Thank you Fluff for ending so many of your videos with stories of wholesomeness. They help balance out the stubborn and stuck on stupid that frequently are in the other stories.
It was Friday evening: After work, I put on a white, long-sleeved dress shirt, a neck tie and some good slacks with a casual cut to them. I was going to go out with some young people that I work with, so I wanted to look respectable, ya know? As we entered the bar /restaurant I noticed fairly quickly that the place was full of blue jeans, tee-shirts and tennis shoes... Boy! Did I stand out in that crowd! 😲About halfway through our meal, I went to the restroom to.... 'rest' myself, ya know!? 😀 As I was washing my hands afterwards, a young boy, maybe 8 to 10 years old, spoke up next to me and asked me something about the restaurant /food policy. I had no idea of course, so I just shook my head and told him softly that he should probably ask someone who worked here. "You're not the manager!?" the little boy asked me with wide eyes. I was still grinning at him as I slowly shook my head side to side, "Nope!" I said, "I'm just another customer here like you, young man!" I chuckled about it for a quick moment and then I thought about it, so I asked him "Why in the world would you think that I'm the manager here?" with a smile on my face. In all his innocence and honesty, the boy looked me straight in the eye and told me "Because you look so old!" 😀(I was only 33 or 34 at the time... But, to a little boy, I guess that is pretty old. Isn't it?) 🙂 I wished the boy a good night, "Hope you enjoy your meal!" then returned to my friends in the restaurant. When I told all the ladies what had just happened they gasped! A couple of them even said they would have slapped the boy for saying that to them! 😲 "Oh...." I told the ladies, "He didn't mean anything by it.... and besides, to him -- I am an old man!" The women laughed at the situation then too. 🙂
So, Karen, if you think that person is a “lazy employee,” why do you feel it’s your duty to not only berate that person and so call discipline them by assaulting them! If they are employees, for one: they aren’t at everyone’s beckon call their whole shift (are you where you work?), do get breaks, and don’t work 24/7. Second: if they ARE being “lazy,” unless you’re paying them directly, which you’re not, it ain’t your concern nor your job to intervene much less reprimand them. Also, you start getting ridiculous, they do have the right to refuse service! And employee or not, you can’t put you hand or fingernail jabs on anyone else!!!
@@robertnelson9599 it happens in an adult because they were never taught how to behave in the first place. Mommy and/or Daddy dearest brought them up to believe they are the center of the universe and everyone else is beneath them.
@@robertnelson9599 I have a theory that these Karens, Kens, and other entitled people in between and beyond threw temper tantrums to get their way when they were little. It worked, and they kept doing it well into adulthood because that's what they know.
I just don’t get why people try to talk down these crazy people. If some weirdo threatened to get my manager at a store i dont work at id be like great go do that
Sometimes it's just a pure audacity and craziness of the person that just causes people to mentally shut off and be unable to think. It's like if you heard someone start going off about how flat Earth was correct and the government is hiding all these facts. I'm pretty sure most people would have to take a second to process the fact that someone this stupid actually exists and is in front of you before you can figure out how to actually respond
In story 3, OP is amazing. As for the critics I'd argue that you can't be enough of an a-hole to a person treating you like a slave; and honestly if it takes these people being treated like trash to curb their entitlement then all the power to these would be victims.
Yeah, I don't see what's bad about what OP did there. These people do this because they are not shamed for behaving like this in public. Shame is a good means of social control.
@@wfcoaker1398 Honestly though more people should be doing this, I firmly believe that a lot of this entitlement we see today is brought on by parents turning a blind eye or otherwise underplaying the antics of their children; I'm not saying that all the problems of kids are on the parents though, as children regularly go behind adults backs to get what they want or even lie, and parents don't have omniscience to know what company their child keeps in their social circle.
@@festro1000 good points but behavior like "Karens" is actually almost all on the parents and how their child was raised. The parents raise the child to believe they are the center if the universe and can do no wrong, also that others are beneath them. That starts very young. I worked as a nanny for many years and watched it happen over and over. I was lucky, the family I worked for and am still friends with all these years later actually cared about their child and did NOT want to raise a spoiled brat. I am proud to say they were successful in that, their now grown child is an amazing caring person but that isn't always the way. The stories I could tell of spoiled self centered children could fill a book or two (or more if I included stories from fellow nannies). I will give you though that it is not always the fault of the parents, some do their best and still end up with a problem child.
