- The plaintiffs claim the defendants' dog attacked theirs and owes them for vet bills, so the plaintiffs are suing. The defendants admit their lab got out, but they say it was the plaintiffs' dog that bit theirs and instigated the attack.
So many dog owners are just stupid and uncaring. HOW they could think they shouldn't pay every penny of that vet bill is beyond me.
Oh, Come on they are just poor, poor victims of society. They cannot even afford a proper fence.

I also love the common response of "I was harassed" when someone doesn't take care of their responsibility. No, that's not harassment, that's just someone not willing to let you get away with crap.

I don't understand how people don't realize that if you're dog is not under your control or on your property and it is involved in an altercation with an animal it's 100% your fault no matter if the other animal was "aggressive" or not.
Exactly. Years ago a neighbor's dog (Chopper) attacked my dog (Rex) on our back deck. Had to sue her for vet bills & stuff. Her excuse was Chopper was trying to play & Rex growled at him. Yeah, it didn't fly - she had to pay for everything.
It is the same when they do not follow the leash laws and their dog attacks an elderly person or a child. They play I could not control my dog. Sad days in America.

Wow!!! I honestly can't stand how ignorant some dog owners are... I was at a hotel once with my two "yappy" dogs approaching the door to go inside... a man with a pitbull (muzzled and short leashed) was inside the vestibule... he cracked the door open and politely asked me if I would take my dogs around the corner so that he could bring his dog out to the backside of the building... I very much appreciated the awareness of his dogs possible reaction to my small dogs... I did, however, pick up my dogs before going around the corner, out of sight, before they exited... THAT is a responsible dog owner... IMO...

@@human_kittenz His dog actually scared the 💩 out of me when he jumped against the glass door... The owner had a very short and tight grip on his dogs leash... Any conflict or problem was avoided... Judge Milian and Judge Judy always have so many dog attack cases, and I never want to be one of them...

Yappy yorkies, bichons, malties, etc are signaling another dog to fight. Small dogs don't rationalize size difference and think they can beat a large dog. I train my clients using the "Cesar Milan" method. Tug the leash to the side and tell your dogs to be quiet. If they don't then bend down and go "hands on" and gently get the alpha dog to sit. If you address the "dominant" alpha dog in your pack it will automatically influence your other dogs to submit/be quiet AND influence any approaching dog to calm down. Results are immediate.
Defendants have an excuse for everything. They actually blamed a pallet falling down as to why their dog got out ( not themselves) and they didn't pay because they didn't know how to get in touch with the plaintiff. You would think they could have obtained the contact information from the police that came that day, if they actually cared. They shouldn't be pet owners with attitudes like that.
They could've responded to the fb message..that's one way to get intouch with the plantiffs 😂

I walk my dog aggressive dog on a 4 foot leash everyday. We've had her for 11 years. She became aggressive after being attacked twice by other dogs off leash. It's terrifying
There’s a certain stigma that are attached to people who don’t take accountability for their actions and make up every excuse in the book to avoid penalties. I just leave it at that 😐 Glad the plaintiff won and hope her dog doesn’t have long term issues.

My mothers dog was mauled by neighbors pit bull & died due to being bitten so many times he bled out. My mother called the law & dog warden but nothing was ever done about it. My state doesn’t have strict enough rules & regulations when it comes to animals & the community we live in doesn’t have any rules about keeping contained & on leash. It’s just crazy! It blowed my mind when plantiff said they didn’t send flowers or nothing. First time I’ve ever heard that said in here! I don’t think I would even expect flowers!?

People always make fun of the stereotypical CRAZY CAT LADY🙃which I always found unwarranted, but we need to consider calling out the CRAZY DOG PEOPLE because these dog owners are not only delusional in their logic, they're dangerous. Case after case after case, they make excuses for their precious doggie attacking another dog (or a person) & always refuse to take responsibility. And this is coming from a dog lover, we have 2 in our household. These cases always make my blood boil.
Exactly! A roaming cat isn't going to eat a toddler. People are on notice with dogs with multiple bite histories, and they still act like their precious poochie wouldn't hurt a fly. It's sickening.

If you dont have a fence yet, even if the dog is generally friendly, you need to have them on leash until you get the fence up.

Usually that happens when a person has been killed or severely injured. That’s why a dog owner who loves their dog should protect them by making sure they are always 100% under their control. Then they can’t kill or injure people, or even another dog. When someone is killed it’s pretty hard to argue in favor of keeping the guilty dog alive. If its’ owner wasn’t able to maintain control in the first place how will they ever be able to convince anyone that they will do so after a fatal dog attack?
Irresponsible/delusional dog owners and the worst people. They set their dog up for failure then blame everyone else.

Whether you have a fenced yard or not. It is not difficult to put the dog on a tether! That’s how mine go out. The tethers are just inside my door. Door does not open unless all 3 are on one! People need to be more responsible and careful!

Liars. She said she ran after her dog, pulled the little dog out of her dog's mouth, offered to help, then told the grandpa to bring the dog to the vet. But she didn't give them her information, and says she didn't know who they were... or that the little dog went to the vet hospital until the police tracked them down.
I hate people like this. I have 2 small dogs who aren't aggressive...but I still ALWAYS have them on a leash and I ask other dog owners if it's ok for them to play together. I would be devastated if my dog harmed any other dog.
