I had 2 beavers on my property. When ever I would do work outside, they would always come over from the other side of the lake to watch what I was doing. I love having them around. They never bothered or did anything wrong.

@@JazzyGeneX lots of recent research shows that areas that have a healthy beaver population have less damaging wildfires, largely because of their wetlands, which are fire breaks and just something that doesn't burn as much.
It’s amazing how scientists have discovered how vitality important beaver dams are to the environment. There were a few families of beavers that built a series of dams so vast up in the farthest reaches of north country you could see them with sati-light images.
They still do this for watersheds and wetland rehabilitation. One of the projects was near my house and its incredible. In 2 years the beavers have completely transformed the area and wildlife has returned including salmon. The beavers did more in 2 years then decades of taxpayer funded human interventions.
Or they just don’t have a full appreciation of them and neither are that. Though I’ve not really heard anyone classify them as such most don’t run into them that often really unless they somehow gum up water based construction but I haven’t heard of that.
Yeah, they are nuisances, not because they aren’t adorable and beautiful and deserve to be rescued and given a home elsewhere, but their dams cause a whooooole lot of damage, it can actually get bad…but they can be given a better area to live rather than exterminated, we just need to do better about following through with doing so

They don't. They are a nuisance because of the damage they do and when they dam up a stream or river it can cause lots of ecological damage to the surrounding areas and to the areas that rely on that water source. Humans are the only animals in the world that do anything to actively help the environment.

And they do not understand property and other abstract made up ideas like that, so they are not doing anything wrong either, and if they are not doing anything wrong, then how can they be a nuisance?
People who use their time to look after animals in need are my favorite people in the world. And the noises Beavers make are heart melting little squeaks.

Beavers have a permanent smile because of how their face is shaped and they sound like cooing babies. They can chew your limbs off if they want to. Why is danger so adorable and baby-like? My motherly instincts kicked in when I heard it cooing like a baby. I know when a baby is hungry, dirty diaper and needs cuddly mom time, I guess it doesn't matter what species it is. 😊❤ I actually was chased by a family of beavers when I was younger with my grandfather, we were fishing at a lake and a family of beavers climbed into our boat and tried to steal my fishing pole. I ended up finding sticks and brought lots of leafs and the family decided it was enough and went to bring the gifts back to their dam. My grandfather was impressed and very proud of me. He taught me well and I used the knowledge he gave me. We returned to that fishing spot every year and the beavers knew us and they didn't mind. I left them sliced apples every visit we did. I got to watch the babies grow up. ❤😊
Our family have been watching the antics of tulip from the start, through her battle with the skin infection, her banana tantrums and her love of the coloured rings. We thank you for your love and care that you give to the animals that you have❤❤❤❤

We seem to have lots of research on Beavers. Their importance to their habitats is not well known. Co-existing strategies will always be about awareness of their importance, education and the infrastructure, boots on the ground. Involving border communities is absolute. 🦫

They classified nuisance because they clogg drains it doesn't means they're not cute or have to be exterminated.