@@lynprincevalli5221 It is unfortunate that some children are raised this way, but if these people are acting like this at this stage of life, lamenting about their upbringing will not change this entitlement. These people need to be taught the truth that they are not the center of the universe regardless of how their parents brought them up. I mean even if we brought awareness to the masses which we already have you's think the problem would not be as widespread, yet we still have people spoiling children. Frankly, like an outlook on any crime, entitlement will be a persistent issue in society as people have differing ideas on what proper parenting really is.
@@festro1000 oh, I agree! Once raised that way nothing will change unless they are forced to and that includes holding them accountable for their actions.
2nd story - how effing stupid needed the yeller to be to attack an customer, who had ANOTHER COMPANY'S NAME on his work clothes and to think that the person he assaulted and didn't wanted to listen to? Oh, irony, the one who shouted so loud about being stupid was by far the dumbest out there.
Story 3: Taking things out of carts is, at worst, incredibly rude. But when you have someone there who's unwilling to listen to reason, may as well be unreasonable back. No one comes out clean, but I'm sure OP came out happy at the very least.
Even if the guy received more serious injuries, it is still self defense. The OP may feel bad about it, but the guy brought it on himself. Don’t hit someone without expecting to get hit in return. Being a relatively small guy, I’ve had more than a few bullies that thought it was safe to hit me. Much to their surprise, they discovered the opposite. Some I just embarrassed, a few others got hurt, the rest usually got some other punishment (Detention, suspension, expulsion). All ended up regretting attacking me. Yeah, this was back in my school days.
Well he should not have touched him. I'm not thinking twice about how your head hit the surface behind you if you don't care about how you push me. Always press charges
That last one is SO heartwarming! On my end, I was heavily into model rockets and jets, and explaining them to everyone was always such a highlight for me as a kid. I think that is what got me into my tutoring/teaching and my job.
When they shout, pretend you didn't hear. Bonus points if you can get them to scream louder. Then see if you can get them to do it in a higher register. Even more bonus points if they end up screaming themselves hoarse.
@@SonsOfLorgar Hardly necessary. Not when a simple side-step might throw them off balance or result in them thrusting their hand into the shelving unit.
I've never understood the mental gymnastics required to think I can hit them but if they hit me its assault and I will have them arrested as if it dosent go both ways lol
Story 3: OP didn't curse. OP didn't ruin any food. THE ITEMS STILL BELONG TO THE STORE. So, no, OP got his point across in a reasonable, nonviolent way.
Karen’s often make a scene expecting that their behavior will get them free stuff. The worst are from India. I work in Seattle and we have people come in and immediately make a scene hoping the managers will give them free food just to make them go away. It doesn’t happen very often now because word has gotten around that all our managers have been told no free food and anyone who makes a scene is to be immediately trespassed off the property with charges whenever possible. Cheap as they are, they will actually pay employees to go to court and testify if necessary. We occasionally get the mentally ill or disturbed people but the treatment is the same. Trespassed and if they show up again, charges and if prosecutors won’t press charges, management goes after civil charges that prosecutors can’t stop. No contact orders, the works. The police don’t like it because they don’t want to do their jobs and the prosecutors don’t want to look like they’re “persecuting the homeless.” It sure cuts the level of BS we have to deal with. And many of our best customers come because our place is “safe.”
If some idiot is bothering me when I am minding my own business, yes, I will turn into an asshole. I don't apologize, I don't say a damned thing, I just walk off. I owe other shoppers absolutely nothing beyond not being rude to them if I get into their way (with a polite excuse me or i am sorry pardon me). Some dill weed screeching at me just amuses me and I refuse to engage. It is called walking away. I know how pissy it makes them and that makes me happy.
I don't normally comment on these, just enjoy them while driving around for my work. But, story 4, OP was a legend right there. Very firm lesson in why you don't just go around attacking people you don't know. The zip tie restraints were the icing on the cake. Hope ya doin well Fluff
My husband has a habit of bringing drink and food forward whenever we go somewhere. He used to manage a liquor store and was constantly moving items forward lol.
Story 5: Yeah, that's wholesome. Mom was probably thinking OP was some kind of junior guide, doing some internship of sorts. But all's well that ends well 🙂
Damn, there are so many techniques that anyone of any age can use to break bones of people who assault them. A poke in the chest? In a few weeks, maybe they'll use that hand. A slap? They'll get use of that arm in a few weeks. Grabbing your body? You need to make certain they won't get up. Keep crushing ribs until they stop struggling. Even if you are 80 pounds, a few full weight drops on the chest are often effective. There are more extreme techniques that I won't mention.
That'll get you in shit in some places, though. In Australia I'd be worried that'd count as grevious harm, especially since breaking someone's hand for them poking your chest could be easily argued as an unreasonable response.
