think I’ll learn with some time.
2: Most fighting game’s, in my opinion, have super generic characters, which KI really doesn’t have any of, well at least for the most part.
I hope you see this Max, I really do. Love the videos man, I hope you keep playing this badass game!
Oh in case anyone was wondering, I’ll more then likely be playing with Kan Ra, Spinal, Aganos, Riptor, and Sabrewulf. Maybe Glacius and Cinder, but it’s up in the air. Not sure if I want to learn them as well honestly.

I think I heard somewhere that the mercury attacks were originally going to be blood, but they changed it to keep the teen rating. (keep in mind I don't know where this was, who this was, or if they were a reliable source or not so take this with a truck load of salt.)

I've been watching Max's KI vids for years and have literally only just keyed in to how flucking epic Tusk's BGM is - a worthy successor to his '96 version from KI2(which all and sundry will know as it bursts forth from my phone when a call incomes) 😎😎😎😎

Love playing Mira. You can do some dirty mix ups to escape the corner as soon as you hit the ground after a jump, using her "geyser" shadow move combined with the 3rd bat projectile that will come from offscreen, when you're against the wall and using her teleport right after.

Counter breakers in this game I feel are probably just as hype of Parrying supers in 3rd strike.
Sometimes people just BEG to be counter broken though, I mean look at that first guy. He was just wiping his hand back and forth across the controller, pressing everything!

Watching that Mira player makes me want to play KI more than any other time in my life. I love watching Max play, but never liked the new KI myself.... But that Mira looked damn fun.

Seeing a quality Mira like that makes me want to give her another try. Love everything about her concept and move list, just hadn’t put in enough time in with her. MAN is this game fun to watch.
I think I don't have the capacity of getting tired of Fulgore's eye laser sound effect.

Shame Mira was hardly used in this game. Makes sense since she can lose health doing certain moves. That kinda sucked as a Mira main

High risk High reward, she pulled a 50% damage combo and got the health she used back in the next.
I still remember the days of playing the original and loving when I could pull off the Ultra combos. I think Cinder I had up to 45 or maybe even 50 hits. So epic.

Man it has been a couple of years since this game came out, but man it's still a blast watching people play. Plus it still holds up pretty damn well still.

Don't feel bad, Max. I hate dealing with Rash too. There's just so little window to stop his shit. And don't get me started on Mira. You think you're having trouble? Try fighting her with TJ. Fighting a flying monster like mira with a character who basically needs shadow for anti-air is an entirely different kind of nightmare. You can tell she was designed late in the cycle because some characters just don't feel like they're designed to fight her at all. She's a genius concept for a fighting game character but dealing with her just pushes up my blood pressure.
I have Killer Instinct for my Xbox.
But i only have the free version meaning i only have 1 free character it's Eedyol.
I'm basically asking how do i unlock the rest of the characters?
I played a little bit of Shadow Lords and i got Jaygo from playing that.
But i'm confused do i gotta keep playing that mode to get everyone else?
Or is there a easier way to unlock everyone else?

Fun fact: Mira is strikingly similar to the newest rendition of the Mortal Kombat character Skarlet, another dark warrior who uses blood to create weapons.
On a similar tip, she always reminded me of Nitara, the she-vamp from Deadly Alliance...
Skarlet is not new, she first appeared in Mortal Kombat 9 / Mortal Kombat (2011), prior to this Killer Instinct (2013).
