- Instead of Chloe interrupting Clarks training in the Fortress of Solitude in the 5th season of Smallville, I put together a video to show Clark go through his education and become Superman! This video has footage from Smallville episode Arrival with Tom Welling as the Young Clark Kent and Superman The Movie with Marlon Brando as Jor-el and Christopher Reeve as Superman.

This is one of the best mixes of Superman the Movie and Smallville. I love how they are making the show mirror the movie mythos. Hopefully they will allow Tom Welling to put on the suit before the show ends. Kudos to this video in putting both iconic visions together.

I've always loved the theme to Planet Krypton, and the theme during the 18 years of tutelage. Marlon Brando is amazing as Jor-El. They made a wise choice casting him. I like the show Smallville too. Tom Welling is great as young Clark Kent. I'm glad you spliced my favorite things together when Superman Returns was a disappointment to me. Long live Christopher Reeve.

A perfect combination of two of the finest adaptions of the Superman saga: "Smallville" & "Superman The Movie".
This would be a movie I really want to see at the cinema (sorry, but imo, Sinder's "Superman Returns" was one huge craptacular!) Tom Welling IS this generations Superman.

the "Superboy" comics of an alternate earth.Clark will
not wear the supersuit if they stay true to form. He will wear a costume, but not what you think...

" I love it, I wish it had been exactly like this, well except that there wouldn't be any trouble with Smallville and he returns not fully as Superman but he announces his determination to protect Earth which is now his new home.

I absolutely agree that Welling has done a great job. Thank god he didn't go "showbiz" and act crazy in his personal life like britney or paris. And I agree...the perfect ending for Smallville is Welling wearing the suit and flying off.
That's so cool - well done..now let's have a great Justice League movie in the next year or so.

First. Great video. Tom welling should have been the new Superman in the movie but...with Smallville still in production and doing great (best show ever) it was not an option.

The show is about how everything that happens AROUND him affects him and helps him to become the man he does. Sheesh... get your head out of that hole. Of course it's about him, it's all about him, even when he's hardly there. It's his "world", it's about what comes out of Smallville. Put the pieces together.

I'm a big heart fan of "Smallville." It would be awesome to see a movie after the series of Smallville. I think Tom Welling plays his role really well and Michael Rosenbaum (hope that's spelled correctly) has been playing out Lex Luthor pretty good. I'm excited for the 7th Season to start.

Nice. The beginning of Superman the Movie should be re-edited with the actors from the Smallville show. Welling is very good as Clark.
I think Tom Welling would be great as a potential Superman for the Justice League Movie. After now 7 seasons of avoiding being put in the red & blue longjohns for the show, he could don them for this movie....
Great Vid...I wish they would've hired a voice over artist to do a dead on impersonation of Brando and CGI'd a Brando Likeness with to it for Smallville.

I think a restart to the Superman franchise would be great with the Smallville cast. Sort of like Batman and Bond, do a remake of the original, redo Superman II the way it was supposed to, and go from there. Forget Superman Returns. It wasn't worthy.
This is how smallville should have ended, it disturbs me what they've done with the superman story after season 4.

Awesome video! Too bad that Smallville strayed far from its original premise to show the transition from farm boy to superhero and let Clark Kent remain the most stagnant character on the show. And the show is about him!

I think smallville is good, its making the story of superman different and alowing a new generation to understand adn relate to it, I knew some may wish for them to have tom in the suit but you have to wonder for the smallville format would work??

It is Christopher Reeve, not REEVES. That was George. I think most know the original superman, but the 1970s adaptation using Christopher was probably the finest, although I have enjoyed all the superman stories, to some extent, throughout the years.
The music definitely goes with fortress scene. Too bad the series can't use the music from the movies because of copyrights.
Superman Returns had a budget of $200 million. It's box office is $400 million.
Not bad. I never noticed how the end of Superman:Returns was pretty much exactally like the first Superman. Kinda like a tribute huh.

the moment they make him fly he would have reached his potential because he is afraid of heights right now. Once he flies the series will be over with that season. Michael Rossenbaum may not even come back next season

The promise only applies to Clark. in season 4 Kal-El was the one that could fly not Clark,and Kara can fly because she not Clark.
i agree wit u, with some of smallville episodes,
but when they make the movie with the smallville cast wit tom, micheal, erica & aron
they can change the story a little for the big screen, improve the effects, create a new set like the daily planet, luthor masion can be diferent as well,

from all I have seen, Brandon is bigger. He worked out better and was in better shape. But the point was, Reeve doesn't look anything like Welling. Brandon looks like Reeve, in facial features.
They will. But probably the very last 3 seconds of the very last episode. Same with the suit. :(
