I agree w/ the others, you would either need to use less product and build it up or (if it doesn't want to build) you can put some setting powder underneath where you would have the fall out before doing the lower lash line so you can just sweep it away. Another option is to do more of a dabbing motion instead of sweeping it across. The sweeping motion is what is causing the fall out because its so powdery.

I think this look came out really pretty despite the trouble it gave you. I haven't tried Dandy Lions but when it comes to super powdery shadows, I always take the excess off on the back of my hand and then apply to the lid with quick stamping motions. This makes most of the pigment stay where you put it. The less you flick the brush, the less fallout you will have. You can also pat a matte shade on with a finger which will give you better color payoff. I do it all the time!

So, what I sometimes do instead of flicking off is dabbing the brush on the back of my hand a couple times. Some fallout will go on there, the rest will be pushed into the bristles of the brush more, making application a bit easier.

All of my shadows from them have the large stickers and it is not my fave. It gets caught and peels up. It just looks amateur. I’m glad to see that they have changed it to a smaller one.

In terms of using a makeup wipe, you can always use moisturizer and either a tissue or a q-tip.

I just place some powder under my eyes with a beauty sponge, nothing special, I just use the elf setting powder so that I can easily dust any fallout away without ruining my makeup. Afterwards I make sure to dust off any excess and then sometimes I’ll add a little bit of brightening powder under the eyes. I only do my eye makeup first if I’m working with really dark shadows or doing something more creative that might need cleanup, otherwise I just prefer having my concealer done first. I guess you could also invest in those eyeshadow shields too if you really wanted to.

99% of the time I do my all my eye makeup before my base. I love my Dandy Lions mattes but yeah they kick up a lot of powder so I always tell people that when I recommend them. I feel Dandy Lions makes some amazing colors that I reach for again and again.

I agree and they have some really unique tones for a great price! I love their pigment and easy blendability and tapping my brush before I apply prevents fall out and makes it all worth it. ❤

Why not do your lower lash line before the base, and then once you do your base, just use a fluffier brush along the lower lash line to diffuse any harsh lines

These are so pretty but damn the powder!! When you were tapping off your brush it just kept coming off and like.. you barely even dipped the brush in lol! I do my eyes first usually but like to do my lower lash line later on after concealer and foundation, however if I know I have a shadow that’s probably going to cause fallout, I’ll do my lower lash line before any base products. Concealer helps to clean up that line and fallout, but if I’m going for a more blown out look then I’ll just take a small amount post-concealer, make sure it’s tapped off and blend it out gently. Usually does the trick even though it can be more of a pain! But sometimes I just do what you did and tap off my brush, if it doesn’t give enough pigment I’ll repeat a couple times and just build it up, but it can be more time consuming. Another thing that can work if you use powder under the eyes is to do your lower lash line after you’ve powdered because then fallout doesn’t stick as much and can be easily brushed away with a fluffy powder brush. I have dry skin and don’t always powder though but I used to have to do this all the time! Fallout can be so annoying, especially when it’s a freaking blue 😂 like damn I just spent all that time covering my dark blue circles for NOTHING haha

Try tapping it into the brush instead of tapping out. Turned the brush up and tap ❤️

Altitude by Lethal Cosmetics I highly recommend

Agreed! I have it. It's also a light periwinkle blue. However, it is also quite powdery. I don't know if there's a big difference between Altitude and the dandilions blue in terms of powderiness.

Haha why is the Flourish sticker so big!! 😂 great video I hadn’t heard about this brand!

Pretty! My solution for powdery shadows on the lower lash line issue is to use a finger rather than a brush 😅 Also to use much less product and spend time depositing and building a few times over

Hey girl! I wanted to tell you that I have prob like 30-40 of their mattes (their sparkly shades aren’t super great. Metallics are good though.) But if you’re looking for a light pink like in Multichromatica’s look, try Rosa! And I deal with the fallout by just tapping my brush once before I apply it which (imo) is not a huge deal. But anyway I like your look!!

Oh also, I love the owner of this brand. He runs a one man show for the most part with his business. I’m also glad to see that he must be replacing the stickers with smaller ones. I usually just press the stickers on the sides if they’re a little off. But would be better if didn’t have to at all.

I absolutely love powdery mattes so I've wanted to try these but I never know when their sales are and I'm too stubborn to not try em on sale. TM mattes are also very powdery and I've found the best way to apply them is without primer. They dont budge and I dont get fallout, but that might just be the TM formula and not a powdery matte thing in general.

Oh man, I absolutely loathe soft, powdery mattes! 👎🏻 My favorite matte formula was Menagerie, as well. It makes me so sad they don't do singles anymore. 😭 Lately I've been turning to ColourPop for mattes, although I'm curious to try Lethal and Nomad in the future.

I wonder if you tried pushing the shadows in instead of sweeping them on, if you get so much fallout

I want to try Dandylions mattes at some stage, but like you, I feel like I don't need the most massive array of mattes? I have lots from Glamshop mattes because I live in Europe, and their powderiness never used to bother me, but I've had 3 of them shatter in the past 3 months and I haaaaate repressing shadows, so that's kinda dampened my enthusiasm for them 😅 I prefer GS's regular mattes to their ultra mattes, but it's become more difficult to tell the difference now that it isn't in the English shadow descriptions and there's no way to filter between the two formulas

Never tried this brand before. But I was curious about your thoughts since you’re looking for perfect mattes and everyone raves about theirs. They seem pretty run of the mill to me. 🤔🤔

I wonder how Flourish will look on your lower lashline tapped off, if it would still have enough pigment to show up 🤔
