I know a modified Rolex isn't to everyone's liking, but I've modified every single car I've owned so why wouldn't I make sure my first Rolex was modified too?! Never buy a customized watch unless it's factory customized. That's one thing I learned from the Pride & Pinion channel.

Modded Rolex won’t hold value anywhere to the level he’s implying even if the first owner took the hit. Selling this will require someone wanting it as bad as you and that’s harder than you think.

That’s honestly ridiculously cheap for a luxury watch. Unfortunately the watch he bought was is modified so its crap, and probably worth that now with that coating and bezel
Everything is relative. To some people it is very cheap, to others very expensive.

Don't buy customized watches as an investment. Buy what you want to wear and own for the rest of your life. Also huge congrats!
Exactly, as far as I'm aware, Rolex considers them "Fake" Rolexes and won't warranty them or repair them. Plus PVD finishes wear off.

@@ChrisAlvarezAlvarezImaging You are correct. I have quite a few friends at the Dallas Service Center and they do NOT service them. AD's are supposed to tell the client that the Rolex cannot be serviced. Key word is supposed. They might take your watch, send it to an SC, and waste your time. That's why you have to look for the right AD, or else you're screwed.

freddie ellisdon according to the WHO we should be fine by the upcoming winter so around November 2021 time. Britain is on track to be vaccinated by the summer.

Cool video Adam. The one when you got the Panerai for your birthday was probably my favorite watch related video ever. This was a really cool little sequel, you also got your first Rolex. Yep could have had a nice Sub on Michael then but didn’t want to seem too greedy. Whilst Michael said let’s not discuss prices during that video I’m sure everyone knew the relative prices of the Panarais and the Subs including Adam.
Panerai is a fashion brand when compared with Rolex... I would choose the cheapest Rolex over Panerai

@@kurtoneal buying any watch is a private and personal thing. If you want to show the watch of afterwards - cool. This way is not something Rolex watch owners do; and yes I own a couple of Rolexes and a plethora of different types of watches. Unfortunately he has learnt this style from his mate; and he has definitely learnt his magpie idea of a watch from him. Just because it’s bright and shines - doesn’t make it a good watch/choice - especially if it’s aftermarket additions.
Love to see people buying what they really like and not only caring about value when it comes to buying watches! Congratulations Adam!

That is the only omega watch I would ever buy. However I would be afraid to smack the ceramic Case against anything since ceramic is rather prone to cracking.

@@iOSKrys yeah there is that chance but I think you'd have to be pretty aggressive with it. Like if you hit a stainless steel watch hard enough to dent it. But for general wear and tear it's unmatched.
@@iOSKrys I remember when Rolex first came out with the ceramic bezel inserts and I was thinking to myself, “ceramic? That shits going to scratch and break like crazy.” Turns out it’s not typical ceramic like you would think of. It’s an ultra high-tech form of ceramic made from scratch by Rolex and it’s virtually indestructible unless you like take a hammer to it and purposefully try to destroy it. Otherwise it is unequivocally unmatched in its strength and robustness. I have a few myself and the ceramic bezel is the only part of the watch, along with the crystal, that doesn’t have a scratch on it.
@@michaelfleming8490 Nice to hear from your experience. I only came along the ceramics topic during my studying and thats just a typical characteristic of ceramic material in general. Definitely Rolex made sure to test their watches and choose/create a durable ceramic.
I like the look of the dark side of the moon watch because it’s so understated. In Germany there is a very strong social envy so it’s nice to not attract more attention than you need to. People don’t think too well of you if you drive a fancy car or wear a flashy watch.

Of all the different salesmen that Adam and Michael have dealt with, Seth is by far the best. He just talks to you like another person. No pressure to buy, he lets the watches do the talking.

Congrats mate on your first Rolex. I am a big watch enthusiast and have a small collection myself. However, I feel like you should have bought the factory piece, especially for your first Rolex. The attention to detail, the polishing, the factory dial with 18k applied white gold markers and hands, trust me it’s a work of art by Rolex. However, the after market dial/bracelet is beautiful but just not the same!

I bet that's for security and/or insurance purposes or something like that. Could also be some cray tax loophole thing (we're talking about Beverly Hills/LA/California after all), where it's cheaper to have a very profitable shop like this inside a building without direct access to a street.

Seth is the coolest dude. I worked in luxury retail for a few years and lots of salesmen are pompous jerks, but Seth reminds me of my favorite people in the industry. If I’m ever fortunate enough to buy a Rolex it’ll be from him.

Seiko’s are well respected in the world of horology. Seiko makes some of the finest watches in the world. 8R35, 8R55, 9S65, 9R65... arguably better than Rolex movements.
buddy add 50$ and buy Citizen eco drive bl8700 there is lots of otpion. I'm IT/ET engineer, using it everyday during the work, climbing swimming since 2015. swear I never sew anything reliable like that. impressive watch.

I’m fortunate to own a Daytona bi-colour in mother of Pearl face and absolutely love her.
Though I do think Rolex the company are snobs in some of there ways..
I appreciate they may want to keep the price overvalued..
