Absolutely right. If you don't regret it and love what you got, it's always the right decision. Mind you, I'm also a bit like you are. I'd prefer to own more Seikos and GShocks etc ... than one Rolex. They all tell the time and I have zero interest in status symbols. I still get an enormous amount of pleasure buying and owning a $250-$300 Seiko.
What about the Panerai that you got from Michael? You never mentioned that watch once in the video when talking about the watches that you wear. I hope you didn't sell that one as well.
I have a pure smartwatch, but couldn't stand it for long. I need to see those seconds ticking. My cellphone is usually always in front of me, so I definitely don't need another cellphone on my wrist! And no I don't care for monitoring my sleep or heartbeat or any of that other stuff. Having said that I ended up getting a Tissot T-Touch connect solar, which is of course a hybrid, but I use it unconnected, simply loved the look and quality of it.
Batgirl is a fake watch. Seiko never produced that dial or case. It's a clone watch and someone slapped seiko logo on the dial without seiko's consent.

That watch is not a Seiko watch if it has an NH movement (like NH35), because those movements are made by Seiko to be used in other brands' watches, and Seiko never use them for their own watches. Seiko use eg. 4R35 for their own watches. So if you have a watch that has an NH movement and third party parts, plus Seiko written on the dial it is essentially a... FAKE/REPLICA!
Anything moded is fake. The Rolex was fake. Doesn't mean you can't enjoy it. Just admit it's fake. No such thing as "after market". Just fake. If it doesn't have the parts like the brand designed. It's fake. That's why watches with added gemstones go down in value. All fake.

Great decision, if you are not passionate about craftsmanship, the great movements on luxury watches like Rolex, you made the best decision, you are happy with low end watches and Garmin, do what you like, in my case I love mechanical watches, it has never been about telling the time or show off, I own few omegas, including the speedmaster professional and I love them, owning them gives joy to my life, quite different to what you felt with the Rolex and its fine

I can totally relate to this. My main watch I am wearing is either my binary watch (I am in tech, great conversation starter for non-watch people in my industry too) or my casio mdv 107 which I find the perfect watch to compare with a Rolex Submariner. And when people ask me "why a look a like submariner by Casio" I just say: It works the same, and you know who also wears it? Bill Gates does. (which again makes it a great conversation starter for the tech field I am working in 😄) So yeah, just wear what you enjoy the most and starts the best conversations!

A bit like, I got really into tobacco pipes a few years ago, and amassed a collection... A £15 corncob pipe will give me objectively a better smoking experience than a £200 pipe.. Honestly I never u understood why you need a device to keep count/track of a way of living (sleeping, moving, eating etc) I just don’t see the point. I like your custom rolex but i would sell them after wearing for a short time because i get bored of watches fast. I am also a fan of g-shocks and i always afraid of scratching watches so g-shock has some good scratch resistance. The only reason i would buy a rolex is to think that there are 15k on my wrist and i always get my money back , rolex never goes on sale at stores. I bought the Tactix 7 solar when it came out- I was blown away but the utility of it. GPS maps, guided workouts, flashlight, crazy health metrics, golf maps/yardage, it's just a beast of a watch and so practical I just love having it on me. I also have a Garmin Marq 2 athlete, but it still gets less time on my wrist than the Tactix.

I liked your Rolex colours, but prefer the look of the Seiko's for sure, i think you are correct, Rolex more than any other brand is the ' Look what i have achieved' watch brand, i think others are coming into that genre now as well (Omega/Patek etc) you should just buy what you like and enjoy, if that's a Rolex, so be it, but if it's a Seiko/smart watch/Panzera or an Oris (or several) in my case, then so be it. I like your custom rolex but i would sell them after wearing for a short time because i get bored of watches fast. I am also a fan of g-shocks and i always afraid of scratching watches so g-shock has some good scratch resistance. The only reason i would buy a rolex is to think that there are 15k on my wrist and i always get my money back , rolex never goes on sale at stores. Perfect rolex replica cost $500 and i truly beleive its the right price for rolex in general , everything is over that price is about "prestige" and showing off.

Some people collect watches some them sell them to buy some grail watch or they keep the watches or whatever the case maybe and so forth.The thing is watch snobbery is bad this where my Rolex is better my G shock is better my this and that better this arrogant ego look at my watch and worship me narcissistic watch wearers and that goes with lots of other things in life I guess the snobs of the world the ego inflation so have whatever but keep it humble and if you wear the cheapest watch that’s awesome and the most expensive then fine but no snobbery and worship

I have 2 Rolex Subs, but honestly my Tactix 7 Solar gets the most wrist time. That watch is the best tool watch in my opinion, so many great features.

@@NikhilSharma-Capt I wore my black date sub for years, to the point where it's pretty beat up, picked up a starbucks a couple years ago and wear it occasionally. I bought the Tactix 7 solar when it came out- I was blown away but the utility of it. GPS maps, guided workouts, flashlight, crazy health metrics, golf maps/yardage, it's just a beast of a watch and so practical I just love having it on me. I also have a Garmin Marq 2 athlete, but it still gets less time on my wrist than the Tactix.

I liked your Rolex colours, but prefer the look of the Seiko's for sure, i think you are correct, Rolex more than any other brand is the ' Look what i have achieved' watch brand, i think others are coming into that genre now as well (Omega/Patek etc) you should just buy what you like and enjoy, if that's a Rolex, so be it, but if it's a Seiko/smart watch/Panzera or an Oris (or several) in my case, then so be it.
A watch, is a very personal thing sometimes and absolutely up to the individual.... But hey, haters gotta hate eh?
