- Shiloh, the 23 year old parrot, was at the rescue centre for 16 years and was given up by his previous owners for being too noisy. Justyne was volunteering at the shelter and fell in love with the cockatoo. When he came home, he adjusted really well, and started singing like an opera star again!

Would you like to wake up to Shiloh's serenades?🎤
I wouldn't mind!
Waking up to Shiloh's serenades beats waking up to loud and noisy cars by a far any day!
Oh no. Oh NO NO NO NO NO.
lol I wake up to my G2 barking, roaring like a dinosaur, babbling gibberish or calling me. Sometimes he just screams. I’ve never had a bird before that is anything but sleeping quietly in the dark but for some reason cockatoos don’t care what time it is when they get a burst of energy and need to release it from their beak lol. I always get up and go check on him to make sure he’s ok and hasn’t been frightened by something outside. Typically he’s just happily doing his thing. Strange nighttime behavior for a bird, I think. In the wild, birds don’t want to call any attention to themselves when nighttime predators are lurking in the darkness. I wonder why cockatoos are so different in so many ways from any other species of birds lol. It IS what drew me to them in the first place. I love love love my Goffin’s boy. Shout out to my ZaZu for being the best little peachy noisy boy ever lol ❤
Yes!!!
I was smiling all the way watching this adorable bird who has definitely found a wonderful home 😍
Exactly ❤
Your smile is our joy! We're thrilled that Shiloh's antics brought a smile to your face. Thanks for joining in on the joy! 😍
the collar only makes him more adorable!
I met Shiloh at the Wilson Parrot Foundation about 5 years ago. He was very sweet, but subdued. He would hold up his claw and say "hello" because he really wanted to be held. I'm so happy to see how well he's doing. His family has really brought him out of his shell 😀
I'm crying
BECAUSE OF *YOU* SETH
Bless your hearts! 16 years in a shelter?!? These birds crave interaction. I'm so happy that Shiloh has the right home now. I need a Kleenex!! Tears of joy.
Seeing him jumping around on the bed at the end there was absolutely adorable. Bless Justyne for doing learning all about Cockatoo’s to give Shiloh the best possible life. He’s certainly found a fantastic home ❤🇦🇺
Absolutely, that scene of Shiloh jumping around on the bed is a daily dose of joy! Justyne has been a blessing, putting in the effort to learn about Cockatoos and providing Shiloh with the best possible life🦜❤️
Amazing and poignant. Cockatoos are extraordinary creatures, they really are.
Yes they very much are just like so many other amazingly awesome and super intelligent animals
I love all birds. I used to raise Cockatiels. I've had 3 goffins cockatoos. They are small compared to Moluccans like the one in the video. They are so fun.
I watched a video of guy whose neighbors called the police because they heard someone screaming “help! Let me out!” Cops came, found it was the bird. I loved it!
I've seen that one! It was an Amazon lol.
A bird got a woman sent to jail for killing her husband, the parrot was the star witness.
Omg that was so funny!! As soon as the man said I'll go get the culprit, I knew it was a naughty little birb 😆
@@myview5840 I saw that plot on a Perry mason rerun.
When you look in a parrot's eyes, you swear there is a person in there. Their intelligence level is off the charts for a non-human . . . and sometimes for a human.
There is a person in there!
Cockatoos are people, too! They play, grieve, get angry, learn & solve problems just like us 🥰
Macaws too, they’re not as EXTRA as a Mollucan Too but after 32 years my big bird and I know one another very well. We lost our two smaller parrots, severe macaw and cherry head conure 2017 and 2021 respectively💔. My conure was with me 34 years. Severe macaw I raised from a chick, she was 27. The more time you spend with them they stronger relationship becomes. The bond becomes very strong. Thank you for giving this bird his forever home.
Birds have language. They've proven it before and some people have even been able to understand what they're saying in bird language. Some Native Americans for instance could tell you what the birds were saying to each other warning about how many people were coming, from where, etc.
I've even seen a bird with its handler teaching her the word for objects in bird language. She would say it in English and he would say it in bird. Just because humans are so short sighted we walk around thinking we're the only people with language while animals and even insects communicate with each other constantly. I find it not only beautiful to know they're self aware beings who communicate and love like we do but incredibly sad because people treat animals like they don't understand anything and hurt them constantly like they don't matter.
If a parrot was in a shelter, he would have been adopted within a day.
