    "It's not about knowing all the answers." This is so important, and why I encourage all students to take at least one or two philosophy classes. Not because it's going to lead to a career in professional philosophy (whatever that is), but because philosophy teaches you how to think. Mastering the skill of asking the right questions is invaluable. Thanks Conor! Long time follower of your channel.

    This information is beyond fantastic. I have watched so many videos on TH-cam. Yours are by far the best. I have only seen three videos. I already believe the information is changing my life. It is the way that you teach...that is helping it to resignate. I watched a video from at least 15 years ago. The information was alive and vibrant. Watched a recent video and it has only gotten better. How I missed this all these years boggles my mind. Although, discovering your work as I look to lead a new business endeavor...is perfect timing really. I never acquired the MBA that I sometimes believe great CEO must have. Yet I have always remained curious and study as much I as could to prepare for the role...I honestly have to say I got the same feeling I had as a young kid when I knew who my favorite teacher was...at 43 almost 44 you officially have taken that spot. Like discovering how great David Bowie really was a few years ago, I believe learning from you, will add something to my experience that could add value for years to come. Where have you been all my life Conor?!? Haha Appreciate you and your approach to teaching. 😃

    Strong stuff. Aside from the very good advice, I also like how you began this segment by asking them to write down the names of the people that inspire those inspiring qualities are. That's a great way to get them involved and invested. My favorite point is about honesty. How can we act authentically even through we're in a role. That's a key dilemma for leaders. Thanks for sharing!

    Thank you Conor. That was a brilliant video/ talk. I loved it. I loved no. 1 on honestly and it’s approach for a leader. However, when flip that for the subordinate, my experience is it is under appreciated! Which fundamentally it is not a good practice towards leadership. I hope it is only my experience

    So you recommend to have books on your desk because the image it communicates?
    How can you talk about learning about oneself and the importance of being oneself and acceptance at the same timethat you are remarking the importance of the right set up of our desk by having books on it? Can we have books because we use books? How bad is to use books and not to show we use them? where is the autenticity, in being or showing we are? what is adding to show and create an image on top of really being? It seams to me that one will put more effort on building the image instead of being

      Rubana, perhaps break it down to greatness on an everyday level. Maybe you observe a parent caring for a child in a way that you approve of, or being served as a customer by a diligent and swift employee. Maybe seeing the skillset of a favourite artist or sportsman and imagining the time it took to learn that skill. Now stand back and inspire yourself by seeing YOU as one who is able to recognise the skills in others that they have learnt. Knowledge is simply interest. Can you be inspired by someone who was interested enough in something to learn more and practise and perfect their techniques?

    • @future_proof
      @future_proof 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rakeshkumar.5457 I learned English by listening to English radio and English songs(listen to the classics if you can!) and whenever I got the chance, I watched English movies. And I used good English to talk to people and I wrote in English too. After some time, I realized good English is like a song: it's smooth and like a poem. I have never gone to school to learn English, never sat in a classroom but I scored in the top 4% in national English tests. You can do it too!