@@damien678 understandable but here in the US you could get away with it if you were defending yourself. Hell, depending on the State you, sadly, could get away with shooting them. I know that sounds screwed up and it is.

The story about the kid giving a tour at the dinosaur museum brings fond memories to me. My husband and I went on a tour of a Mammoth dig at Waco, Texas. The tour guide was great and it was a fun tour. At the end, the guide said we had a little time left and asked if anyone knows how they preserve and package dinosaur bones for shipment to researchers at university. A preschool boy excitedly waved his hand and then went on a lengthy, very detailed explanation of the process. The guide told the boy that he could have a job there when he grows up. Then he asked how the boy knew so much about dinosaurs. He answered, "Dinosaur Train!" Moral of the story: support PBS.
Story 2: I know it's the OP's mistake not Fluff's, but in legal situations the word is "pleaded," not "pled". It's actually two completely different verbs. Plead (present) --> Pled (past) = to beg. Plea (present) --> Pleaded (past) = to admit guilt. There's no actual overlap in the words, they just happen to sound similar so people get confused.
AWW!! I love that last story!! How cute!! I wonder, when he was little, the OP thought it was cool that someone thought he worked there. I think, if someone had thought that about me (at a place like a museum) I would have been SO excited!! I might have even thought "HEY! This could be a fun job! I should do this when I grow up!!" It sounds like both kids had a great time!!
I always really enjoy how you also tell us the opinions of the commenters from the original post! Thank you for the great content and keep up the good work :)
Love, love, love Fluff... All of this content can be summed up with "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes." And boy do I love hearing about these prizes.
I applaud OP on that one, but the zip ties might have been going too far. In some jurisdictions, that might be sufficient for false imprisonment or even kidnapping charges.
Story 3: What's inside a shopping cart is not in the possession currently driving the shopping cart. It is in the possession of the store and is just a means of transportation for what you intend to buy. So no. What OP did was not wrong. Over the top maybe but not wrong. He did not steal her items and unless they were the last items in store/on the shelf store employees won't do anything about it.
Yes and no. While he was in the right (in my opinion) items in the cart are in the possession of the person driving the cart, just not yet owned by them...
I'd say while it's not illegal in any sense, it is rude, and shops have been known to ban customers who are rude / disruptive to other customers, but it's no more rude than what the Karen did I suppose.
Second Story: Always press charges against Karens who lay their filthy hands on you. Good work, OP. That'll learn that Karen! Third Story: Well justfied. fight fire with fire. OP is NTA.
Jabbing finger: I would have asked her if she liked her finger because if she doesn't stop jabbing that finger, I'll break it off and hand it back to her.
The first story: I cannot even begin to tell you how I would have reacted if that woman got in my face. Theoretically, I would have backed up and told her to stay out of my space. If she had touched me, I would have probably pushed her back. If she would have ended up on her back, I would have told her to stay down there like the street walker that she is or if she would end up getting hurt.
The last story was truly wholesome. It reminds me of a similar story in which OP was mistaken for a tour guide at the Louvre. Both stories had wholesome happy endings.
I love watching Dark Fluff, you make my day. I can't wait to see a new one and the last story was so satisfying after hearing about all the Karen's. Thanks for ending on a positive note😁
Regarding the employee apologizing, when it wasn't their responsibility: I was grocery shopping the other day, and just as I was looking at something on the top shelf (Please note: I am SHORT. If I want something off the top shelf, I MUST ask for assistance), and deciding, "No, I'll be good and not get it. I'm supposed to be sticking to my new medical food plan. Darn it," so I did not ask for assistance to put it in my cart. Well, and employee saw me, and did the basic, "Hello. May I assist you?" "No, thanks. I'm good." "Oh, I'm sorry. Did you find everything you need?" "Yep. I just put the last thing on my list into my cart. I was just considering the juice up there." "Oh, I'm sorry. Well, have a nice day." "Why are you sorry that I found everything I need?" "I'm sorry. It's the rule." "The rule?" "I'm sorry. Whenever we aren't able to help a customer, we have to apologize. It's the new rule." "But, you would have assisted me, if I needed it and asked for it?" "I'm sorry. Yes, I sure would have. Is there anything else I can do for you?" At this point, I was weirded out, and strictly stopping myself from backing away slowly. Instead, I smiled, thanked him, and pushed my cart away. Behind me, I heard him say, "I'm sorry. Have a nice day!" I've been shopping at this place for YEARS, and never had an interaction like that. It was disturbing. But I believe, now, that it was a form of malicious compliance on his part. "Yes! I got everything I need!" should not have "I'm sorry" as the first part of the reply. It should be, "I'm glad," or "That's good," or something affirming and friendly. "I'm sorry" for NOTHING is just... WEIRD. Fortunately, every other interaction I had with employees that day involved actually assisting me so I didn't even know about the rule. I just got cheerful, professional service, got my groceries, and went on my way.
