I’m trying to attempt new studying techniques. I’m struggling so much in English because my passage analysis and context indecencies is shaky. I’m studying weak areas and vocab. Wish me good luck. @@fazebugatti988 yes very true. started with 1220 in june (580RW, 640M) and then took august (630RW, 730M). Although not a huge improvement, we gettin it step by step. All the best. And yh same givin october too. Will take all the chances i can.

bro i have 2 weeks and i want 1450+ but i haven't studied for months like others. I am pretty good at math , i have bad vocab ,i can figure out the meaning of the word if it's similar to another, but i can't spend time on memorizing 500+ words .i am reading slow and grammar is easy i guess .i am working everyday at least 4 hours and sleeping 4 hours. i don't know is it possible to accomplish my goal. but i see that i am improving everyday.

Thanks for the advice and congrats on your results! Your hard work paid off Now, I’m just wondering if anybody else had the same experience as me. My first practice test - that I took without any prep - was 1320. After that, I prepared for a month and started getting pretty solid scores on the practice tests that I did weekly (1500, 1520, 1560 on the latest one). On the actual may SAT I got 1400(700,700) , I wasn’t nervous and felt pretty confident about the test, yet I failed. So now I don’t even know where to get an accurate assessment of my test performance and I can’t even get started on prep again

I think 1250 minimum is definitely possible. I would say try to eliminate your reading mistakes to ~15 if possible, and work hard on Math since it's easier to improve. Wish you all the best!

@@pigg3yy i would agree with you but after realizing that if i took a test with a dictionary i would always get a perfect score im just trying to increase my vocab as much as i can. obviously there are stratgies like root words and context clues which you are talking about but i doubt you have taken the sat if you think context clues can help you answer a question completely. if i gave you a word vyrect (not a real word) no matter if its context or not you would not be able to know if it is right or wrong. that is why i am trying to raw dog it
@@Victa1223 the easiest strategy is to read the sentence out in your mind and fill the blank with each word and select what feels right by instinct. then to check your answer i would suggest using context clues to figure out if the word matches or not. another strategy that sometimes works is if you have even a vague idea of what 3 of the 4 words mean (usually similar because the sat is purely objective and never subjective meaning you wont get two words that are synonyms) then you would know that the 4th has to be the answer.

Hey I know no school has an SAT requirement, but I have a super score of 1460(reading and writing: 700 and Math: 760) on the SAT... considering that I live in India-where learning for the SAT is not fostered at all, especially in the reading section, it is good, but it is not score that gets people into the ivys. I can't afford to give another attempt, and I am worried I won't get into the college of my dreams. Could you elaborate if I am just overthinking it or if I am completely right.
Hi, I think SAT is def not a deciding factor of or not you can get into ur dream college. There r still lots of ppl who get in with test-opt. It also depends on ur overall profile and whether there's smth that's catchy for ao.
not to put your hopes down but out of millions only 3 percent get in. imagine how much less it is for international students. obviously keep ur hopes up but just letting you know.

you can easily improve your math score by 40 more points and get yourself to a 1500. but tbh it shouldnt matter.