Adorable. Bless Shiloh and his lovely humans.
Omgoodness...
Shiloh is absolutely adorable. I love his lil hops in the hallway. Lol
Brings joy to my heart to see Shiloh so loved by his family. Enjoy many more blessed years together.❤ 🦜❤
Your comment warms our hearts! Shiloh's lil hops in the hallway are just too cute, aren't they? We're so grateful for the joy he brings, and your kind words mean the world ❤️🦜❤️
I love his beautiful collars, they serve a purpose and look so pretty ❤
He runs like a mini T-rex. I really hope he will live with this family for the rest of his life.
So when he screeches, he's just channeling his inner Yoko Ono. Something no-one wants to hear. But otherwise he can actually sing.
Wow 16 years in rescue. How sad. But how happy for Shiloh now.
SUPER! S o happy Shiloh is out of hte sancutary-16 years? wow! Love that Shiloh is loved now!!!
Everything she said = ❤❤❤❤
Love the fashionable selection of chest protectors Shiloh has! 👍
What's t protecting him from himself?
@@spicybrown75 The protector is so that Shiloh doesn't pluck out his own feathers when he's anxious, nervous, or upset.
@@EyeSeeThruYou oh I see. They're adorable prints just like the baby 🐥
@@spicybrown75 They are! And he has such a nice collection of them, I wonder if his mom is making them for him. It's so cute to see his "special bibs" on him when he sings :)
Is there somewhere that Someone can buy these collars you use? Or do you make some yourself? And if so, do you have a instruction video on how to make them?
He’s living the best life.💕
🦜😻❤️
@@CuddleBuddiesChannel I like how he is walking.. it's so funny. But I am wondering if the sound we hear while he is walking is from him or it's a funny background?
Shiloh is adorable, so cute and so hilarious and bless your hearts for adopting him!🦜😻❤️ I just can't believe that he was in a shelter for 16 years, 16 years! And no one had come along to adopt him until now? But bless you for doing this, seeing how special he is and giving him a great home!😻❤️
Thank you so much for your kind words! Shiloh truly is adorable and brings so much joy into lives. It's heartbreaking to think he spent 16 years in a shelter. Every day with Shiloh is a delight🦜😻❤️
@@CuddleBuddiesChannel I completely agree with you and you are most welcome for my kind words!
Cockatoo cuddles are the best❤❤

Thank you so much for taking the time to learn how to be a great parrot parent.
Love this!!! Thanks for rescuing him!!! ❤😊❤
❤ Best forever home ever ❤
THANK YOU for responsibly adopting Shiloh, not buying, and providing a loving home. So funny he is 'sometimes' in tune since 'Toos not known for their singing
❤️❤️❤️
When i was in Portugal for vacation there was a building, everytime you passed its balcony you heard a parrot go ”Óla”.
At one time me and my sister was in the middle of a discussion and we heard ”Óla….óla?”
We kept talking until we heard an offended ”ÓLA!!!???!!!””
We where ofcourse obliged to answer.
It is the least one can expect.
To be polite to parrots. 🦜
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This is a bird with a loving familj. You are lovely people and bird.😊❤❤😊
Adorable ❤
Shiloh!!!!!!❤
Thank you for giving him a loving home and a great life.
Love that guy!!!🥰🥰🥰
💞💞
Awwww I'm so happy he got adopted by a wonderful family that loves him to pieces!! Too many Too's are neglected & don't get the love & attention they so desperately need, hence the pluucking problems... I'm soo happy!! What a sweet bundle of fluffiness he is 🥰😇🥳
If he's plucking, that means he's highly stressed.
He is a beautiful companion ❤
He’s adorable!!!🥰🥰🥰
What a handsomr boy. I jist love him. I'm so happy that he got adopted by someone who will really love him. He's so precious
He’s lucky he has you now 😁
Shiloh is a joy. I had a couple of smaller parrots years ago and fell in love. Hoping my husband and I can rescue a parrot in our older years.
My cockatoo is about to turn 24. He's my Y2K baby boy. The reality is cockatoos are extremely demanding, unbelievably noisy, and they are incredibly messy. But if you can make that work they are so full of affection. They're very sweet.
