It’s been sad for me I’ve spend three months I went from 1070-1370. I took the August SAT but cancelled it because I knew I wasn’t going to get over a 1500.
I’m trying to attempt new studying techniques. I’m struggling so much in English because my passage analysis and context indecencies is shaky. I’m studying weak areas and vocab. Wish me good luck.
My latest practice score was a 1450 so good progress so far.
I am losing motivation or hope but you gave me hope to try again. TYSM
progress is progress, i started at a 1060, to a 1200, to a 1300. i was sad asl but im trying for october, and i will take it every month if i have to, to get it up, u got this
@@fazebugatti988 yes very true. started with 1220 in june (580RW, 640M) and then took august (630RW, 730M). Although not a huge improvement, we gettin it step by step. All the best. And yh same givin october too. Will take all the chances i can.

You are doing so much better than you think! Don't put yourself down for your score, because you already have an impressive practice rank! Just by working to improve yourself and pursue knowledge, you are doing much more than most test takers. You're doing such a great job, and I can't wait to see how far you can go with your studies! bro i have 2 weeks and i want 1450+ but i haven't studied for months like others. I am pretty good at math , i have bad vocab ,i can figure out the meaning of the word if it's similar to another, but i can't spend time on memorizing 500+ words .i am reading slow and grammar is easy i guess .i am working everyday at least 4 hours and sleeping 4 hours. i don't know is it possible to accomplish my goal. but i see that i am improving everyday.

Your 1370 score was the exact same as mine! 650 reading 720 math.

That's insane a 1370's really good but a 1550's exceptional well done. How do you go about studying in general, what do you think about pomodoro and sacrificing sleep to study thanks.
I just got my sep 7 makeup SAT score of 1370 as well today! I feel so disappointed since I did well in practice tests, but I will retake.

theres no reason to memorize words its completely useless on digital sat because of how collegeboard has designed it you can answer without knowing what the words mean
@@pigg3yy i got 720 in english because i got all vocabs on exam, but my reading wasn’t that impressive
@@f1rst701 there’s only like 5 vocab questions so that can’t be the sole reason
@@pigg3yy But usually vocab questions are the ones that make you lose lots of points, so my goal was to make sure all my vocab questions are correct.
@@pigg3yy How? I know the statement restatement rule but theres nothing that can be done if you dont know the meaning of any of the answer choices. Or is there? Please let me know im trying to improve my vocab Qs without having to memorize a thousand words!!

Now, I’m just wondering if anybody else had the same experience as me. My first practice test - that I took without any prep - was 1320. After that, I prepared for a month and started getting pretty solid scores on the practice tests that I did weekly (1500, 1520, 1560 on the latest one). On the actual may SAT I got 1400(700,700) , I wasn’t nervous and felt pretty confident about the test, yet I failed. So now I don’t even know where to get an accurate assessment of my test performance and I can’t even get started on prep again
I wonder where you get more than 2000 vocabularies from. Is that from a book? I am also struggling with the vocab part :

Work on Math more since it's easier to improve. Find the pace for reading and make sure you don't make silly mistakes. It could be possible! Good luck!

Just wanted to ask you a question, but your 2000 words flashcard contained words only from "a" to "g" in alphabetical order.
Do you not need to know words after "h"?

No I think "z" is pronounced as "g". She means every word in alphabetical order. A-Z....

Yea i did. I started on aug 3 and basically finished all studying on aug 15

Weeks left and i want 1550 what to do
Hey I know no school has an SAT requirement, but I have a super score of 1460(reading and writing: 700 and Math: 760) on the SAT... considering that I live in India-where learning for the SAT is not fostered at all, especially in the reading section, it is good, but it is not score that gets people into the ivys. I can't afford to give another attempt, and I am worried I won't get into the college of my dreams. Could you elaborate if I am just overthinking it or if I am completely right.

Hi, I think SAT is def not a deciding factor of or not you can get into ur dream college. There r still lots of ppl who get in with test-opt. It also depends on ur overall profile and whether there's smth that's catchy for ao.
not to put your hopes down but out of millions only 3 percent get in. imagine how much less it is for international students. obviously keep ur hopes up but just letting you know.
you can easily improve your math score by 40 more points and get yourself to a 1500. but tbh it shouldnt matter.

Hey there tysm for this greta video, I took the august sat and I got a 1200 , I also just booked the October sat and I need a 1250 minimum but my dream score is a (1500) do you think I have a chance to either of these goals? especially since the October sat is about 2 weeks from now
I think 1250 minimum is definitely possible. I would say try to eliminate your reading mistakes to ~15 if possible, and work hard on Math since it's easier to improve. Wish you all the best!

How many hours a day did you study? I'm stuck in the 1400's, each practice test has been between 1400-1450. I started out beginning of summer with an 1190, but I can't get it any higher. I'm taking the October SAT, hoping for a 1500. Thank you for your video and insight.
I studied from aug 3 to aug 15, and I was doing strategic practice for different types of reading questions on SAT

All the vocab words i had on my tests were the ones I've seen, so my vocabulary study rly paid off

@@pigg3yy i would agree with you but after realizing that if i took a test with a dictionary i would always get a perfect score im just trying to increase my vocab as much as i can. obviously there are stratgies like root words and context clues which you are talking about but i doubt you have taken the sat if you think context clues can help you answer a question completely. if i gave you a word vyrect (not a real word) no matter if its context or not you would not be able to know if it is right or wrong. that is why i am trying to raw dog it

@@Victa1223 the easiest strategy is to read the sentence out in your mind and fill the blank with each word and select what feels right by instinct. then to check your answer i would suggest using context clues to figure out if the word matches or not. another strategy that sometimes works is if you have even a vague idea of what 3 of the 4 words mean (usually similar because the sat is purely objective and never subjective meaning you wont get two words that are synonyms) then you would know that the 4th has to be the answer.
