- For $19 each, I sent 32 cards in to be graded by PSA via their bulk submission. After one month, they are back in my hands and I have no idea what grades I got. This submission contains cards from Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Justin Herbert, Jalen Hurts, Trevor Lawrence, and many more! Today, I am blindly revealing the grades from PSA for you guys. I would ask you for luck, but not sure what good that would do me at this point! I hope you enjoy!

On the burrow, the bottom corners have pretty visible whitening, so even though the front is well centered, that would be a 9.

Great vid man. Congrats on your Olave! Grading is still a mystery to me. I've never personally submitted one. I've had Hitman send in 3 for me and I've gotten an 8, 9 and 10. Really difficult to know sometimes what will grade well, cost, wait time and man, the up-charge is a complete mystery. I have a ton of cards I'd love to get into slabs. It's cool to see cards like these, I have a lot of similar cards on top of a handful that I'm pretty sure would get up-charged if I got 10s. One day, I'll send some. Til then, I'll live vicariously through you and the other guys posting these vids. Thanks for the content!

Happy for you on that Herbert 10 but that is absolutely crazy how off-center the back is. From what I've been finding PSA is more forgiving on centering, but hard on corners. SGC is forgiving on surface issues like print lines etc but hella strict with centering.

That was a great PSA return. I do like the Donruss downtowns better than the Optic downtowns. They just look so much cleaner without the laser beams going across the surface.

Did pretty good from some of the other openings I’ve seen on here! As for your amount of 10s to 9s but most of the 9s I saw were pretty obvious that they were off centered! But still enjoyed the first blind opening!!!
A normal dude reveal normal cards. Love it. Great reveal. You did well.
This is what makes me question PSA there were some cards that got 10 that were off centered and some that looked perfect and got a 9.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Obviously Off-Centered cards getting a 10 has never made sense to me. Most important thing to getting good grades solely depends on how the grader's day is going. It's a total joke.
@@dknb4558 exactly I've seen TH-camrs break open a PSA 10 and send it back in and come back with a 9
@@dknb4558 Honestly what also makes PSA FOS is the first example. a $3 Chase rookie card, he graded.... EVERYONE is grading ungradable cards. PSA10 is $80? yeah im calling BS on that LOL. Its not his rookie year anymore, hasnt won anything yet, so the HYPE value is gone. Thats how card values go, HYPE year and Rarity/Age.

Thanks for the vid. My very first sub of 21 cards will arrive Tomorrow and I’m doing a blind reveal. My anticipation is through roof. I got some real bangers in there too (Kenny Pickett DT) Also some die-cuts from 2021 so I’m glad you had a bunch in yours.

I'm a buyer on that Mac die-cut (if available; we're a shop in Boston), which it looks like it's slabbed OC lol Overall, these are the perfect type of cards for a 1st sub & you absolutely CRUSHED it! Great job Ian!
PS: Ya, that light blue TLaw was definitely OC on the front (heavy left when looking at the card).

My Purdy Gold Vinyl was off center but it did fall within standards for a 10 ... since it came back a 9 I assume there must have been some other issues to bring it to a 9 and not just the centering ... will have it in hand tomorrow and will check it out under the microscope (kinda hard to do with it in the slab)

My Watson Downtown from 2020 does have the same exact print line it’s just the downtown
I like the non optic downtowns as well. The lazer is not a good look for optic downtown. Btw die cuts are hard to get 10s on especially after 2020
I'm a big supporter for accuracy rate over gem rate. I'd rather know how accurate you were with your pre-grading score and the why behind it then you getting GEM MT 10s and not knowing why all of the time.. So I definitely enjoyed this video.
I was curious why the "DOWNTOWN" has an exclamation mark on the Olave, but the Fields doesn't have that.
I like watching blind reveals,isnt fun when owner of them knows already
PSA needs to give each grader a grading manual so each card is graded consistently.
PSA dont need to do anything cause yall gon continue to.give these companies business regardless

Every grade has specific characteristics to judge the card on... it's still subjective no matter what.... the grader could have been late to work that day and no one will get a 10... it's just how it is

The Trevor Lawrence has a small dent on the lower left side of the border. You can see it if you turn the card in the light. All great cards though :)

The Refractor Line on the Fields Downtown does not effect the Grading. Cards with such Errors can get a 10.
I will never understand why Prizm black or variations get no love. They are so nice and different!

When you try to grade a card with an autograph but you know the card won’t receive the 9 or 10 I’m looking for is it best to get the card grades authentic and have the auto graded ?

I opened a mosiac hanger n a fat pack. I pulled the Kenny Pickett card #301V silver n, and it has a line scratch on the upper left side of the RC .I'm disabled n have limited income. I wrote a couple of sentences with the card n were thinking about sending it back to Panini. I wouldn't sell something like this. What do u think I should do? Thanks

Nice first submission, I’d recommend using a magnifying glass for the surface and corners, and if you really want to see any imperfections, I would recommend using a 🔬microscope. They work great and I’m sure the graders use something similar.

You know I've collected forever.
My cards are opened with new gloves every box, sleeved, top loaded if needed, etc..but I have NEVER graded a single card.
One thing I wish I knew is how they decide what to charge what they do on some cards.
Like take a holo rated rookie Mahomes. Prices vary greatly, it cost me $20 for the blaster & I just want it for my collection protected, but afraid they take the highest amt. some crazy MFer paid for it and charge me according ti that.
NOT a fan of that.
Think cards should just be graded across the board unless special shipping/ins is required or a special request or extras are requested.
So, to me all rated cards should be charged the same.
Doesn't matter if you get a 2 or a 10, the same grading happens, right?
Same amt. of time goes into grading all cards so why should some cost more?
With that line of thinking, certain boxes with certain hits in them should cost more than boxes with no hits. Doesn't make sense, right???😅