I like the Happy Story at the end. All of your Karens described in these stories are just plain, rude people. I'm amazed they think they should even talk to a store employee like they do, let alone another customer in the store. The ones that smacked down deserved it.
The guy getting punched in the nose has no sence of self preservation. I have been knocked down several times and fell backward when a chair broke under me landing flat on my back every time. But not once did i allow my head to hit the ground.
Story 3- How the heck? I’m sorry, but in WHAT WORLD are these people living on, calling OP a butthole!? OP clearly stated they weren’t an employee, then proceeded to prove a frickin’ point. If that’s frowned upon, they’d hate any Karen stories I’d ever get.
Story 3: She can easily go back and get what she needs again and honestly, she deserves it. And they even put back the mayo. Also, they aren't wrong. I tend to straighten things in the store even now after 15 years away.

Karen’s believe anyone who performs a service for them is basically a slave that does not have rights. How does this attitude happen in an adult.
@@robertnelson9599 it happens in an adult because they were never taught how to behave in the first place. Mommy and/or Daddy dearest brought them up to believe they are the center of the universe and everyone else is beneath them.
@@robertnelson9599 They grow up in a entitled family who think it is ok to treat other people like crap.🤮🤮🤮
@@robertnelson9599 I have a theory that these Karens, Kens, and other entitled people in between and beyond threw temper tantrums to get their way when they were little. It worked, and they kept doing it well into adulthood because that's what they know.
As a dinosaur enthusiast, that last story almost brought me to tears. I love it when you end with a wholesome story.
Me too. I'd just say "Oh please do! This is gonna be fun."
Story 3 with the taking her groceries was amazing. And I agree with you fluffo. They did nothing to harm her. She shouldn’t have been so indignant
Absolutely! A Master Level move by OP.
Last story: It would be cool if OP currently works for that museum! That would be the perfect ending to the story!
It's nice to have a wholesome story at the end to help bring my blood pressure back down after hearing the other stories. 👍
Love the bar story. Hit back and always press charges it's self defense once they touch you
2nd story - how effing stupid needed the yeller to be to attack an customer, who had ANOTHER COMPANY'S NAME on his work clothes and to think that the person he assaulted and didn't wanted to listen to?
Last Story: I absolutely love this and wouldn't be surprised if that little boy remembers it still too!
I thought I heard all variations of these stories but mistaking a 10yo for an employee? Thats a new one. At least it was positive for a change.
Well he should not have touched him. I'm not thinking twice about how your head hit the surface behind you if you don't care about how you push me. Always press charges
😂👏😂👏😂👏😂
*HELL YES!! KUDOS to the guy in the pub!! I was legit cheering for him while listening to Fluff tell this story!!*
As a Home Depot employee, I want to say THANK YOU FOR PRESSING CHARGES!!! All too often these entitled, abusive people get off scott free.
Even more bonus points if they end up screaming themselves hoarse.
and then you punch them in the throat if they shove you XD
@@SonsOfLorgar Hardly necessary. Not when a simple side-step might throw them off balance or result in them thrusting their hand into the shelving unit.
Scream til they lose their voice and can't talk.
@@audreyricci6383 That's the plan.
I've never understood the mental gymnastics required to think I can hit them but if they hit me its assault and I will have them arrested as if it dosent go both ways lol
Story 4: OP handled that situation perfectly
The last story put a huge smile on my face. I love listening to wholesome stories and stuff
ALWAYS file charges. ALWAYS!
I don't normally comment on these, just enjoy them while driving around for my work. But, story 4, OP was a legend right there. Very firm lesson in why you don't just go around attacking people you don't know. The zip tie restraints were the icing on the cake. Hope ya doin well Fluff
OP was trying to shock that Karen back in reality on the fact that he was a customer.
Good luck with that.
My husband has a habit of bringing drink and food forward whenever we go somewhere. He used to manage a liquor store and was constantly moving items forward lol.
How on earth did anyone confuse a TEN year old with a working teen or adult? Good god, how did homo sapiens survive this long?
The story about the guy taking the mean lady's mayo was hilarious, I laughed so hard. He was not the asshole, she totally had it coming
Wow 2 satisfying endings then a feel good story to end the video! this is gonna set me in a good mood for the rest of the day thanks!
