Thank you so much for giving some of these old Melira pod combo pieces some love! I’m sure it will take a while to revisit these cards, seeing how they struggled with the tempo of modern… Modern. But I was wondering if it would be worthwhile to cut altar and just keep finks, Melira, redcap and sac outlet. Maybe also add some alternate combos that want a sac outlet?
I don’t suppose it makes much sense to try to go in multiple directions at the same time. My Coco Melira/redcap deck has some Rosie and Scurry Oaks in there. But not because it’s good, just because I wanted to build Rosie combo and couldn’t bear to take apart my old deck lol
Heroic intervention? I actually tested silence in the earlier builds of the deck.. aimed to fill a similar role. Also had t3feri in one of the lists, so there was no risk of interaction.
@Control4Daze alright sorry not familiar enough with MTGO and it's windows 98 operating system. When I rewatched it I understand that you were just commenting that with MTGO you have to do the infinite combo manually unlike in IRL were you can establish that you have it. Then you mention the opponent responded to the trigger anyway and killed your combo. I though you were saying it was a limitation of MTGO that lost that round but it was just the opponent had removal. Gotcha. Sorry for the confusion.
@@Control4Daze oh no your good. I appreciate your commentary and your edits because it makes the video much better. MTG content can be dry sometimes when watching someone else play ESPECIALLY MTGO. So earned a sub from me

Yea, the move would def be to cut the altars and include a different sacrifice outlet. I would def make some changes if I was doing this again.
Always a great time! Thank you for your work!
Thank you Kevin! Appreciate you tuning in!
Janky combos for daze!

It just rolls off the tongue! 🤣

This deck deserves to run Yawg but I'm glad you didn't play it to build a totally different deck 👏👏
Yea, the thought def crossed my mind…but then it just becomes a bad Yawg deck 😕
Bad yawg deck? That's not possible

Haha is that a good thing?
Cool video! Makes me want to get back on mtgo.
Haha thanks 🙏🏼 Inspiring gamers 1 vid at a time 😂
I'm 40. And I bought boosters back in 1997
Haha we’re about the same age…a large portion of my audience was in diapers at that time lol
Lol there’s a good number of fellow greyhairs (with children in diapers) enjoying your content too though !

🙌🏼👍🏼🙌🏼
Also first day of class
This would also do the job…would have to splash a third color though.
i thought if you hold control in MTGO, you hold priority, meaning you could have done the combo for the first game, correct?
they can just respond to the persist trigger with removal, even if you hold priority
This 👆🏼
You have to pass priority at some point, and when you do, finks will still be in the graveyard

Could u marry this with goblin persist combo ?
It’s essentially the same thing, so yes!
I’m not familiar with goblin persist. Does that involve redcap?
@@aribdisI think there’s a 2-mana gobbo with persist that is used in the combo.
