- A successful session on the softies, back where it all started for me- The Bay Of Islands.
One of my favorite styles of lure fishing, hard up against the rocks! This one was a bit of a nostalgic trip for me, fishing in very familiar waters.
Hope you guys and gal's enjoy the action.

Loving your channel mate, definitely keep it up =) I reckon you could do something pretty cool with a go pro under the yak somehow?
Thanks mate, appreciate it. Definitely could do some awesome underwater with another gopro. If I can ever afford more camera gears I Definitely wanna try it
@ seeing the ess word on screen,it was definitely a shark.😅
The tax man seems to follow me wherever I go😅
Hello sir, I am a beginner. Can I ask you a question? Can you tell me how to choose the right jighead weight?
Hey mate, of course. Jighead weight depend on four factors.
Water depth
Water current/drift speed
Lure size and buoyancy.
In an ideal world you'll select the lightest jighead that still allows you to get to the bottom. In deeper water and or stronger current you'll need a heavier jighead and in shallower Water or where the drift speed is less you'll need a lighter jighead.
For myself if I'm fishing in less than 15m of water with minimal current I use a 1/2 Oz jighead. Then go up in weight as waterdepth/current increases.
I always go as light as possible, as the longer the lure is suspended in the water collum whilst sinking the more the fish seem to want it.
Hope that helps mate
Man ive been checking yt for the last few days, each day im like “surely a new nomadic kayak vid” and now im a day late😭😭, nonetheless…