Plucking problem indicates he is bored and not happy. A form of neurosis. Sometimes even if you do your best, it is not enough. He probably needs social time with other cockatoos. Some animals are very hard to keep as pets because our lifestyle does not allow their natural behavior. These birds fly in flocks, mate for life, and need the company of other birds. He will go stark crazy if confined to a house. Try finding a flock somewhere, or getting him a mate. They will entertain themselves. What a handful! Amazing birds, but would drive me nuts. It is a full time 24/7 job.
That bird is better at throwing than you are, haha.
He is so cute and precious! What a smart bird. He is a great bird. God bless you and your family!
OH MY GOODNESS! this fella is older than me, im glad he finally has his home.
Oh, my goodness, he's the cutest thing...lol! I luv his chest-protecting fashion! Adorable, and he seems soo happy!! ❤
"for being too noisy" 🙄🙄🙄🙄
It’s so sweet that he loves music 😭 I have a budgie and she loves it when I play music or sing for her, I bought a lyre because she likes my string instruments the best. She doesn’t really want me to touch her but she loves when we’re having music time.
Shiloh singing in his sleep is priceless ❤
Thanks to kind rescuers. Here in Canberra we are lucky to have large flocks of sulphur-crested cockatoos, which, being real smart, are easily attracted into gardens and onto decks.
I have wanted a bird since I wad a little girl. Never got..but I remember why I wanted one now. He's so sweet.
0:57 lol who's that? Wilson parrot foundation employee?
Beautiful singer ❤❤❤
So sweet to see the bird so happy
True opera diva
What a little character. ❤️
In the 1980's I was a Yankee living in Oz. My fiance drove me through the outback of Queensland and there were fields and crops on both sides of the dirt road we were driving on. As we drove down this road, my guy honked the truck horn and hundreds of cockatoos flew up from the fields. It was incredible to see.
He’s lucky to have found you
awwwwww
I love that you accept him for his 'uniqueness' 😉. I noticed a 'typo' because it's a "Moluccan Cockatoo" not Moroccan. The Moluccan Islands a.k.a. The Spice Islands are a part of Indonesia.
❤ He's not only intelligent, he's simply adorable. I'm glad he's truly free to be himself, all the time. You guys are wonderful loving parents to a magnificent creature. ❤
Omg he's so cool!
They are the most amazing birds on our planet. I am madly in love with all of them.
Moluccan cockatoos are very smart. I had one about 40 years ago. Real characters.
OMG a first-time bird parent; how brave and daring and absolutely heartwarming! “Stop eating the wall!” :)
Dzień Dobry Miło Znów Zobaczyć Wasz Wesoły Film o Kochanych Urwisach Kudłatych i Pierzastych Pozdrawiam Was Serdecznie Elik ❤❤🐈🐈🐕🐕🐦🐦🦜🦜🐾🐾❤❤🍀🍀🌞🌞😊😊
Wait, they got a parrot an then dumped it for being "too loud?"... *Then why get a parrot!?* People just confuse me. Its like getting a fish an returning it because it swims too much.
What do you mean, "old"? He's middle-aged at most. He still has 20 to 60 years ahead of him with the right care. Plenty of time and love to give and receive 😊 I'm glad he found a loving forever home
Love the hopping!!
💕💕💕
As an Australian I know cockatoos very well do you know that they live till they are 120 years old I have a rainbow lorikeet and they lived all over 30
A shame he never gets to fly though. Can he actually fly? or is there a wing problem?
Upon first seeing him, thought that he was wearing a pool float :D ❤❤❤❤❤❤
The old owner gave him up to a shelter for being too loud and left them there for 16 years ….. who gives an F what they think is a good fit
Doing a beautiful job, Justine.
Habe a lovely life together.
What a happy bird. He knows how much he is loved.
That wide-mouth face in the thumbnail is hilarious🤣🤣
What's with all the restrictive collars?? That is horrible for the bird.
Awe what a blessing Shilohs Family is for Loving him so dang much and giving him the Freedom to play and roam about and sing till his hearts 💕 content. Its so Amazing Thankyou for sharing with us ❤ 🦜🐦🐥
Thank you for caring for this beautiful bird!
Have u thought of play time with another bird?
Cockatoos- sweet angels with chainsaws attached to their face!
If you are loved by a cockatoo, you are truly, deeply adored.❤️
That was a great video , thank you ❗️🇺🇸
He’s so darn cute and he’s so blessed to have you as his parrot parents😂🙏🏻❤️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
He discovered that you are his peeps!! 💕