Story 5: Yeah, that's wholesome. Mom was probably thinking OP was some kind of junior guide, doing some internship of sorts. But all's well that ends well 🙂
I always enjoy this. His use of different voices makes this so much fun in hearing these stories
Love those wholesome stories. Please keep them coming!
Story 2 pressing charges was awesome.
Hi dark fluff! Amazing stories as usual! I appreciate you and Steve! Y’all are amazing! ☺️
I agree about the last story. I may come here for the Karens and Kevins, but I love a good wholesome story above all.
@@lynprincevalli5221 we legally cannot carry any weapons or tools for self-defence anywhere in Australia, including pepper spray, because of how damaging they can be.
so yeah, I completely do not understand the US. it sounds so insane that it's gotta be made up, but I've seen videos. wishing you all the best, genuinely

Dark Fluff court is now in session.lol😄
My wife and I listen every day. Love these stories
I suppose my habit of wearing a faux-fur tail when I go out in casual clothing prevents me from being mistaken for an employee.
All press charges on a Karen especially if they hit you first
Oh man! The ‘Captain Phillips’ shopper! HILARIOUS 😂
Look at me…these are my groceries now!

As for the bar story where OP gets slapped. Yeah no she's in the wring and I wouldn't be surprised if the owner perma-band her from the establishment.
I applaud OP on that one, but the zip ties might have been going too far. In some jurisdictions, that might be sufficient for false imprisonment or even kidnapping charges.
@@Kris2005isMine i see your point there however I think with the unprovoked slaps that kidnapping or false imprisonment would be thrown out.
Second story. So happy OP did that and wasn't arrested.
Story 4 op should sue the restaurant owner for feeding the beast which lead to the level of abuse that transpired
I love the videos that end with wholesome stories! Always a great way to start my day or end my lunch break!
Story 3:
What's inside a shopping cart is not in the possession currently driving the shopping cart.
Yes, what Victor B said. Items in a cart are owned by the store while in the possession of the shopper.
She's not a shopper, it was pretty apparent she was just a stocker returning stock. Her buggy was free to browse.
I'd say while it's not illegal in any sense, it is rude, and shops have been known to ban customers who are rude / disruptive to other customers, but it's no more rude than what the Karen did I suppose.
OP didn't do anything wrong but the pub guy DID he put himself in that position and WAS the cause of the situation.
I had a senior in high school do that and he didn't play football for that year.
What’s even more amazing about the 3rd story is he pissed off a little Italian Nonna and survived.😂😂😂
The last story was truly wholesome. It reminds me of a similar story in which OP was mistaken for a tour guide at the Louvre. Both stories had wholesome happy endings.
He should have taken the whole cart and ran away with it laughing maniacally saying something like it's mine it's all mine
That last story was wholesome
I love it when Fluff ends with a surprise wholesome story
I love watching Dark Fluff, you make my day. I can't wait to see a new one and the last story was so satisfying after hearing about all the Karen's. Thanks for ending on a positive note😁
3rd story was hilarious. That's how to do it. Not like they assaulted the Karen. They just too 2 things from her cart
The last story made my day!
Regarding the employee apologizing, when it wasn't their responsibility:
I was grocery shopping the other day, and just as I was looking at something on the top shelf (Please note: I am SHORT.
May I assist you?"
"No, thanks. I'm good."
"Oh, I'm sorry. Did you find everything you need?"
"Yep. I just put the last thing on my list into my cart. I was just considering the juice up there."
"Oh, I'm sorry. Well, have a nice day."
"Why are you sorry that I found everything I need?"
"I'm sorry. It's the rule."
"The rule?"
"I'm sorry. Whenever we aren't able to help a customer, we have to apologize. It's the new rule."
"But, you would have assisted me, if I needed it and asked for it?"
"I'm sorry. Yes, I sure would have. Is there anything else I can do for you?"
At this point, I was weirded out, and strictly stopping myself from backing away slowly. Instead, I smiled, thanked him, and pushed my cart away. Behind me, I heard him say, "I'm sorry. Have a nice day!"
I've been shopping at this place for YEARS, and never had an interaction like that.
But not once did i allow my head to hit the ground.
or really poor falling reflexes...
it could also be his head snapping back from the punch doesn't allow for the same fall control as a natural fall.
@@SonsOfLorgar most of the times i went down on my back was from being punched in the face.
@@SonsOfLorgar Very true.
I still do it, but im always looking around in case anyone sees me doing it.
