- This is easily one of the best MV this year because of its execution!!! I’ve been wanting to see this concept done for so long and because they did it so well I can’t help but have this big feeling of satisfaction! The aesthetic, the playfulness, the effects, the bouncing colours between blue for the water/dive and pink for love etc. It’s so good!!! Plus the mirrors! Real ones and in the dance!!! Ahhh SO GOOD! Since they’re singing about Narcissi who fell in love with themselves I believe by looking into a mirror, they’ve implemented that in the dance and it’s perfect! Which is why it makes me wonder whether this is a love song or a love yourself song if that makes sense. If it is the later, I like this concept even more! The girls looked astonishingly stunning here, they’re ALL glowing and shining in their respective panels and individual moment!
Ngl I was worried about the dance part when I saw it because I was solely focused on Yujin during that part and she sold it oof But I don’t think the dance is that suggestive that it would be problematic. At least at hope so.
The song is growing on me already but I think on a first listen the chorus didn’t stick to me as much as “eleven” (this song has a chokehold on me) but I’m positive “love dive” will grow on me! I already like the house element of the song and their deeper voices here! I love their voices, so charming!
Basically, concept wise it is 100%, the song will have to grow on me. It was the opposite for “Eleven” lol

LITERALLY SAME! I think them doing something completely different from their debut song helped them escape the comparison of which is better. That was so smart, very Everglow of them. This comeback was literally AMAZING and still feels different from the kpop market yet closer to it than Eleven. Genius, Starship is not playing. 😭

2:55 OMG YOU WERE RIGHT! It's not a typical love song, they are in love with themselves HAHA. The lyricist just shared the meaning, It's inspired by Narcissus (the greek god) who saw his own reflection in the lake for the first time and fell in love so he dived into the lake (hence LOVE DIVE / the album cover looks like LOVED IVE). The lyrics goes "narcisistic, my god I love it" and they were doing the mirror gestures. In the MV they're the cupids, they're making us falling in love with our own self and dive in the lake like Narcissus "oh perfect sacrifice" lol. I love everything about this song

I'VE's title tracks has an easy song structure nothing much but simple and I love this simplicity it also makes them unique. Their songs are always catchy and easy to listen to. My girls always deliver 😌♥️.
Narcissus was the dude in Greek mythology who saw his reflection in a river, became obsessed with himself and wasted his life away due his own fixation on himself. It’s one of those “warning” type myths (and narcissism is psychological/personality disorder where one has a grandiose image of themselves and cannot empathise, it’s quite dangerous). The way the girls mirror each other with their dance is genius! Love the concept, the song is incredible.

Maybe love dive is not as catchy as eleven, but I like how they're going by their own "colours" and not being dictate by the giants like AESPA/itzy for example,
and the album is so diverse in terms of genre, There's everything for everyone, and FOR SURE DO I LOVEEE ROYAL! the rap? The high note! Chord progressions? Perfect b side !

I gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised by this comeback. I didn’t have my hopes up for this because of how amazing Eleven was but it’s almost as good for me! Plus anytime Yujin’s at the center of a dance break I’m guaranteed to like it.
I love how this song doesn't need high note adlibs to stand out like the rest of groups. They were given comfortable tones to sing, and they still sound good!

This kind of give me sunmi vibes the only reason i said that is because sunmi love concepts like this omg i love this song.
