  • Ever wondered how those spicy and yummy chili oils from your fave dimsum favorites are made? If you're like me who likes a good spicy kick from Chinese cuisine or any Asian food, then you might as well have a Chili Oil ready in your kitchen. It's very easy to make, and can be stored for months! So stop buying those chili oils in a jar and buy fresh chili's and cook some for your kitchen.

    • @RicasHomeySpace
      @RicasHomeySpace  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dirkaka Lugalo yep you can definitely use dried chilis. i recommend na i soak mo muna sa tubig yung chilis, then drain it. Reason why I advise you to do that para di flaky and malambot yung chilis pag luto na.
      Hope that helps. ;-)

    There's NO search box on your site, thats a bad element to leave out of a web design page. It has "quick keyword search" but that's no good to me, thats the only fault I see in your website. • @RicasHomeySpace
      @RicasHomeySpace  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh my.. so sad to hear about sa nangyari nung niluto mo. :-( I'll try to be specific kung bakit nagka amag/molds.
      This recipe calls for water so it's important na yung tubig dapat nag fully evaporate na. Yung tipong wala ka nang steam nakikita lumalabas pag niluluto mo). Kasi pag may tubig pa it creates moisture. Then the moisture is the perfect breeding ground for molds.
      Tip 2: Cook it properly sa oil muna. And make sure to use bagong mantika. wag yung ginamit na.
      Tip 3: Storage: Make sure glass jar gamitin mo with tight lid na walang hangin na nakakapasok kasi moisture + air = amag/molds. Avoid using plastic containers.
      Yung chili oil na niluto ko for this video umabot pa ng 4 months di ko na nilagay pinasok sa ref.

    • @queriqi6111
      @queriqi6111 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Try a lower temperature. You know it's right when the garlic can sizzle when added but doesn't brown quickly.

      Hi Jourdan, yung tubig is to soften the chili. Just add about 1/4 cup and make sure it thoroughly dissolves from the heat. And yes you're right, cook it under low fire to avoid burning. Happy cooking.
